Shortly after we walked in, two drunk young adults came into the store being loud, bumping into things, and lingering uncomfortably close to us while we checked out. It honestly made us feel uneasy. The employee quickly noticed and calmly told them not to do anything crazy while keeping a close eye on the situation. When we finished paying and left, he didn't physically stop them, but he kept them inside the store for a few extra minutes so we could get to our car safely. As we were pulling out, we saw him watching to make sure we had made it out okay. That small act meant more than he probably realized. In my opinion, many of the cashiers, such as Nelie and Adriana, I believe their names are, and the manager, Cesar, seem angry, unhappy, and like they can't wait for their shift to end. Another thing that really bothered me was hearing a cashier named Nelie make a disapproving remark in a disapproving tone about another customer while people were standing in line. I found that unprofessional. This store depends on its customers, and no customer should overhear employees make a disapproving or judgmental-sounding comment about other customers. Nobody is perfect, and customers deserve to be treated with respect. The second issue is the member pricing. More than once, I've entered my phone number, the shelf clearly showed a lower member price, but I was still charged the regular price, , as another reviewer mentioned. That's frustrating and shouldn't happen. Because of these experiences, I've decided to switch to Trader Joe's and Stater Bros. Since I started shopping there, I've also noticed that the prices are actually lower, which has been another pleasant surprise. For all of these reasons, I've decided to shop elsewhere. At Trader Joe's, the employees are consistently friendly, greet customers with a smile, and make you feel welcome. While I was waiting at the register for her to ring me up, the least she could have done was acknowledge me and say she'd be right with me, but instead she kept talking with her coworkers. Once she finally started ringing me up, she began grabbing the hand basket on the conveyor belt and mumbling to herself, seeming upset. I mentioned that everything I had was already rung up and that the basket wasn't mine. She then started shouting at me, saying she knew that. Then, when it came time for payment, she began shouting at me again because apparently I was "taking too long," even though the screen was prompting me to wait for the cashier. She kept yelling that she was waiting on me and telling me to "go." When I called the store to complain, the floor manager said she would pass the message along and that the store manager would reach out. Well, here we are four days later and still no call from the store manager. I have only visited this store a handful of times, and every experience has involved awful customer service. I will never shop here again. That was the last straw. If employees don't want to assist customers, then please consider adding self-checkout stations.

I will say that you can usually tell the difference between their brand and the originals. Their home and clothing section can be addicting. They have all kinds of things that you wouldn't plan to get on a trip to the store, but at their prices you can't resist! My biggest complaint would probably be the fresh produce. It's very hit or miss with what they offer. Also check the produce well because sometimes it's rotten. Don't forget your quarter for the carts and shopping bags!
