Great Pizza!! I loved the crust. Will definitely be back!! The Village needs a buy-by-the-slice kind of place!

On our visit to Big Bear we ordered pizza from Maggio's not one, not two, but three times!!! We were there for 5 weeks, so don't judge. Anyway, we had never eaten here before so we decided to give it a whirl and it was a hit! From the moment they answered the phone it was like chatting with an old friend taking my order (this happened every time). The atmosphere is so incredibly friendly and welcoming it makes you want to stay a while and make friends. We ordered large pepperoni, cheese and mushroom pizzas as well as a Cesar salad and it was all delicious. The pizzas were huge and the sauce, ingredients and bake of the pies had our tastebuds dancing a happy dance. Prices are more than reasonable, we fed our family of 4 for $30 and it was good! Next time we come to town we will have to try all the other specialties on the menu. I highly recommend Maggio's for the food, ambiance, and the service. You'll leave with a full tummy and might make a few friends as well.

My last review I gave them a five out of five and this time if I can give them a 10 out of 10, I definitely would. The restaurant had a fair amount of people in it when we walked in. We were promptly greeted given some menus and told we could find a seat and when we were ready to order come back to the counter. At her seats, we looked over our menu and decided what we want, and I went back to the counter to order. The young lady who took my order was just delightful. She was very friendly and asked some clarifying questions about what we were ordering gave me a number and our cups and the transaction was made. When we sat down, we came back up to get our drinks, and there was a young man at the drink station who was very polite willing to help with anything we needed. We went back and sat down after a few minutes. Our pizza was delivered by the same young man. He was very attentive asking if we needed anything. And went back to the front of the drink station. He immediately bust and clean tables as they became available and checked on people periodically. There was another young man there with him. Both of them were extremely polite and professional with all of the guests. The service is out of this world. We had our pizza and it is amazing. There is a huge difference between pizza cooked and a pizza oven and pizza cooked on a conveyor belt. The pizza had a crisp bottom crust which always sets pizza apart. The crust was amazing and the toppings were abundant. The wife ordered a salad, which was your typical run of the meal salad for a pizza place. The food was outstanding. We will definitely make this a stop when we're up here. Can't wait to bring the grandkids.

Brought the stroller in without any trouble, which is always a win. The atmosphere is what gets you first. There's a ton of cool decor to take in, and the menu has music-themed names for everything -- a fun detail if you're paying attention. Food was delicious and the beers on tap are a great selection to pair with it. Service was attentive and the vibe is comfortable for families without feeling like a kids' spot. It's just a good place, period. Definitely coming back.

This is a really cool looking place. It has outstanding ambience. Really leans into the rock 'n'…read moreroll look. Everything from the bathroom to the lobby to the little dining room is really tricked out nicely. This place probably is more of a bar for beer and they happen to do food also. In the indoor dining room they have four televisions with the latest sporting events going. When we were there, two of the TVs were tuned to the pre-All-Star game, one was the NBA Summer league and the final one was to some Spanish station that had some type of soap opera /talk show going on. The wife ordered the declaration burger and I ordered the Californication burger. They both came with french fries. The one thing we both noted was the cold buns. This really immediately made the burger not that appealing. Both burgers were cooked to order. I can talk directly to mine. It was a good burger with an Ortega green chili on it piece of cheese two piece of bacon and shredded lettuce and some diced tomatoes. Unfortunately having a cool doughy bun on a hot burger just didn't do it. The wife complained of the exact same thing. The french fries were hot, but they were nothing to write home about. No seasoning or anything like that. They were not very busy when we walked in three tables going. The service was slow because our server was talking to some friend at the end of the bar who appeared to be an employee on break. They have a great concept and with a little effort and attention to detail the food could be outstanding. With all the competition going on in the village, we were really looking for so much more. We thought we were gonna be getting a Great light designer burger, that really wowed us with taste. But that didn't happen. Might give it a try again. We're making a point to try to hit every single place in the village and the surrounding area.

We each got a glass of wine, and for our main entrée - we ordered chicken piccata, and the chicken Parmesan pasta dishes.
