I went in tonight to order a cake. Sandy helped me. I was so indecisive on what I wanted and I kept going back and forth on all my ideas and what I thought I wanted. She was so sweet, patient, and so helpful! She went above and beyond for me and I can't thank her enough. People like Sandy are why I shop at Savemart. I love the people at this Save Mart. But they've quit carrying so many items, it's ridiculous. Five things that are on my normal grocery list are no longer carried by this store. It started as one thing, then two things, then more. It just keeps getting worse and worse. I honestly have no reason to go here anymore even though it's the only the only major grocery store in Ripon. I'm so frustrated every time I go because I ALWAYS have to also go to another store to get what I need now. My time is valuable and I'm no longer going to Save Mart hoping they carry the things they usually do only to have to go somewhere else afterward. read more

My husband and I always come here to shop since they're down the street from us, they have amazing customer service, we usually find everything we need in one trip, it does cost a bit extra to shop here but we'd much rather spend our money here and receive good customer service and fresh produce than go anywhere else :) read more

Savemart Bakery - specifically Mary and the woman who answered my phone call (I failed to get her name). We had ordered a cake from Costco and there was a mixup so no cake for my granddaughters party last Friday. I called Savemart to see if they had ice cream cakes ready for sale and was so happy to hear yes! Plus when I called, there was no hassle. I got to speak with someone immediately, unlike Costco Bakery in Modesto (they have no phone). I arrived and voila there was the exact cake my granddaughter wanted - white cake with vanilla ice cream. Mary, the person who assisted me, helped me with kindness and professionalism. She personalized my granddaughter's cake as I requested and it came out gorgeous! Darn me for not taking a photo. Anyhoo, she also added some confetti to make it that much more special. Thank you Mary! Granddaughter loved the cake as did all the guests (and us adults too). You saved us! read more

This is a very nice and clean grocery store and the customer service is great, very nice employees. Unfortunately, I don't shop here , any more than I have to, for two reasons. First is the guy in the white suit that accosts me literally EVERY time I walk out of this store. I used to shop here several times a week and he was there almost every day. He would say something to me that I couldn't understand so I would just say hi or something and as I would walk away, he would yell something after me. I drove by today and he is still there. Makes me very uncomfortable. The second reason is that I have bought meat here several times, that I would find out was spoiled after I got home. It's really frustrating to get your shopping done after a work day and just want to get dinner on the table, and as soon as you unwrap the meat, the smell is horrible and you have to take it back to the store. I can see that happening once in awhile, but it has happened several times with chicken, fish (only from the fish counter, the frozen fish was always ok), and pork baby back ribs. I would love to be able to shop local and not have to travel to Modesto or Manteca, but until they get rid of the white suit guy and keep a closer eye on the meat, I'm afraid I'll keep shopping elsewhere. read more

This store consistently disappoints me. The one star is for the staff, because they are ALWAYS friendly. Unfortunately the staff is not the reason I shop there. The food is. And in the 3 years I have shopped there I have had more issues with the quality of food than I have had at all the other grocery stores I have shopped at in my life combined. I often come home and realize the food I purchased is expired. I would understand if it happened once, maybe twice. But it has happened at least 1/2 a dozen times. I honestly think I should be able to expect to buy fresh food. I have purchased salami there that was rancid and a bag of flour infested with beetles. But the reason I am finally writing this review is because they are regularly out of stock on common vegetables such as turnips and spaghetti squash. When I asked about the spaghetti squash I was told they have none and when I asked when they will get some in, the produce clerk basically laughed and said she had no idea. Anyhow I think the 10 minute trip to Safeway is now worth the extra time for the fresh and well stocked food selection. Btw I bought 4 spaghetti squash and super sweet and FRESH strawberries at Safeway today!! read more

The only time I will shop here is if I'm in a bind and don't want to drive to another store. The baggers are friendly, but spend a lot of time talking to each other when customers need help. The baggers need to take a class in bagging food. You never put hot items with cold and my bread is always put with canned items and gets mangled. The bagging is my main complaint. I love the produce, but there are many items that I use to find at this store that are no longer available. I prefer shopping at the Savemart on Pelandale in Modesto. read more

Honestly I will only shop here if I am desperate to restock the fridge and do not want to drive to Trader Joes in Modesto. Overall the store is nice, it really is, it seems clean, there is a lot of stuff there etc etc but every so often I am reminded why I drive to Trader Joes instead. The fruit and vegetable department can be nice though I have come across strawberries covered in mold and the last time I shopped there I bought chicken from the meat department which when I got home smelled like it had gone bad and who knows what the other packages of chicken were like though one did seem like it may have been going bad as well. Next time I will just buy canned and bottled stuff from there and do the meat and produce at another store. read more

Wasn't able to find a card for my aunt or grandmother it took so long was already running late to some where. The roses did not look that nice or clean, but there wasn't any left so had to go with what was left. All the employees here all they did was talk to each other and hang out. Two girls were talking and another guy was going back and forth talking to them and then at the register the bagger and the cash register person were to involved into a conversation to even say anything to us. Ehhhhh........ The store is great !!! It has a ton of fresh organic produce however a few of the employees are horrible . I had 14 items so I got in the express lane and noticed my items fell over counter onto the floor and the cashier picked them up and said.... You know we don't usually have baggers in the express lane because it is the express lane ( how rude) Jerico was his name and apparently he cannot count because I had 14 items and I believe 15 items is the cutoff Ughhh why does this person have a job??? And another cashier Tanya well she looks miserable yah know smiles are free( not friendly at all) so with all that said the only reason I shop here is because I live In town and it's convenient otherwise I stop at obriens in modesto before I head into town. I'm a big believer in good customer service because I work with the public and even though not all my days are good I always manage to put a smile on my face and treat people nicely it's what good working people do:))) read more
