Small shop with few seats. Staff are nice and helpful. It was our first time and there was a lot to choose from in the menu. We got a few different tacos and the rotisserie chicken. Everything was good but my favorite was probably the lamb taco. Super flavorful and juicy.

We finally made it! I've lost count of how many times we've missed dining at Saucy Chick Indi-Mex Eatery just because of poor timing on our part. They close earlier than other places, then additionally closed on Mondays and holidays. But that's all in the past and the wait was worth it! After spending a very warm Sunday morning at the Pasadena Flea Market, we arrived tired and hungry around 1:30pm. Everything on the menu sounded amazingly delicious. Based on our first experience with Goat Mafia at Smorgasburg LA, we had to start with the Masala Goat Burrito and Masala Goat Nachos. Both came out fast and WOW -- generous portions and packed with flavor! Every bite was so, so satisfying. Super clean, bright place with ample seating inside and outside. I love the colorful table wraps. The small details in the metal utensils and napkin dispensers at each table add to the pleasant dining experience. Wonderfully warm hospitality! Easy parking in the plaza. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Ba's Chai Latte with lemongrass and mint (new coffee options!)

Was very lucky to be one of their first customers to try out their new coffee selection. The chai latte has an interesting hint of lemongrass and mint to it. Recommend on a hot day! We tried the bowls and everything was very flavorful. The asada was luckily not that spicy, so it was perfect for me. Good portions overall as the bowls come with a nice warm wrap of 2 tortillas. The staff is super nice and the parking doesn't seem too hard in their lot but it's a bit small. Good vibes overall, and I'm a new local fan!

Saucy Chick delivered an excellent casual dining experience. As the restaurant name suggests, the food is a fusion of Mexican and Indian flavors and style - this was evident in my meal. Everything I tried was delicious. I got the quarter chicken plate that came with two sides. There were three chicken flavor options, and I chose the garlic cumin Jerra chicken. It came with all the sauces and two tortillas, so the combination of flavors never got boring. For sides, I got Mom's Beans (a must have) and corn. As a side note, the corn looked like Mexican elotes in a cup but was Indian flavor forward. Lastly, I also got the steak nachos and it was out of this world too. The service is top notch friendly, helpful, and quick. I have only good things to say. When I was lost looking at the menu, the staff described each dishes flavors in a way that made it easy for me to decide what to get. Overall, I'd come back to try more of their other menu items and I'd recommend this restaurant to others.

Came here with my family and I was surprised how friendly the staff is. They gave both inside and outside seating. It's all very clean and there is a restroom. I like that they gave vegetarian options so we tried a vegetarian bowl and their chaatchos which was super crispy and flavorful. The cheese quesadilla was very cheesy which was good for the kids! I was sad they were out of Agua Fresca/ didn't make any. Their esquite was good too but not as creamy as I thought.

Found this place on yelp and when I saw fusion of Indian and Mexican, I knew we had to try. So happy we did! There is plenty of parking as it's in a 7 eleven plaza. There is outdoor seating with plenty of seats and two indoor tables. The ambiance is colorful with floral table covers. Service was great. They asked if we like spicy and gave us some chili oil. I ordered a (curry) potato taco and chicken tikka masala tacos. Just as I expected, th chicken taco was AMAZING!! It was bursting with flavor, spices, tender chicken, and crispy outer tortilla. I will definitely be back for more of those. My husband ordered the cauliflower taco as well and it was good. We will be back!

Had a delicious late Sunday lunch here. I got a goat birria bowl ($17.50) and was able to swap out the beans for cauliflower. The bowl is a large portion and comes with 2 homemade tortillas and hot sauce on the side. A large side of cucumbers was a delicious light, contrast to the rich, boneless shredded goat. Love the flavor concept of Saucy Chick and they execute it so well. I will definitely return as I really enjoy goat and it's not available too many places. The restaurant is a really cute space with. A Few tables inside plus more outside under the covered patio. The owner is so friendly. happy to support a small business!

Such an awesome and surprising fusion that works! My friend and I ordered the jeera chicken + chicken tinga + birria masala tacos- all so flavorful! Our top recommendations are the chicken tinga and the birria masala tacos. The tacos came with tortilla chips and a smokey and mildly spicy chili oil. Service was super friendly and welcoming. Indoor and outdoor seat available. Charming and simple interior. I will definitely be back to try more off the menu!

I tried the Masala birria taco and the Skirt steak asada taco. Both were good and full of flavor. The flavors are pretty unique. When I first looked at the tacos, they came with a small container of sauce and I immediately thought it wouldn't be enough. The tacos turned out to have great flavor without any added sauces. These were each $6.50. AMBIANCE: It's relaxed here. There's some seating inside and even more tables outside. SERVICE Excellent. The people here are the nicest. PARKING Shared lot (free)

Owner was super chill and their tacos were so good! Got the goat masala and smoked lamb tacos, both had so much flavor and were even better with their spicy chili oil.

I love Mexican and Indian food, so already this place already sounded wonderful on paper. I would say the menu leans more towards a taqueria than it would an Indian restaurant, but the menu and different items blend flavors and techniques from both cultures and they do it well. It's located in a small strip mall in East Pasadena (I think that's the area) and the space isn't huge, but there are a few tables both on the inside of the place and patio. I came in and was greeted by the owner Marcel. It was an odd hour (between normal lunch and dinner times) so it wasn't super busy and we chatted a bit. I let him know that I've been wanting to try their food since I saw them on an episode of 'Worth It' - which at that time, I think they were more focused on their rotisserie chicken. I ended up ordering a three taco combo and getting a Coke to chase it all down. I ordered the masala birria taco (asked them to add cheese to make it a quesabirria taco), a chicken tinga masala taco, and if I can recall, I believe the third was a skirt steak asada taco. You could taste the Indian spices and seriously the spices blended so well. To me it wasn't surprising, but I was delighted nonetheless. Just a great spot with great folks. I wish I lived closer to this place, but definitely trying to make a visit here when I'm in the area of town or driving through.

This place was so good!! I ordered one taco with a more Mexican sounding flavor and one with a more Indian sounding flavor, and they were both delicious!! The Indian one was my favorite, though. Prices were good, and having two tacos was a good deal for a lunch. I would go back here again!

    Julia K.

Unexpected flavors that just work and leave you wanting more! My husband and I came by last weekend for a to go dinner and since we already love Mexican food we thought this fusion would be an interesting combo to try out and I'm still glad that we did! The beans tasted like a spicy chorizo, the chicken was juicy and well seasoned, and the esquite had a delicious freshness with the Indian spices that honestly makes me want to try more Indian food. It came with these paper thin tortillas that just worked with everything without filling you up. There's nothing we didn't like! We will definitely be back and if you're down to try something familiar but with a kick that is unexpected I think this is the spot!

I'm checking out the online menu and noted there used to be fish tacos. Are those just sold out today or are they no longer being offered? We have a pescatarian friend who would love to tag along for our first visit!

I believe that was a Friday (Lent) option and not available daily.

I really want to go here but is everything spicy? I can't eat spicy (heat)

Not at all. My bf doesn't care for spicy really either. These have sauces you can add to your meal if you want spiciness.

We went on a Friday late afternoon and sat outside in the patio area I had always loved. I can't put my finger on it, but there were many reasons this wasn't a 5-star experience. Maybe it was the time of day, but the ambience was just off. Yes, four stars is still good, but I really expected better. The blood orange margarita was just okay. Compared to other Mexican restaurants (and boy, have I been to plenty), the margarita was considerably smaller and weaker in terms of alcohol content, but the price didn't reflect this. When I spend $16-20 for a margarita, it's usually money well spent. The 3 tacos plate was great: chicken, carne asada, and al pastor. The carne asada burrito was also very flavorful. The House salsa was fantastic and fresh. I could have done without my very basic veggie tostada, though. Other places have grilled veggies and just a lot more flavor to their veggie tostadas. This one didn't taste like anything authentic at all. I was the slowest diner of the group, and the server asked me twice if I was finished when I still had half of my plate left. He kinda reached in to grab the plate, too, which was awkward. The third time he asked, I had like a quarter left, but I Just let him take it. It was kinda annoying. In the past when servers were going on break or leaving for the day, they've told me and I've closed out the tab. I'm not sure if this was the case, but I felt rushed although it wasn't busy outside at all (we were one of two occupied tables.) Overall, the experience fell short, and even though I'd return in the future, I'm not rushing back anytime soon.

My group of friends and I went during the World Cup craziness. We had just come from another bar after the game had concluded and with an hour left before closing the hospitality was still as great as ever! I can imagine how crazy busy they might have been before we arrived but I'm glad the quality of service we received was good. I didn't know what to try and the sweet lady at the register gave me some great recommendations. I went with a seltzer and it was amazing (especially coming from another bar I wanted something light haha & no I was not driving). I will definitely be returning and with a group of friends again because the space is very nice and the vibes were great! Perfect spot for game days or an outing with some buddies. As for parking, it's located in the busy area of Pasadena and centered around a residential area expect to park far or in a parking structure; that means walking! Although, that's not a deal breaker as the area offers plenty to do and all within walking distance.

For example, they have a Spanish Language Brewery Meet-up every 3rd Thursday from 7:30-9:30pm monthly. Parking is street only so be mindful of the neighbors. There is no food service at this location but they seem to partner with a couple food trucks serving tacos. Some inside open air seating but the main draw is the relaxing patio. I liked their hard seltzers with fun flavors as jicama, tamarindo and passionfruit. I didn't like so much their signature Yerba Mate Pale Ale, but thought it was an interesting concept. The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary. Free Wifi with log-in is a bonus!
