Went on Sunday after having a sad dinner experience in Edmonds. Went to have beers and play games. I wish we would have had dinner here instead. Had a great time playing Pop a Shot, Skeeball, Pool & Darts. It was totally chill on Sunday late afternoon/evening. It almost looked closed because so few cars were in the parking lot. Bartender was friendly and helpful offering bottled Coors Light that were $.50 cheaper than draft Coors Light. I can't wait to go back and try some food. A great place for a tasty burger and drinks! Log Cabin homey feel with great views of all the big screen TVs. Has both darts and pool table. I would definitely recommend for a great lunch or to just hang out at night. Service is great too read more

Savage Moose is seriously the cleanest dive bar I've ever been to! We were looking to have bar food and play games last night and I was sold when I saw frickles aka fried pickles on their menu. When we got there, we were helped so quickly. Our server was so efficient and had great follow through. They had many entertainment options between pool, skiball, darts, and basketball. They also had several tvs playing march madness on (with sound which was nice). We played darts while we waited for our dinner and it was such a blast. I got the frickles of course and they were amazing. I also got the caesar salad and added crispy chicken. The chicken was a little overdone but it was a solid caesar salad. Overall, great times were had and we will be back if we are in the area again! read more

I've been to this bar many times, though not as much in recent years since I moved away from Kenmore, but as recent as, well last weekend. So here's what I like about this watering hole: It's a sports bar so it's got the multiple TV's with sports on them. My last visit we were watching the Ass-Tros blanking those damn Yankees in game 3 of the ALCS (I do not like either to be honest). But there was also an ESPN wiffle ball competition on one TV and Footvolley on another. Good selection of pub fare and quantity of food matches quality, so if you are hungry, this is the place to go. I always go for the Moose Burger and tots myself-seriously ono grindz. They used to have a killer Tot-chos back in the day, but I didn't see it on the menu unfortunately, but they do have poutine. Wife and kid seemed to enjoy their meals as well. Decibel level good, the sound of many talking people aside, you can hear the music and still have a conversation without yelling. Entertainment, drunk people aside, lots TV's , lost of games to play like darts, pool, air hockey, skeet ball, pull tabs and Jenga. Yes sometimes the puck on the air hockey machine gets stuck, but just give it a good hit with your fist. Drink selection and prices, on par with most places of this caliber. Patrons, I've been here many times with many friends for drinks and food on a Friday or Saturday evening and the crowd is almost always pretty diverse which makes it nice, but last weekend was the first time I've brought my kid since it's family friendly until 2100 hrs. He loved it and I actually loved having him there. Watch the game, have some burgers and beer (he had a lemonade), play some air hockey and skeet ball. Was good times with the family. Customer service is good, they make the rounds, cup is always full and if they forget to come around go to the bar and they'll take care of you there. Bill has always been accurate. I've never encountered any rude customer service there, but I'm also not looking for that ass kissing kind of customer service either, it's a sports bar and they have a job to do. Just as long as they do their job, I get my drink and food, I'm happy and always tip. So bottom line, service has been good. What I don't like about this watering hole: Not living closer. So bottom while this place ain't no Cheers where everybody knows your name, it definitely ain't no infamous defunct Elbow Room (Dutch Harbor, AK) either. It's the Savage Moose with a great name, good pub atmosphere complete with the smell of stale beer. It's a good place to have a beer, eat a burger, do a shot, watch some ball and shoot some pool and now I know I can bring my kid along, at least until 2100 hrs. read more

I want to give a shout out to this place. Not only is the food and beverage 100% on point, but the staff is 10/10. Don't be fooled by the Moody dark atmosphere. They play all the best sports. The menu is great and everything on it is absolutely delicious. The customer service is better than you would find anywhere in Seattle,, Kenmore, and beyond. As a female, it feels safe for me to go by myself. It's also fun to meet up with people. Outside of the food and drinks. I love playing the basketball game and the ski ball game. read more

Chris is the worst bartender ever, I asked for a kettle one martini with a lemon twist, (yes, I felt it was necessary to point out lemon) he brings me a martini with two olives and a twist in the drink. "Who does that??" When I called him out the next time I went in there, I explained to him what he had done, two olives and a twist in the martini when I asked for just "a twist." This fool said he was on auto-pilot, that when he hears martini, he automatically goes to olives. I said exasperatedly, "you need to listen!" I am the customer, am I not!! I was jonesing for some cheese curds but I had my daughter with me. I was in luck because this place is very kid friendly (minors allowed before 9pm), and they have the best fried cheese curds on the eastside hands down! The dipping sauce they came with was a little weird (ketchup with fresh bacon bits) but it worked. They were good naked and I'm sure you could ask for a different sauce if you wanted. Well this is going to be good for them. It's a shame when an establishment has the right to take away your rights and ask you to take off a hat that says make America great again. This country is about freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I also was Waring a shirt that says American Made I was not asked to take it off , I wonder why not oh maybe cause it was a shirt and I would be showing my naked torso. That being said there was also a dog in the bar and according to Washington law there are to be no animals in a place that cooks and serves food or in food prep areas. So I guess if your and animal it's okay but not a person Waring a hat that says make America great again, when in fact everyone living in America should want to make America great again especially if it's your country. It is mine I am native American from the biggest north American native tribe in north America which I am proud to be an American and native American as well. But I guess a dog as more rights the I do. So to me savage moose in Kenmore Washington can just go flying into the sun. I will stand by my constitutional rights which I feel they have been violated by them and I do believe it's time to make a call to the civil rights people to see if I have a case. I moved to Kenmore last year and I'm now within walking (stumbling?) distance from the Moose. I'm very happy to report that it's become my new local pub. I've always had excellent service here; everyone I've been served by has been fantastic. Most of the staff remember our drink orders and start to pouring as soon as they see my fiancé and I walking through the door. If it gets super busy and they're short staffed then yes you might have to go to the bar to order, but this is to be expected. Food is standard pub fare, and it's very well executed. Their wings are on the large size and always delicious. They have an excellent selection of burgers and sandwiches, and as a Canadian I have to say they've got one of the best poutines I've had in the US. I've gone to the Moose to watch a number of Kraken away games this season and there were always a few other folks there that were also cheering for the boys. There are a number of TVs throughout so you can see the game from anywhere; it lives up to its name as a sports bar. All in all I highly recommend hitting up the Moose. 5 stars well earned. read more

This is my favorote bar in Kenmore and maybe not in Kenmore... I've come here for years. I'm giving them five stars, even tonight.. because the well gin and tonics are the most delicious ever and I don't know why. And the food is amazing... Fried pickles and shrooms are my favorites but I've never had anything bad, ever. Most of the bartenders are great. Family friendly until whatever the cutoff time is at night and I appreciate that I can bring my 21+ kid and my under 21 kid here together. read more

The Savage Moose has been my regular trivia spot with friends for the past year. Every Wednesday night at 7:30 with Stefi, the best quiz master ever. I like the Savage Moose for its abundance of TV's and nice selection of bar food. Food is very reasonably priced, like $11 for a 1/2 pound specialty burger with fries or $8 for a basket of chicken strips and fries. The fries are really awesome here. They even have some things you don't always see around here like short rib poutine, frickles and cheese curds, along with seasonal specials. As a good portion of the menu is deep fried, sometimes the fryer oil doesn't seem the freshest, but otherwise the kitchen is A-OK. There's also the infamous Moosenuts which my friend refuses to eat because of he name, but they're really just steak bites. The bar is divey, but clean. There's plenty of bar games, pool, air hockey, giant jenga and a few video games to keep you busy. Service is great, but can get a little slow on trivia nights as there is only one bartender and one waitress. If not for trivia, I don't think I would find myself up in Kenmore, but if I was in the area, Savage Moose would be a chill place to get a burger and a beer and watch the game. read more

When I was there on 6/6/20, the male bartender there was an absolute nut. Some quick context: Their rules for reopening after the COVID-19 stay-at-home order ended were "1) Only 5 people sitting at a table, no mask necessary, 2) Anytime you're standing up or walking anywhere, you must wear a mask." Reasonable. I was standing at a table with a mask on while 5 friends sat at the table, which seemed like it might be a gray area for the rules. If the bartender had just nicely asked me to separate, then that would've been fine, but the dude started to get really heated and berated me for "clearly breaking the rules." I kept it light-hearted and agreed to peel off. He walked away, I started saying goodbye to my friends, and he came storming back, got in my face and shouted "DID YOU JUST SAY I HAVE A WEIRD TEMPER?!" I had said nothing that would even approximate that, but after this strange outburst, I obviously thought he did have a "weird temper," but I kept that to myself. Anyways, after that, I just left since my two choices were to leave or sit alone at a table and be served by a bartender with a weird temper. Oh, and they charge $6.50 for a pint BEFORE the tip. Dropped by to celebrate the beginning of Spring break on a Friday afternoon. A few groups of people were sitting at the bar and there was one bartender. Very Dive-y. I can get behind that. She was attentive when I first sat down. I ordered and she brought us all our drinks. But then she sat at the end of the bar talking to some regulars for another 15 minutes. I get it, it's slow. I swear this bar charges extra on your card. I've come here multiple times and have noticed that my card gets like an extra $3-7 dollars added from what I actually paid and what the receipt showed. Just last night I got 2 beers. Ended up being $13. I tipped $1 cash. I look at my credit card balance and it says they charged $15.60 this isn't the first time this kind of stuff happens and if this is the kind of low key shady stuff they do then that's super petty and sad. Sucks too because i want to like this place but if they're going to do low stuff like this then im good. Gonna dispute these charges. Great place for draft beer. Has a really good vibe and the customer service is great. We had 6 people in our party so we had to split up but were served very well. Seemed like whenever we were out of beer, the woman servicing us would be all over it, asking if we want a refill. Will definitely come here more often. read more

They are local, and I was looking for something "different to eat" . Reading the reviews several mentioned how good the cheese curds were, I haven't had decent cheese curds since Wisconsin. Checking the menu out they had a Brisket sandwich from Double D meats (local butcher shop in Mt Lake Terrace). I'm always up for good barbecue. They also had Elysian Space Dust... one of my Fav's. I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised with the Brisket Sandwich. I'd love to see more meat on the Sandwich but overall it was very good. The cheese curds (very hard to find around here) I'd have to say were on par with some I've had in Wisconsin and better than others that I had there. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! I came here when another local fav closed way too early like they always do. I got a brisket Sandwitch and some fries and they both were perfect!! The place has many tv's, two pool tables, air hockey, that mini bowling game, outside covered smoking, and tons of room inside! Now I've eaten here 5 times or so and it's all really great.
