    it's basically a broth

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Not really worth it. People hype this place up too much. We came here guided by reviews, granted it was under 4 stars. We got the meatlovers pizza and the grandma's spaghetti with meatballs. Noodles were overcooked and it was very watery. I'm not sure how they even came up with the meatballs because it didn't taste like meat and it was dry. It was kind of atrocious, even the ground meat tasted off. What we actually enjoyed was the garlic bread that's it.

10/10 Doesn't miss!! Come here every time i'm in the area, everything we order consistently comes out well prepared and flavorful. The staff is always attentive, even when it's so busy they still make us feel welcome from the moment we walk in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is inviting, sporty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, it's the kind of local spot that leaves a great impression, and I can't wait to come back.

Great pizza, awesome service, and TVs everywhere, what more do you need? The pizza is consistently delicious with quality ingredients, the staff is friendly and on point, and there's always a game on no matter where you sit. Perfect spot for catching a game, hanging with friends, and enjoying a solid slice (or three). . In my opinion, this is BigBear's Best pizza in town.

This place was good. My family has had a house in Big Bear for years and we have always wanted to try it, so we finally did. We ordered a large pizza and after tip it came out to just under $30. A bit expensive for what it is. Overall, not a bad pie. The crust was thin, nice and crispy underneath but not burnt and the toppings were good. The service was pretty standard for Big Bear, nothing over the top but they were nice. The restaurant was small can can't accommodate large parties (10 or more) and what wait list was long. I did not eat here but I was curious. I would come back, might want to try others before but this place good.

Tried Saucy Mamas today and I was honestly impressed! The service was super quick, and the staff were really attentive without being overbearing. The food came out fast and was delicious, plus I loved that it wasn't piping hot to the point where you have to wait for the food to cool down. Definitely a great spot if you're craving good pizza. Not only that but the pizza was very cheesy (bonus points as a cheese lover). I'll be coming back !!!

Best pizza I have had in a long time. First time here in big bear- I was told To try saucy mama from a friend. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the host. The wait was about 7 mins. The place reminds me of the typical pizza place .. televisions around so you can watch the game , bar top, etc. We ordered wings and a pepperoni, sausage and basil pizza. Server was very attentive. He brought us our drinks fast and the rest of our order came out in no time. this pizza was the perfect amount of seasoning, cheese and grease!!! Very very delicious!!! 10/10 would recommend saucy mama to any of my friends visiting this area.

Came here on a packed Saturday afternoon and tried the Tracy's Choice pizza, chicken caesar salad, tater tots, and chicken strips. The tater tots and chicken strips came out pretty quickly. A little too much batter on the chicken for me, but it was also super crispy and the chicken was juicy - pretty good! The tots were also a bit over, but I did enjoy the crisp. The pizza and salad took a bit longer to come out - close to 20 more minutes. But it was busy, so I get it. Besides the weird cutting on the pizza, it was pretty good! I appreciated how it wasn't super hot - just hot enough that my kids could eat it after only a few minutes of waiting. It's pretty much a Hawaiian pizza - my kids approved. The salad was on the small side, but the lettuce was nice and crunchy. Very good amount of chicken. Next time I'll have to remember to get the dressing on the side. Friendly service too!

Great place for a quick dinner in Big Bear! We came in to place a to-go order around 4:00 and opted for one of the "build your own" options. We went for a medium pizza with pastrami, chicken, artichoke hearts and mushrooms. Waited around 15 minutes for our food and brought it back to our cabin. We ended up re-heating it on a pan later that day for dinner and it was surprisingly good! The pastrami and artichoke hearts were my favorite. The artichoke tasted really fresh, and the pastrami was a nice touch and very unique; I don't think I've had pastrami on pizza before. The crust was fluffy on the inside and not too hard. The medium was also a perfect size to share between 2 people. Super solid pizza option if you are in the area!

Is this place popular? Yes. Is this place crowded? Yes. Is this place any good? Yes, absolutely. On a random Monday night during what folks up here call the "shoulder season" the place was about half full. I wanted to order their baseline product of a pizza and was delightfully surprised that the pizza was really really good. Our pie had pepperoni jalapeños and extra cheese. I am self admitted cheese.a.holic and they provided. All of ingredients were of great quality. Overall, this place would be my goto recommendation for pizza in the village.

We ordered a large pizza with sausage, pepperoni, tomato, and basil and it did not disappoint. The pizza arrived hot, fresh, and loaded with generous toppings. The flavors were great, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the quality of the food. We waited to be seated then host came up asked how many then walked us to the table and threw the menus on it and walked away. After placing our order, we didn't see our server again until the food was brought out, and we didn't see him at all after that. We ended up asking another staff member for the check. While the food was great and the atmosphere was fine, the lack of attentiveness from the service team took away from the overall experience. Hopefully, this is just an off day, as the kitchen clearly knows what they're doing.

On our visit to Big Bear we ordered pizza from Maggio's not one, not two, but three times!!! We were there for 5 weeks, so don't judge. Anyway, we had never eaten here before so we decided to give it a whirl and it was a hit! From the moment they answered the phone it was like chatting with an old friend taking my order (this happened every time). The atmosphere is so incredibly friendly and welcoming it makes you want to stay a while and make friends. We ordered large pepperoni, cheese and mushroom pizzas as well as a Cesar salad and it was all delicious. The pizzas were huge and the sauce, ingredients and bake of the pies had our tastebuds dancing a happy dance. Prices are more than reasonable, we fed our family of 4 for $30 and it was good! Next time we come to town we will have to try all the other specialties on the menu. I highly recommend Maggio's for the food, ambiance, and the service. My last review I gave them a five out of five and this time if I can give them a 10 out of 10, I definitely would. The restaurant had a fair amount of people in it when we walked in. We were promptly greeted given some menus and told we could find a seat and when we were ready to order come back to the counter. At her seats, we looked over our menu and decided what we want, and I went back to the counter to order. The young lady who took my order was just delightful. She was very friendly and asked some clarifying questions about what we were ordering gave me a number and our cups and the transaction was made. When we sat down, we came back up to get our drinks, and there was a young man at the drink station who was very polite willing to help with anything we needed. We went back and sat down after a few minutes. Our pizza was delivered by the same young man. He was very attentive asking if we needed anything. And went back to the front of the drink station. He immediately bust and clean tables as they became available and checked on people periodically. There was another young man there with him. Both of them were extremely polite and professional with all of the guests. The service is out of this world. We had our pizza and it is amazing. There is a huge difference between pizza cooked and a pizza oven and pizza cooked on a conveyor belt. The pizza had a crisp bottom crust which always sets pizza apart. The crust was amazing and the toppings were abundant. The wife ordered a salad, which was your typical run of the meal salad for a pizza place. The food was outstanding. We will definitely make this a stop when we're up here. Can't wait to bring the grandkids.

The wife ordered the declaration burger and I ordered the Californication burger. They both came with french fries. The one thing we both noted was the cold buns. This really immediately made the burger not that appealing. Both burgers were cooked to order. I can talk directly to mine. It was a good burger with an Ortega green chili on it piece of cheese two piece of bacon and shredded lettuce and some diced tomatoes.
