I love the food at Jimbeauxs. We get it for lunch often at work and it's always delicious. My go to order is the jambalaya, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. The mashed potatoes are creamy and the gravy is smooth. The macaroni and cheese lacks flavor, but nothing a little salt can't fix. Oh but that jambalaya y'all!!!!!! Seasoned to perfection. Full of chicken and sausage and all the fixins you need to make a perfect jambalaya. My coworkers have also got wraps, salads, blacked chicken, and meatloaf and none have been disappointed. I should have reviewed this restaurant after my 1st visit 3 months ago. I'm torn writing this review. On the one hand I want the very nice owner and his son to be successful so they can have the fat bank account they deserve and for them to stay in business so I can continue eating their cooking. On the other hand I don't want to later deal with a crowded restaurant and long wait times or down the road start receiving reduced quality meals because they had to hire other people to prepare my meals to keep up with the increased customer base. You see my dilemma? Can you really feel my pain? I hope so. The bad: This restaurant is only open from 11am to 4pm Mon through Fri so you get a long period to go for lunch during the week but no dinner or weekends. Sucks because this really limits my chance to visit regularly. I find a few things to be a bit under-seasoned, especially the Shrimp 'n Grits but still a delicious flavor and very generous portion size. I've asked for seasoning before and they have hot sauce set out in the dining room. The good: Everything else. I haven't had anything from here that was not delicious. This place takes tremendous pride in every single plate of food that goes out. Seriously. You just have to go to experience what I am trying to say. The owner is warm and impressionable. He comes out of the kitchen when he gets the chance to greet customers and sometimes provide an additional personal touch to your meal. One of the top things about this restaurant are the generous portion sizes and their very reasonable prices and yet excellent quality food. I think most of their business is catering and delivering orders places. You order and pay at the counter and if you get sweet tea or lemonade, you help yourself at the dispensers. The rest of the drinks are delivered to your table. They do have unsweet tea available too but they only keep the sweet in the self-serve dispenser because unsweet is not as popular around here...unlimited refills on the unsweet too. You seat yourself after ordering. Somebody recently pointed out to me, order at the counter/seat yourself places like this are no-tip places. I've been tipping but you may consider that a plus here too. The father and son team are constantly cooking up something different or experimenting with new ideas so it doesn't get boring. I think they have the overall best hamburger in town. Try the MOAB but you need a partner to split it with. It is massive. No, don't even try to compare Papa's to this burger. That place was never as good as this, and besides, Papa's has gone downhill so far I have no desire to go there anymore. You can get this Mother Of All Burgers on a sourdough bun or for 50 cents extra you can get it on a jalapeno chedder bun. It has a 1/2 lb beef patty which is topped with ham, bacon, swiss and provolone. Trust me, the ham surprisingly goes well with it, a great combination I did not expect. But, hey, whatever you order, you'll taste the love that went into it. Ask him what his most recent creation is. Whatever you do, do not leave without getting his bread pudding with cranberries in it. It is THE BEST bread pudding around, better than mine if you are reading this Picha...although my last visit needed more sauce on it. If you are too stuffed to eat it, order it to go. Better yet, eat one serving there and order a 2nd serving to go. That is straight up being smart. The restaurant is easy to miss because it's hidden, like the precious gem that it is. Drive slow - all I'm telling you. If you aren't willing to hunt for it, you weren't meant to experience it. Ok ok. It's tucked in behind Everett's Jewelers. read more

Tried this place after seeing the menu and reading the reviews. First warning sign nobody there at lunch though a couple came in before we left. After asking the lady at the counter a few questions I ordered the jambalaya with mashed potatoes and my friend ordered a turkey wrap with their sauce. Their was a fair portion of food but the jambalaya was VERY bland, it had sausage, pork loin and chicken but no flavor. My friend was not impressed with his wrap but the house sauce had a very strong cucumber taste with a hint of sour cream flavor at the end. Nice enough folks but definitely not for us. read more

Most amazing catfish dinner we have had in forever. They provided their food truck for my father's 80th Birthday party at my home. Everyone at the party was amazed at the the portions served and how fresh and authenticity the cajun food tasted. The owners are amazing people. Very accommodating and very reasonable. read more

I had the meatloaf, my wife had the jambalaya. Very copious portions and it was served hot and fresh. Very tasty representation of traditional southern food fare. The seating area is simple yet functional. You pay when you walk in and take your seat, the entrée is brought to you. I will be returning most definitely. They have been open since mid July. It is not noticeable from the street so take the drive to Everett Jewelers and it is tucked behind that building. You will not be disappointed, not one bit. read more

Couldn't meet a nicer people than these guys. I have been using them to cater doctor's offices for lunches. The chicken spaghetti is like nothing I have ever tasted. I could eat it till I pass out. The Jambalaya was also incredible. I've eaten jambalaya at hundreds of places but have yet to find one this good. These guys are true chefs. I have never written a review until today because I have never found a place that had that "WOW" effect..... until now. This place is growing fast and I predict he will be triple the size he is over the next year. I hope everyone tries it out. read more

Stopped by for lunch. As first timers, we didn't know what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised! The sweet tea was the best I'd had in years! My wife and I had them cater both our wedding rehearsal and reception. They did a fabulous job providing great Louisiana Cajun food for both events. I had many people ask who provided the food because it was the best Louisiana Cajun food they have had. Wonderful , homestyle cooked meals to go or either sit in the comfort of the beautiful dining area . No waiter service but you are welcome to eat out of the heat. You need to try it out , ive had meatloaf and juicy hamburgers that will satisfy anyones hunger, great chicken fried steak and gravy and yes the fried catfish is so so good. The people at my table were very impressed by the presentation, as well as the food itself! It was delivered and set up and I didn't have to worry about a thing-they took care of everything! Yo! this place is amazing. It has only been open for a few weeks and I already made it my weekly Friday Lunch destination with friends. For me, this place simply has the best food for the price at lunch. Nowhere else can you get Blacken Chicken pasta that is so filling that you will have left overs for you next meal for such a great price. Do not get me started on ham melt.
