Ryan was quite patient with me as he allowed me to test out the 3 different infotainment systems. After trying them all out, I choose one and was quoted at $923.74 and had to wait a week to get it installed since this is a popular place. The other place I consulted didn't even let me choose what infotainment system I wanted and quoted me at $100 higher than this place. They were able to install it in about 2 hours. The only real issue I've seen with it is that it has more glares than the original system that was in there.

After the install: I lost power to my 12V lighter socket, so I couldn't charge my phone. He mostly likely tapped into the same circuit as the lighter socket, causing power loss (Yeah. He didn't warn me about that before the install!) The audio was also making intermittent Bluetooth pairing failures. I would be driving and then music would stop and start again. Bluetooth phone calls stopped working--only music streamed. The install skipped key components I provided, including the fuse tap, LOC, and amp integration What I learned--and what others should know: The 3.5mm aux jack on the BTC-Five is audio-only and doesn't support calls To restore full functionality, the fuse tap must be moved to a different ACC slot so the lighter circuit isn't interrupted. For Bluetooth calls, you need to use the BTC-Five's RCA outputs and route them through a head unit or amp that supports hands-free calling. If I had known all this upfront, I probably would've skipped the install entirely and just kept using my regular USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Aux Cable Adapter. It was simpler, reliable, and didn't disable anything in my car. No wonder the guy had a weird vibe! I would have given them 5 stars if they had wired correctly, but the job was rushed and sloppy. He didn't create a solution. He created a problem! Now I'm going to have to get my brother to help me fix this. He said the tech most likely installed the tap with only one fuse (for the BTC-Five). Or inserted it backwards, cutting off power to the original circuit. Or used a single-slot tap, which reroutes power entirely to the new device. This experience taught me how to reclaim my install and turn shortcuts into teachable upgrades. If you're integrating amps or planning full audio control, skip the aux hack and wire it properly. I wasn't impressed with this install. What a total waste of money!!!!!!

I do not recommend this shop for vehicle electronics installations…read more I contacted them beforehand with very specific details about my fleet vehicle and the hardwired GPS tracker I supplied. I explained the features I needed, and they assured me they could complete the installation correctly. I even offered access to the tracker app so they could test their work, but they declined. After paying a premium price for the installation, I discovered the lock/unlock functions were reversed. I called and was told to bring it back, despite the shop being over an hour away. Shortly afterward, my vehicle developed an EPC warning light and check engine light related to the installation. Their only solution was to bring it in on their schedule, which caused me to lose a scheduled reservation and more time. I ended up taking the vehicle to the dealership because I no longer trusted the shop to work on it. The dealership had to repair the issues, and I was left covering the cost. What should have been a $250 job ended up costing me around $1,000. The mistakes are frustrating, but the lack of urgency and accountability afterward was the biggest problem. I would not recommend this shop for important vehicle electronics work.

They listen carefully to the work you want done and/or the electrical problem(s) you need fixed and provide exactly those services. They do not try to convince you to do things you do not need or do not need to pay for like other places do. Joe is experienced and knowledgeable, taking in my 60's era classic car installing a new in-dash Retro Sound radio with two rear under deck speakers and a replacement center speaker. He treated my classic car with kid gloves and I could not have been happier when I went to pick it up. He also took a look at my "oh, by the way my horn does not work" issue and took care of that, too. Joe quoted me a very, very fair price, did not try to upsell me and did the work exactly as I wanted done, plus completed everything in the timeframe he said he would. I will never waste my time and especially not my hard earned money with other shops, rather bring all my electrical work to Stereo Joe.

I'm an avid Yelp'er because I love Yelp.  It's convenient.  It's easy.  Let's face it, we're all…read moreadults.  You're busy.  I'm busy.  You work.  I work.  I don't have the luxury of stepping away from my desk during the day to pick up the phone and call a bunch of local businesses.  It's a lot easier for me to send off a message on Yelp or an e-mail and correspond casually throughout the day.  The el cheapo Chinese HID kit installed on my truck a few years ago stopped working a couple of weeks ago.  Ballasts went bad.  Bulbs burned out.  And with the days getting shorter here in Arizona, I was officially under pressure to find a local business to help me out with my problem.   I found Soundwerks on Bell on Yelp and sent them a message to which John replied immediately.  It was obvious after chatting with him that if there's one thing he knows, it's vehicle electronics and his business specializes in everything from tint to custom car audio to vehicle lighting.  John replied to me when I was work which made it easy to do business with him.  Not only did he assure me he could assist me, but he made things easy.  I explained the situation and John advised he'd like to see my truck in person and assess the problem.  Soundwerks on Bell is conveniently located in Phoenix right off the 51 on Bell.  I live in the West Valley (and work even further west) but his business is very easy to get to and his hours make it easy to do business with him!  I drove to his shop earlier this week so he could see my truck and the lighting problem I was experiencing.  I explained what was going on, but really didn't need to.  John's vast experience and familiarity with aftermarket LED and HID lighting means he knew precisely what was happening and isolated the situation in a matter of minutes.  He contacted me the following day via Yelp and explained the options and costs in order to get me back on the road in the dark! I am of the "buy nice, don't buy twice" philosophy and since I already bought cheap once... I was not going to make that error again.  John ordered a 12,000 lumen aftermarket LED headlight kit for my vehicle.  It was ordered on Wednesday and available for installation today (Saturday).  The kit came with a full lifetime warranty which was nice to see.  The aftermarket headlight market is completely saturated with crap out of China.  The parts are cheap, the warranties are non-existent and the bulbs are a useless blue/purple color temperature which is useless at night, anyway.  The LED kit that John obtained for me is of the highest quality, runs cooler than HID's and comes with the warranty to back it up.  I dropped off my truck to John this afternoon at 12 p.m. noon and it was ready to go by 2 p.m.!   I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Soundwerks on Bell for all of your vehicle electronic needs!  John was simply awesome to work with on my project.  His constant effective communication made it easy to get my truck fixed up and ready for nighttime driving again.  His customer service is beyond amazing and he kept me in the loop the entire time.  He's open on Saturdays, as well which make it even better for those of us who work the standard 8a - 5p Monday thru Friday.  I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had and will most definitely be back to see John at Soundwerks on Bell!  Subs, amps, capacitors, lighting, car stereos, tint... I called Audio Express and got a quote, but they didn't sound very confident. Then I called Sound Image and spoke with Will and that changed everything for me. He was friendly, knowledgable, and had that old school "I got you" vibe. Almost a year later, still holding onto the advertisement, I called again and told them I was coming in for the install on my husband's truck (birthday surprise). I got there right when they opened - First Come First Served 10am. I brought in the system, they verified the price, and within 15 minutes my truck was back there. I had my little guy with me, but he was entertained by the free arcade games, and convo with Jon. Couple hours later my truck was done and the CarPlay System was looking clean in our truck! I had to mess with the sound settings a little to get the bump back, but that wasn't too hard...and I like to do it. Bring cash for the best deal, but credit cards are accepted too.
