We have been here a number of times and the food and service have always been amazing. After having just moved from NJ / NYC we were desperately looking for a good coffee / bakery / sandwich / lunch spot and we found it. The coffee is delicious and their baked goods are even better ( we have tried most of their cookies and tarts). It is with some reluctance that I even write this review, as I want to keep this place for just myself and family, but the word needs to be out that this place is "legit." We have had our eyes on this place and we're so excited to finally get the chance to stop in while we were in town. I ordered the avocado toast with over hard egg and it came out over medium. We sent it back and it came out again with runny yolk... totally get it mistakes happen but could use some improvement! A gentleman did come up and apologized and offered a refund for the confusion. Let me start by saying that the pastries were very good and so was the coffee. The breakfast sandwich was ok but definitely needed more flavor. That being said the service was terrible. With Co-vid restrictions it's understandable that they can't offer the same type of service as they may have in the past but this was terrible. First we were told to order online when we got there, ordered and the online system said that the food would be ready about 25 minutes after I ordered. After 40 minutes of no one speaking to us I went over and asked about our food, that's when they told me that they would get that out soon, soon was 5 to 10 minutes after I spoke to them. A couple showed up and got their food within 10 minutes of them ordering from the person that told me to order online. Needless to say I won't be coming back here do to the poor service. read more

I've heard good things about this restaurant, but I went to their pop up menu event on 9/25/20 and I was super disappointed. I placed my order at 7pm and was told my food (2 orders of poutine AKA fries w gravy and cheese) would be ready in 30-40 minutes. I didn't mind waiting because I had heard the food was good and I assumed the order would be done within the 40 minutes as the lady taking my order had told me. 55 minutes of waiting later, I was told the order would take ANOTHER 20-30 minutes. I asked for a refund because I was so disappointed in the wait and in the restaurant's lack of preparation for the event. I spoke to other customers who had been waiting for their Pick up orders for almost 2 hours. Hope they don't provide this kind of service when they don't have special events.. read more

Okay so before they actually opened their restaurant I wrote a disappointing review about Savage goods but Michelle, I'm assuming the owner reached out and invited me back to give Savage goods a second shot and I totally appreciate that cause most places after you writing a bad review don't even do that. I had Savage scramble burrito which is perfect if your vegan. It was a pretty big size too, the nostalgic toast and maple pecan scone which is both also vegan. The maple pecan scone was so freaking good you wouldn't even think it was vegan. I'm very pleased this time around and I'm glad Michelle invited me back.
