The aesthetic of the location is beautiful! However the pie is nothing to rave about especially for $40. We had been wanting to try this so called "gem" for a long time. Knowing now that the pie is meh at best. I will not be going back. Pie's in this part of California are not good. Best pie I have ever had is in Julian California at the Julian Pie Company. If you ever are interested in going it's not too far from San Diego California. In the fall it's beautiful but all year round is great to go and enjoy the best pies and scenery. read more

Great place to stop and relax and get some great coffee and or treats. Cute little gift shop inside and a play area for the kiddos. We tried their Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Iced Latte and the Vanilla Bean Iced Latte. Both are good but the Brown Sugar one is amazing! Recommended! read more

Sad to be writing this, lovely place and amazing service. The park is beautiful and quiet, but I purchased a pie here for 40 dollars last pie they had for the weekend. Got home, realized it was moldy. Figured maybe cut that piece off and eat a piece, but when I cut into the pie it was also moldy inside and not fully cooked. I used to come here before the prices took a jump. I remember I was excited that this was one of the only bake shops with marionberry pie. Now I drive to Sacramento to get a decent priced pie. Granted, the quality of the baked treats are good, it's just too much to justify buying. One thing about desserts and treats is that it is not necessary. The cowboy cookies are unique and tasty. But overall, it's a nice little spot before Yosemite. But definitely not worth the high dollar amount. I bought a piece of Lemon Cream Cheese Pie at the Morning Market in Oakdale. Perfectly delicious! The crust! I went right back to the booth to buy more and they were sold out (understandably). I bought a piece of berry pie. When I said how much I enjoyed the crust, I learned about the cinnamon crisps made from their pie dough. I bought two boxes of them. We had the most delicious cinnamon roll here! They had just come out of the oven. The ladies were so nice and helpful and the place smelled delicious. Locals love this place, even heard of it being called the best pies in America. Big title to live up to, maybe it is and if so I can't wait! Beautiful scenery upon parking, great views while eating outside...then you go inside The inside has a charming farmhouse aesthetic but it's dim and the teenage girls working the counter take awhile to greet you, after they greet you they don't have any customer service on what you're looking for or a thought in their head on their recommendations and immediately go back to talking. Someone else ended up packing our baked goods and we were very excited to try the pastries. The display of pies is straight forward and clearly don't care about current pie designs. Personally I want pastries to be on trend and innovative without taking away the character or it's tradition, so I need a pie to be amazing if it has no eye catching height, flavor profiles, or crust design. We got hand pies, some pie and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was good, moist and had a nice bit of icing. Not the best but will definitely hit that craving. I'm a frosting girl and it had icing so that's why I didn't really love it. But most people would. NOW for the hand pies and pie. Flavorless. The crust lacked salt and butter taste. The filling was absolutely absent in all of them. Maybe the bakers get the cost of apples taken from their paychecks and that's why they're terrified to actually put them in the hand pies, we'll never know. The actual slice of pie was ok, but also not tart enough or anything enough, the filling needs more structure and to decide on what it's trying to accomplish because it just falls flat. I think this bakery is for elderly people who don't want a lot of flavor and just something reminiscent of the actual pastry because they're so bland. The amount of filling is embarrassing. I posted a picture to show the Apple hand pies. Will not be returning. But the locals seem to love it. I am not local, I do not love it and they need to get out more. read more

Updated review. We've been coming here for a couple months now and unfortunately their quality is not consistent. We got a few cinnamon rolls and they were so dry and hard, definitely not like the first ones we had. We came back for raw milk and cream and holyshit the prices are crazy it's not even worth it. My man got the raw milk still and he liked it but said he wouldn't buy it again for the price. You can get cheaper ones at the farmers market. Another stop on the Almond blossom cruise. Bloomingcamp Ranch is tucked away en route to Oakdale from Knight's Ferry but worth the stop. It's another place that you can walk the ground and take some photos of the almond orchards. I happened to visit on a rainy day so it was pretty quiet. The road leading in is rather bumpy with mud and potholes so take care driving in. The bake shop itself was cozy and inviting with an array of turnovers, cookies, and other pastries. They also sold some locally made soap and other wares. We got a few chocolate chip cookies and a bag of their cinnamon crisps (similar to cinnamon pita chips but much more light.) There are picnic tables and benches to sit and admire the blossoms and duck pond and even on a rainy day, it was a lovely site and great place to stretch our legs from the long drive. Definitely will stop here again during almond blossom time. read more

Beautiful atmosphere. Very welcoming and country at its best. The water wheel and pond are charming. Bloomingcamps is a longtime place for holiday events and weddings. Even hayrides years ago. Perhaps still! However, the pies are expensive. And often all crust and very short on fruit. I've bought several pies a year there for years. And finally realized I was just buying pies there out of tradition and convenience. There's fabulous pies not far away much more reasonable. Full of fruit to the top! We get our pies for Thanksgiving here every year, that should already tell you everything you need to know! Furthermore, they have excellent quiches, chicken pot pies, beef pot pies, etc. I have also came here for lunch with my kiddos. The food is great of course, and the expansive grounds have much to offer. We always make it an event. Come for a picnic; there's a huge sandbox for children to play, a wagon they can climb on, tree swings, a lake you can walk around and feed the ducks. We love Bloomingcamp Ranch! read more

Cute farm stand and ADORABLE bake shop...I was here to attend an event-The Fall Vendor Faire but I had to walk around and check out the grounds as well. There was lots of grassy open space with plenty of trees for shade, a small play area for kids, a pond complete with ducks and best of all...a bakeshop! After perusing the vendors and doing a little shopping, I had to see what was up with bakery. The bake shop itself could not be cuter inside AND out but it is very tiny with limited standing room. Prices are also a bit steep but the items we tried were high quality baked goods. We tried a berry turnover, 1/2 a Marion berry pie and 2 apple dumplings-ALL delicious! I was bummed that the cinnamon sugar pie crust scraps were sold out but that is apparently a very popular item. I also regret not getting a cinnamon roll because they looked delicious and my friend told me they were heavenly. Oh well, there's always next time because they also sell chicken pot pies to take home which I am very interested in coming back to get. MARIONBERRY PIE - WHOLE: I came here knowing they would have the marionberry pie (check their site) and I was not disappointed at all. I bought a whole pie for $20 and it tasted so wonderful. Not too tart, not too sweet, super flaky crust. I'd love to get another one if it wasn't such a drive from the Bay Area! MACARON - CHOCOLATE CHIP: My partner opted for a macaron (labeled as "macaroon" on their index card) and told me it was chocolate chip. It was a decently sized one for $3 - pretty good, standard, and what you'd expect from a macaron! COVID-19 Note: masks are optional it seems at this bake shop - staff wasn't wearing them, but all the customers before and after me (including myself) were wearing them properly (over the nose people!). read more

My family and I have been coming to this bakery for years! I actually live out of town from Oakdale and whenever I'm in town I make sure to take advantage of all their amazing goodness! Their pies (Dutch apple and berry cream cheese are my favorites), turn overs, cookies and pot pies are phenomenal! And recently they have added lunch menu items to enjoy! I have bought their Honey (which is delicious), Eggs, Almonds and soaps! Staff is always nice and when we visit my kids love to play in the sand box and take a quick peek around the pond for ducks! It's owned by a local family in Oakdale and I LOVE to support small business! I follow them on Instagram so I can always see what special items they are cooking up and sometimes it just KILLS me that I live a pretty distance away to not be able to enjoy it as often as I'd like to! read more

A must stop for bake goods on the way to Mammoth from the Bay Area. Love the pond and play area to let my son run around for awhile. Would recommend planning ahead and ordering some baked goods to take with you. They do a TON of gluten free pies, quiches, and turnovers but need 48hrs notice. Would be amazing if they had an espresso/latte machine for a fancier coffee for the road. read more

To think, I grew up in this tiny (in my day) town called Oakdale & had only been to Bloomingcamp once as a child on the school field trip. Of course that was just apple cider and some treats. Stopped here recently on a trip back from Jamestown & it was such a cute lil' environment. I honestly can't describe Bloomingcamp without 'cute' being said because it just has this little lake, and people take professional photos around the landscape, you can take a spin on the hanging tire swing (so fun!) & of course the bakery. The pies were a bit on the pricey side at a little over $20 per pie as recently as a year ago. I stopped there this past weekend to find they have almost doubled.their prices. A friend and I ended up here by accident after a hike one Sunday afternoon because we were looking for a place that was dog-friendly, and boy, am I glad that we happened upon this place! The cinnamon rolls are AMAZING! I'm a huge lover of cinnamon rolls, and these are ones to write home about! In fact, I came back a few weeks later brought of them to my family in Santa Rosa, and I've since had to return several other times for the same tray of cinnamon rolls for my family in The Bay Area. The location is also something to write home about. It's a picturesque, park-like setting with tons of open seating. On the Sunday we went, there were several local vendors as well as a coffee cart set up outside the main bake shop. It was right when the almond blossoms were in bloom, so the entire place looked like a dream.
