Why do I keep trying the store? I just need to drive-by and get on the freeway. Go somewhere else. Just stopped in for a couple items evidently two of them are digital coupons which I've had to login and with assistance from other checkers to have it not work properly. I told the cashier this, instead of her telling me "let me help You with this" She asked if I had the digital coupon? I just walked out. I'm done. We were joining folks for a get together and we bought ceasar salad pkg on Tuesday. I was so embarrassed when the salad I opened on Thursday came out of the fridge looking wilted and old,! This is getting to be the norm for this facility...bad food, wilted salads, bad, brown old lobsters, moldy bread,. I'm reporting this to the CA Dept of Agriculture and safety depts. I've been shopping here a few years- and enjoy this store. They have most everything I want. Maybe they could restock Vernor's ginger ale but they will get too it. lots of fresh produce too. It's clean, lots of carts, easy parking. The cashiers are friendly and the store is well stocked. I appreciate the local Dutch favorites and specialty items. read more

First of all the place is very confusing because they're moving things around and doing a little construction they should be doing that at night. Second Not a single person greeted us or responded to our hellos with the exception of one person Tara at the register she was polite and funny and very kind. it's bad enough. I reside in Ripon but frequently shop at Save Mart locations in Riverbank and Oakdale. The Ripon Save Mart has demonstrably declined in quality over the past four years. Sale items are often understocked, or if available, not properly reflected in the inventory system, necessitating receipt verification. read more

Eggs were way over priced and many cartons were expired or are going to expire soon. The have sales listed tell you to "scan" the sales. There was nothing to scan. When I discussed this with a clerk she said there is no scan so you have to search for it on the app and then virtually "cut" the coupon. Be careful and do not buy expired products read more

Tonya is so incredibly rude, every time I'm there. The entire store knows it and her line is always short because the locals even avoid her line. I'm not sure how she still has a job there. She is completely miserable and has been for years. The rest of the team is amazing happy and helpful. Get rid of Tonya-she needs to work at the DMV or something else which allows her to be rude, sassy and miserable. read more

People are nice but this store just lacks everything! They need a much better deli and meat department to keep up with some of the stores in the area. Also... I don't see why it takes so long to check out at the grocery store. There are times that they only have one line open with a customers waiting and other times that they have almost every line open, but it still takes way too long. The Bakery is AMAZING! In January, I saw a cake they made for a fisherman/hunter and it was a work of artistry. (See pic) So I thought it would be the perfect place for a cake for my in-laws 60th anniversary party. I took in a photo and the bakers made a GORGEOUS cake that looked like lace! Everyone at the party had a piece and it was so tasty, there were hardly any left overs. Then for a real test - I stopped in on Saturday morning and asked for a "Game of Thrones" themed birthday cake. Poor Kelley! But she came through and my friends loved the cake!! (My fault the dragon nest wasn't big enough, I drew the egg candles too small.) I love that you can order a cake on Saturday and it's ready on Sunday where you couldn't do that with a lot of bakeries. Plus their cakes are affordable. So worth it! read more

I'm getting up there in age and like to take care of myself but I was struggling to load my waters when Zoey stopped by while sweeping to ask me if I needed help. She finished loading my cart and made sure the incoherent checker didn't overcharge me and she helped me out to unload all my water and groceries for me. I wish the store had more help, more baggers these kids work so hard. Zoey was so helpful and I appreciated her help. 5 stars for Zoey 1 star for the store. read more

This rating is for the worst checker ever. Justin. Didn't say hello, no expression, no eye contact. I was holding a coupon I front of him that he didnt see because he never even glanced my way. I had to say "I've got a coupon here." I'm sure all he was thinking about was getting home and playing his video games. Gen Z really needs to work on social skills. This is seriously sad. On another note, who the heck is that guy in the front of the store every weekend asking for money. The only reason I go to SaveMart is because it is the only grocery store in Ripon. This place seems to always have a 10-20 min wait for cashiers. Secondly the items are never the same. Also what happened to having a dairy free section. Have to go to Modesto or Manteca for a lot of basic items. Guess it's time to start making the trip to Safeway more often read more

I am a regular at SaveMart....basically because it's the only supermarket in Ripon. Today really frustrated me though...first of all I go in for the whole chicken that's on sale. Can't find it...go to the butcher...he finally acknowledges me...I ask for the whole chicken and I just get "We're out". No "we'll be getting more in tomorrow" or "would you like a rain check?" Nothing. Then, when checking out, the bagger finishes putting my groceries in my bag and just says "have a nice day"...they don't offer to take you're groceries out! This has happened more and more lately. I usually take my groceries out to my car, no problem. But when I'm buying the 24 or more pack of water, I'd like some help. We love this grocery store! They have sooo much, and their prices are great too. I particularly love the bakery department. I saw a gradient cake online, and they duplicated that decoration without charging me any extra (and their their cake was already by far the best priced that I had seen). I wanted to share an experience with a sweet bagger at my local Savemart, her name is Maddyn. I've come across her multiple times during my weekly visits and she always has a smile on her face and is so helpful. This last visit, I'm sure she could tell I was flustered as I just couldn't find what I was looking for, so after circling the store she approached me and asked if she could help me find something. I jumped on that offer. She was able to immediately point me in the right direction. Maddyn is a huge asset to Savemart and I'm grateful for her willingness to help me and others. I was searching for good tofu--the kind that I get at Asian markets, House brand. The Save Mart in Manteca stopped carrying it and Raley's has the organic version (again--they stopped for a while), so I thought that this store might be good. The price is expensive compared to the Asian grocery where I usually go, but 6 miles is much closer and the difference is less than what the cost of driving would be. This store is organized well and it seemed more upscale than the Save Mart locations in Manteca or Modesto. As I was looking for a cash register, I noticed how busy each lane was. Just as I was waiting, some employee came to see what was happening, and he said "I'll take you on 5." and pointed to me. I was finished very quickly. If the prices were lower, I would shop at Save Mart for more but I can save more at Raley's and with Dollar General carrying more and having Target between us, Save Mart can't be my main store. I'm just glad that they have the tofu I use and that the store is close. read more

I live down the street from this over priced market, and only shop here when we're desperate. We pretty much only shop at Sprouts and Trader Joe's in Modesto, where we get so much more for our money, and much better produce and health foods. I love walking into this store, and seeing Dave's Killer Bread at the entrance, for $6.59 a loaf, like they're proud of that! So overpriced.. What is great about this store though, are the birthday cakes! They do an absolutely wonderful job with their specialty birthday cakes! Five stars all the way for the bakery! read more

I visited this location to purchase 2 gift cards. Neither of which were processed correctly and the one for Bass Pro Shops was a Christmas present for my nephew. Imagine the embarrassing phone call I received... the manager (Fernando) still has not come through with his promise of making this right. Horrible customer service for the cashier who was too incompetent to sell a gift card correctly and management for his inability to resolve this issue as promised. read more

Terrible Pharmacy. They are administering covid vaccine and they are bias. I'm classified as 1a but because of my age they denied me a vaccine even though I had an appointment.... they were saying that vaccines are for 65 and older which I believe is 1b. It's either their bias or racist in my opinion. read more

I like this Save Mart for the mere fact that it tries to stay within the town's theme of being Dutch. There are windmills everwhere, a Dutch selection of goods as well as tacky touristy trinkets. Why can't Ripon be the next Solvang? Save Mart is leading the way! Otherwise, the food/quality and selection are right on par with other Save Marts in the region. read more

Save Mart is a welcome addition to Ripon. Prior to their arrival we were limited to Mar Val. There is a reason Mar Val went out of business shortly after Save Mart came to town. They were a small local business, but they were pretty bad. So Save Mart is Save Mart is Save Mart. It's a large California-based grocer with over 200 stores. I really appreciate a few things specifically about the Ripon location. A. They have a large fresh produce department. I live in the Bay Area and the produce quality is consistently better and cheaper than the markets I frequent in my home town. B. The store manager is a great guy. He supports the community service clubs and has genuine appreciation for the community that supports his store. C. The wine and beer selection is great. I love that they have good deals on McManis wine. It's a great local winery! D. My experience with their meat department has been good. Particularly the tri-tip. It's outstanding, and they frequently have specials that are way better than Costco! It's a great store and seriously, where else am I going to shop for groceries? I could drive 10-15 minutes further, but I wouldn't find a market better than the one right here in Ripon! read more

So I am an instacart shopper, I go to checkout to purchase grocery for the client and the cashier tanta was so rude, she told me at that store they frown on istacart shopping and proceeded to tell me she didng have a bagged and I asked her was that a problem, I said give me the bags I'll bag it myself, she said no I'll do it, but it's going to take longer. If you love to spend a ridiculously high amount of money on simple groceries you can find at any other store, then this is the perfect place for you to shop! Everything in "Save" Mart is incredibly overpriced compared to what you'd find at any other store. The only thing you're really saving is space in your wallet. You're much better off going to Dollar General or CVS across town. read more

Hard to understand how masks are not required to shop here. A family member is immunocompromised so we have to be a little more careful. Today roughly 20% of customers did not have a mask on and this was not a problem for the store. How is Save Mart comfortable putting their employees at more risk? Ripon also has a large elderly population and this is the only grocery store in town. It's a bummer to drive out of town for groceries when we enjoy Save Mart. My mind is blown. read more

I go here about 3-5 times per week. It's a decent market. The staff is friendly and conscientous. It's relatively clean. It lacks the "wow" factor of newer, nicer stores. Also the deli has pretty lousy selection and if you want to buy nice cuts of beef like filet mignon or lamb you're pretty much at the wrong place. You will sometimes marvel at the low quality cuts of beef or the total absence of something as common as rack of lamb. If you live in Ripon you better stop somewhere in Modesto or Manteca to get your meat. But if you're just there to buy groceries it's a decent, basic market. The best thing about it is the staff. I have always gotten good service with really great attitudes. Staff gets five stars. The meat selection and deli are pretty disappointing but maybe because they don't really have any competition directly in the city so they don't need to have a good meat selection or a deli with anything beyond boring tuna sald, bland pasta and other outdated stuff from the 90's. read more
