    Great store- fresh seafood

I've been shopping here a few years- and enjoy this store. They have most everything I want. Maybe they could restock Vernor's ginger ale but they will get too it. lots of fresh produce too. It's clean, lots of carts, easy parking. The cashiers are friendly and the store is well stocked. I appreciate the local Dutch favorites and specialty items.

Fishing and hunting cake made by Ripon Savemart bakery.

The Bakery is AMAZING! In January, I saw a cake they made for a fisherman/hunter and it was a work of artistry. (See pic) So I thought it would be the perfect place for a cake for my in-laws 60th anniversary party. I took in a photo and the bakers made a GORGEOUS cake that looked like lace! Everyone at the party had a piece and it was so tasty, there were hardly any left overs. Then for a real test - I stopped in on Saturday morning and asked for a "Game of Thrones" themed birthday cake. Poor Kelley! But she came through and my friends loved the cake!! (My fault the dragon nest wasn't big enough, I drew the egg candles too small.) I love that you can order a cake on Saturday and it's ready on Sunday where you couldn't do that with a lot of bakeries. Plus their cakes are affordable. So worth it!

Save Mart Ripon has the best pharmacy in the valley. Phil provides friendly, professional and personal service. I won't go anywhere else.

I got to speak with someone immediately, unlike Costco Bakery in Modesto (they have no phone).

ICAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS MARKET!!! I WAS THAT WE HAD ONE HERE IN LIVERMORE!!!…read morePERIOD!! The prepared foods like tamales, Chicharron breads, ceviche, and all of the prepared foods are fantastic! First off, this store is beautiful. Everything looked fresh, clean, and well-stocked. The food selection was impressive. Ordering at the food counter, however, was a little frustrating. The young lady helping us was very friendly, but she wasn't familiar with what came inside the different breakfast burritos, so it took a while to figure out our order. One thing to be aware of is that Vallarta really nickel-and-dimes you on add-ons. They offer a chorizo and egg burrito or a chorizo and potato burrito, but not a chorizo, egg, and potato burrito. They couldn't simply add potatoes, yet they had no problem charging nearly $2 to add one egg--and another $1.99 just to add cheese. Charging almost $2 for cheese seemed excessive. That said, the burritos themselves were delicious. The salsa was also excellent and really tied everything together. My only other complaint was the filling wasn't distributed very well. My wife thought her burrito didn't have any potatoes until she was halfway through it and finally found them all in one section. Overall, the food was excellent and we'd definitely order it again. If you're looking for a great breakfast burrito and don't mind paying extra for customizations, Vallarta Market is definitely worth a visit.

A lovely grocery store!…read more Trader Joes offers a wide variety of produce, meats, dairy, premade and frozen meals, snacks, and drinks. The have a nice cheese selection which make for great charcuterie boards. All their Trader Joe's branded items are great, but their produce is often lacking. I was looking for some eggplants but they were super soft and already too wrinkled to buy. I also tried to buy some heirloom tomatoes but their Best Buy date was nearly a week before the date I came shopping and were all squishy. This location is horrifically crowded. No matter the time of day, it is super busy and you can barely walk down the aisles. Everyone is bumping into each other and walking the wrong direction, making the shopping experience really miserable. I would love to walk around the store and take time to browse but I cannot bear to stay in there longer than a few minutes because I don't want to get bumped into. The parking experience is similar. There is never any parking and you'll need to circle the lot for probably 10 minutes before you find a space. Regardless, the store is pretty organized and the shelves are well-stocked. I've had mixed experiences with the staff. The majority of the time, the crew members really encapsulate the friendly and kind-hearted nature that Trader Joe's employees are known for. However, my most recent visit was unfortunately different. When asking for my ID for an alcohol purchase, I wasn't even asked. The cashier, without even looking up from bagging very curtly said, "give me your ID." Her demeanor was not welcoming and rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I would recommend those to come here only if they need something in particular and if you have the whole day to spend looking for parking and crawling around the store.

The prices are…read moreconsistently competitive, so much so that I consistently go out my way to shop here every month. A few reasons why I'd recommend shopping here is because the selection is excellent--I frequently discover new items that I end up enjoying. The store is well-maintained and exceptionally clean, and the staff is consistently helpful and courteous. One of the most convenient features is that the store is open 24 hours. Visiting late at night (around 11 PM to 2 AM) is particularly ideal, as the store is being restocked, it is less crowded, and there are minimal wait times at checkout. If you're someone like me with a not-so-convenient work schedule this place is a life saver! Although the layout can be somewhat confusing, the prices are generally lower than those at other grocery stores in the surrounding cities. It is an excellent place to purchase meat, fresh fruits and veggies, pantry items and frozen foods. The prices for dog/cat food and cat litter are UNBEATABLE!

The deli counter no longer slices any deli meats to order. Everything now is prepackaged and in predetermined amounts. Some items are not available at all. The checkout lines can be extremely long so, I often used the self checkout, but now the staff has been instructed to count your items and if you have more than 15 items then you are banished to stand in the regular checkout line where there are not enough cashiers. These lines can have 6 or 7 full grocery carts in front of you and where as I only have 16 items. Also, you are not allowed to buy a turkey or ham at self checkout or you will be told to go stand in a line. This is a new change and makes it very inconvenient for the customer. Today, they blocked the store entrance with shopping carts placed sideways with a traffic cone In front. I asked an employee where I could get a cart and was told to remove one from entrance and to move the cone. These carts were in sideways Inbetween the automatic doors and not easy to take apart and not only that, but aren't I the customer? The employee seemed to think I worked there and made no attempt to help me. I then asked if I could come in through the entrance and she told me " No, that's why I blocked the entrance." Very poor customer service and it's a shame because both my husband and I used to enjoy shopping here.
