I love Indian food. The amount of people who are so ignorant about Indian food is appaling, and…read morethey need to be educated. Places like Tikka Shack are one of the places that can provide that education. Introducing Indian flavors in familiar dishes is a good way to transform picky eaters into true gormands. I wanted a quick, delicious dinner one evening before heading out on a road trip the next day. So I swung by to see what this recent move-in had to offer sleepy little Oviedo. Ambiance was very, well, Oviedo. A giant mural adorned the wall. Chickens, the Welcome sign, even a sandhill crane. It was very pretty. Service was superb. There was a nice cashier lady who gave off a owner or manager aura. We talked through the menu together and came up with a couple of delicious options for me to order. Option one was the Tikka Chicken Pizza (Tikka Sauce, garlic, fresh mozzarella, red onions, tomatoes on a Naan crust topped with cilantro). This thing was a lot of fun! A nice, thin, crispy crust, and mozz. But accompanied by a delicious tikka sauce. A little freshness from the onions and the tomatoes, and you have a very nice pie here. Something like that pizza is something a kid would try, or a subdued palate adult would try, and act as a gateway dish that would get them deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole that is the best cuisine on the planet. I love it. I also had a curry, which was nice. Very flavorful. I was expecting a little bland, but no, lots of good spice and flavor. Accompanied with a proper amount of basmati rice. Yummy. And I accented the whole meal with a cheesey, garlicky naan. Which is probably universally accepted as the best bread on the planet. Love that naan. Wash it all down with a mango lassi, and this place knocked my socks off. I don't know what brought them here to Oviedo, but I sure am glad they came. It's nice knowing that I have a fast-casual Indian place right down the road. Will definitely be back.

Loved the fusion of Indian flavors with more American accessible foods like pizza. Cons: No cons whatsoever. Tips: Get a pizza, get an extra side of rice for your curry, and get all the naan you can afford. So delicious.

Walked in and it was hot , not a very good impression on a first timer…read more The staff was friendly and welcoming and told us we could order in the kiosk or with her. I order four of the same simple burgers with fries and a smoothie(smoothie is $4.00 extra) and spend almost as much as I would going to a fancy restaurant. The place is nice inside with a nice decor and you can see them making your burgers, they use Martins bread for their burgers. Their menus offers burger and chicken sandwiches with fries and they just added Onions rings, they also sell some vegetarian items and have a kids menu and if your still hungry you can try I can't tell this place is very popular, as far as the food goes it is worth the hype. The fries were good and the hamburger was also good but be aware the spicy sauce they add on is very spicy. Overall l,I recommend this place if you want fresh food made when you order it.

I've been to Smashville before and had a good experience previously, unfortunately this last time…read morewas underwhelming and bad. I placed an order at the counter right before a group of people came into the restaurant. However, I was the last person to receive my meal and watched as each person who ordered several minutes after me received their food before mine, even though it was the exact same food items. It took over 20 minutes to receive my food. I understand things happen, however the employees did not acknowledge me or give an update or explanation as to why my meal was forgotten. It wasn't until I went to the counter and reminded them of my food that I was given communication and my food. I think my meal may have been given to another customer that came after me and they realized their mistake and quickly (and poorly) made mine. As for the food, I split a smash burger, chicken sandwich, and Cajun fries. The smash burger was good however this is another reason I believe I was given the wrong order entirely. I had ordered a non spicy patty and was given a spicy burger. It was very spicy which would be good if it was what I had asked for. The chicken sandwich however was pitiful. The chicken was overcooked making the meat difficult to bite into and more like a small tender on bread instead of a chicken sandwich. The bread was almost stale and not fresh. The Cajun fries were good, however not large enough to split in the slightest. For $5 fries I was hoping for something comparable in size to McDonald's fries. It felt as though my container was half filled. Extremely sadden by this last visit. I was such a fan the first time around. I hope it was just an off day for them.
