$17.95/7 days lunch buffet is the best price around (same as their sister location in Alhambra, same name). Been to Alhambra location for almost 40 yrs, but first time to this on ine Monrovia. Same food selection, same price. Same friendly floor staff. I don't know why so few customers. Including my group of 3, and a couple, and a fam of 3, that was all the customers 11am to 12:45pm Sat 4/11/26. Aside from the price what sets them apart is there will always be fish and goat. Some places are hit and miss on having goat or lamb, few locations offer it every single day. Other locations also upcharge for weekend lunch buffet, or don't offer weekday buffet. Safe, nice location, plenty of parking in the back, but try to park on the street in front of the restaurant as that is more convenient. Modern restaurant in good and comfortable condition. Only reason not full 5 stars is while friendly and apparently wanting to help, you have to ask for everything. The hostess does not know to set up water, doesn't check the table frequently (or at all) to clear old dishes nor ask if the table needs anything or how they are doing. Doesn't monitor the tables to see that guests have finished eating and waiting around for their bill - she basically doesn't enter the dining area to check on anything or move along any process. You have to go get up to ask for the water set, go behind the counter and ask to have dishes removed, go behind counter and ask for the bill. That is really annoying. But you can tell she is eager to be helpful, and asks sincerely afterwards how was the experience. She just doesn't know how to be proactive, so customers have to go to her for all services. read more

Food was hot and fresh the lady who worked behind the buffet was friendly and let us know what different things were. Ate tandoori chicken, butter chicken, rice, some vegan/vegetarian dishes to try. Came in during dinner time for the buffet! I was mistaken, BUFFET is only during lunch hours *note to self* regardless I had to stay and try this restaurant! The restaurant is classy w beautiful cultural decor, the service was quick and very attention server. Never had a strawberry lassi before and it was great. OH MY GOD SOOOOOO GOOD! I went here earlier this week after living in Monrovia my whole life and I was so happy I finally went here! I took a South Asian friend of mine and we were both sososososo happy with the food, the amazing service, and the overall welcoming feel of the place! The restaurant is very clean, with plenty of available parking in the back. They had a very easy to understand menu with lots of options for everyone. We ordered the basket of various roti/naan, a mild/medium buttered chicken for me, and very hot chicken tikka masala for my friend (he said he is definitely getting the diablo level spicy next time). They also had mango lassi and strawberry lassi (never seen before) and we loved everything sooo much! My friend said the food was very authentic and he was surprised at how much he loved it. We were so full and satisfied by the end of our meal. I told my whole family about this place and how much we loved it. We ordered the crispy mushroom, Malai Chicken Tikka, Coconut Shrimp Curry, rice, and mango lasi. The food was over all fine. However service was not the best. It took them a while to get us our food. The malai chicken was the first to come. We had to ask for our rice and lasi as they seemed to forgot about it. The crispy mushroom was supposed to be an appetizer but came 3rd and we got the coconut shrimp last. It's clear they need a better system to get out their orders on time and in orderly manners. With so many places to choose from, Mahan didn't stand out for positive reasons. The meat portions seemed small. I think the coconut curry only had 5 shrimps. read more

One of my favorite Indian/Nepalese spots around. The food tastes authentic, the buffet is available 6 days a week with plenty of veg and non-veg options, and they even have 3 desserts daily. They do rotate dishes sometimes too, so it doesn't get boring. Everything is flavorful and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I keep coming back to. read more

We have another Indian Restaurant literally 2 minutes drive away from us, but would much rather travel further out to Monrovia for this place. It's that good! Everything is so exceptionally flavorful and well cooked. You can tell other places are simply reheating food and serving it, but not here, everything tastes fully fresh and prepared for order. I tried this place for the first time. I ordered a chicken masala, Nan, and rice. Initially, everything was good. The taste was good, the chicken was tender and the amount of nan I received was good, but the rice was drier than normal (yes, I know basmati rice is drier than others, but this was the driest I've had). Everything was going well at first but then, I bit a bone in the chicken. Not only once, but several times. This is the first time I've had bones with the chicken masala, from anywhere and everywhere. I've had chicken masala in the States and overseas at many restaurants. Never did I expect to bite into a bone or have chicken pieces still stuck to small pieces of bones. There were a lot of small bones as well, small bones that were sharp. If this were to get stuck in your neck, it won't end well. It slightly traumatized me during the meal, I was so cautious and almost low-key scared of finishing the meal. I've never been so "scared" of finishing my meal, every bite I was being so cautious. Overall, the taste was good, but being so cautious of every single bite made it not as enjoyable. I'm not sure if this place serves it normally with "bone in", but beware of the bones in their chicken masala. If I ever order again, I'll definitely check if it was a one-off mistake, or if that's just how they do it. read more

I was impressed by the variety- not sure if it changes each day but today there was: Samosas and what seemed to be pakora but in ball shape, saag, chana masala, aloo gobi, two chutneys, raita, salad, fruit cocktail, Gulab Jamun, kheer, goat curry, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and naan. Not sure if I'm forgetting anything. Overall the strengths were the variety, but the dishes themselves weren't very flavorful. Also, the chicken masala was dry, and the naan, though freshly made, was very thin and almost brittle- almost like it was missing something. I'm used to naan being thicker and more pliable, but this cracked when I tried to fold it to pick up the food. I went with my family of 7 to have lunch here and had the lunch buffet. The food was delicious! I do wish they had more options but the options available were fresh and delicious. My parents tried Indian food for the first time and loved it! The price for the buffet was very economical and definitely worth the cost. The service was excellent, very kind and attentive, they even stored our cake and helped take pictures as it was my husband's birthday. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with parking in the back! 5/5 from a long-time vegetarian (vegan/plant-based review included): We visited on a Friday night in May 2024, and honestly was one of the best Indian restaurants I've had. They have an incredibly easy to navigate menu for vegans & vegetarians; everything is clearly labeled with (v) for vegan and (vg) for vegetarian. My vegan friend and I shared the Vegan Earth Thali, which came with three different dishes, rice, and roti. For the appetizer we had the mixed vegetable pakoras, which were described as battered fritters. Although the vegan version wasn't on the menu, we were lucky to be seated next to the fridge because I saw that they had a vegan Mango Lassi and it was sweet but not overwhelmingly. Even though we came in incredibly hungry, the two of us struggled to finish our order and had to take two pakoras to go. Everything was flavorful, but not overly salty or greasy, so I would be comfortable bringing folks who have a lighter palette here too! My non-plant based friends also ordered several dishes and shared amongst themselves. While I don't remember the names or their dishes, all the pictures are included below. Everyone loved what they ordered, and we would definitely come back again. Everything else: If you're visiting in a popular time like us, note that there is a small parking lot behind the storefront, and across the street there's a large plaza with additional parking. The restaurant seemed to be a mom and pop shop with the entire family either as wait staff or cooking, so please be kind to them! Took my mother and niece and nephew there last Sunday. We did the buffet. The selection was great, even several vegetarian options that we tried. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Chickpea Curry, and Goat Curry were just great! The goat was literally falling off the bone. My mother loved the Tandoori Chicken and enjoyed the Samosa. The staff were just super attentive, whether it was checking if we needed more water or bringing the garlic naan. Very peaceful place for an early Sunday lunch. Been here once before for lunch during the week last month, the food was just okay and service was meh. Was in the mood this weekend for Indian buffet and this place came up online and thought I'd give it another try. Upon arrival they said the buffet was only at their Alhambra location and the guy had an attitude like I read the website working. After rereading their website is misleading at best by showing a buffet at the top but nothing to indicate its location specific. Obviously my fault for not calling to verify but they really need to fix their website to make it clear what's going on. Needless to say I very disappointed and took my business elsewhere. Now, this place looks a bit on the plain side, but I'd disregard that on the whole because not only is the food great, the serve was on point.
