This restaurant is perfect since it is a walk up window to order and several tables outside to sit and eat out to enjoy Hannibal Square. I got here around 11:15am after they opened at 11am. The guy who took our order was extremely helpful explaining the menu and the heat levels of the chicken. I got the 6th Man Wrap with plain chicken and my boyfriend got the 3 tenders and fries. We waited maybe 10 minutes for the food since we got their early. My wrap was PACKED with chicken and really flavorful. I enjoyed the slaw inside and the chicken itself had good crispiness to it. I did wish the wrap was a tad saucier. My boyfriend enjoyed the tenders. 1 order of fries came with alot and plenty to share between 2 people. We ended up getting a to-go box for half my wrap, a tender, and some fries. The food is definitely plentiful and worth the cost. I really liked the location, service, and quality of the food. Jam Hot chicken is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Winter Park area and into Nashville style heat. I ordered their chicken sando, which came topped with slaw, pickles and their house sauce. I liked that they have 5 different levels of heat to choose from so you really are able to customize the spice to your tolerance. The chicks itself was juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor as all the toppings balanced it out nicely. The price did feel a bit steep for $16 for a sandwich with no side included. Our new favorite hot chicken place! It's been cold these past few weeks, and Jam Hot Chicken was the perfect thing to warm us up. We got the tenders (mild) and the sando (hot), with some fries and cheese fries. Everything was so good! At least we did-- from the moment we stepped in line until we sat with our food in hand it was over 40 minutes. I will say, everything was fresh and made to order but holy wait. Now to the food-- I like to think I can handle some spice but their mild humbled me real quick. So if you're uncertain I'd suggest ordering down a spice to be safe. The portions are massive. Even the tenders were large in size. And a bit pricey given no sides nor drinks are included. Prior to this visit, I had their tenders once at a Yelp event, so this was my first time actually visiting JAM Hot Chicken. We ordered The Sando to split between the two of us. It was a huge sandwich first of all, but more importantly SO DELICIOUS. Bread was perfectly soft and buttery, chicken was thick, juicy and the breading was so light and crispy without being soggy or oily (very impressive). Spice level was just right for us (we picked 1.75) and the slaw/pickle dressings provided a cool sweetness to balance out the savory heat. Obviously there are many sit down restaurants in the area, however if you're looking for casual/quick service JAM Hot Chicken should be a place you consider stopping at. Keeping it hot is exactly what they are doing here in each and every way! While this might be some of the best hot chicken I ever found it wasn't so over the top hot that it wasn't enjoyable as it was just right and this is coming from someone who can handle their heat. Of the different levels of hot I went for the second to last as I've always found that the top level in most places is just hot and not enjoyable don't get me wrong as the level I got was hot but it was just perfect to the point of where it hit the spot! The chicken was perfectly crunchy and full of flavor I found that with the heat being at the level it was at the side cup of those delicious pickles was just right to cool it down a bit as while hot is good you definitely need to find a balance and those pickles did just that for me! Their ranch and sauce was super tasty and definitely added more zest to some already yummy chicken so do yourself a favor and order an extra one you'll be happy you did! The hot fries we ordered were interesting like they weren't the best thing we had today but they were still good and in the future id just skip out on those as the chicken portion is more than enough for anyone as the pieces are huge! For food we just shared a fried chicken sandwich with medium spice, side of homemade pickles and crinkle fries. Their medium definitely pacts a kick! I'm torn on the ratings I know the name says it all JAM hot and they do live up to that name. We had gotten the mild and it was not mild at all. I can do spice I think siracha and tobasco is not spicy at all but the mild made our mouths on fire. The service was good for the 5 minutes it took to take our order and give us our order. It is walkup service, they have an option for eating it there as they had a couple of picnic tables outside. We didn't know what to expect when pulling up there. Recently they had a collab with a BBQ place that was super popular. Located in Hannibal Square the outdoor vibes are super cute and aesthetically pleasing. While I went in person on an event day and the line was LONG, they kept the orders coming out at a reasonable pace. I love that their NA drinks are mostly priced around $3 which I find very fair and reasonable. As someone who enjoys some spice, I usually order the Mild sauce and it's more than enough! I totally misjudged their definition of hot. I opted to go with I like it hot, which is the third level and it was hot. It was hotter than I like. The sandwich still tasted great, and was huge. The coleslaw and the bun helped with the heat and the french fries also assisted. Everything was very tasty and if I go back again, I will probably wimp out and go with something that's a one. I like my food hot and if you do too, I will caution you to still be careful with how high you go. I was in the area and I had a couple hours to kill and I drove around a little bit and then headed over to their location. I actually drove right past it on my first pass and had to come back around. It's actually not hard to find, but for some reason, I thought they were in a more open area. When you arrive, you just walk up to the center window and your order. They take your name and give you an idea of about how long it will take. Everything is clearly made fresh so my weight was about 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. They were out of milkshakes on the day. I was there so I got a Mexican Sprite. That also helped dull the heat a little bit. There are some picnic cables that you can sit at and eat there or you can take it to go. Service was fast and friendly. I was looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch. This was close to my office, so I decided to get just the breast order to go. When I arrived around 11:30, I only saw one or two people waiting. It took a bit to get acknowledged, but when I did, I was told they will get back with me. SpongeBob narrator: 15 minutes later... I finally was able to give my order. I took the hot level just the breast item (14 dollars after a small tip) to eat in my office. Cue the SpongeBob narrator again: another 15 minutes later... My order was ready to pick up. It took 30 minutes just to order and receive my food! I would say it was worth the wait however. It was a tender and juicy breast of chicken with the right amount of crispy breading. It also had the right amount of heat...just enough to make me sweat a bit and use some napkins, but not too much to make me cry. The comeback sauce helped ease a bit of heat, and the coleslaw side was small, but enjoyable. There were crispy pickles on top and bread on the bottom. The staff was friendly and apologized for the wait. They told me they had another large order they were making, but I wished I knew it a bit earlier and was given an estimate of a wait time. I could have gone to my office and came back. I was outside for 30 minutes at the counter, but at least it had nice music and a fountain. The dining area is all outdoors and seating was limited. Best to take it home or to your office. All the utensils and napkins were provided as well. For a thirty minute wait and 14 dollars, I thought it was a bit expensive for a counter service restaurant. However, it does serve a nicely spiced and juicy chicken. It is about Dave's and Chicken Fire quality, but a bit more expensive. It is not a restaurant - it's a little window hut in Hannibal square where you can walk up and order. The first time I went to this place we ordered at the counter and it was about 40 min wait for food. It was worth the wait though! I ordered #3 heat (Hot). For me, it was the perfect heat! My friend ordered no heat tenders and they were also delicious. We also ordered some milkshakes and they were okay, great to help with the heat but just like a regular milkshake. Be advised the second time I ate here, I ordered ahead and it worked out perfect. I also ordered a #3 (hot) again and it was a little spicier than when I ordered it the first time (still good though)! The sando sandwich is an excellent portion. The first time I ordered it I ended up eating half for lunch and the other half for dinner.
