The service was horrible first I asked the lady in the front where the restrooms were she said to ask the seafood ppl for the code. The man up there said no bc he was helping a customer and to ask the deli, I walked there and asked the deli lady who was not helping a customer she was just standing there shredding the meat and eating it..... said she was also too busy and to ask the seafood guy. But at least the place looked nice and stocked. Will not be coming here again everyone I approached were so rude.

I like when people represent well. I made the decision to try this Salmon that is suppose to be very nutritious. I love humor so I regularly say... "ok pop quiz, you ready?" Well Chris in the fish department really represented well. Answered my questions and had personal experience to share about cooking and enjoying Salmon. ...even offered to weigh whole fillet opposed to cut fillets so I could see the difference. Very kind Chris. I'm one that can tell when people are acting like you're bothering them. Ugh. That is not the case shopping here. Thanks for making my shopping experience easier. Jamie, socialphobic tendencies. PS fancy Salmon readers i'm hoping this lil grill will do the job. GRAND FINALLY- grilled with basil , and shake of Himalayan sea salt nicely 25 min, skin crispy. Fresh lemon. Excellent.

Stock up while you can !

Why are all the S-Marts in Sacramento called " Save Mart?" The store layout is almost exactly the same, the workers wear the same colored aprons, and the prices are the same. If I were to have it my way, I'd have S-Marts in Sacramento instead of Save Mart because from my experience, the employees at S-Mart are way more friendly, and the stores are cleaner/updated/modern. Where am I going with this? Who knows! I just want to know why they're called Save Mart in Sacramento and if they're even the same store? Anyways, enough of all that nonsense. I like this location . Their salmon is such a hit, especially if they're on sale (which they normally are 85% of the time ) I like that it's not farm raised either. I usually come to this location because the ones in my area usually sell out. Only con about it, is that it's a boneless fillet with skin attached. One time, I had come in to buy some salmon but the meat/ seafood dept was closing up. The kind gentlemen behind the counter cleaned everything away but went to the back to get us some anyway . Super nice customer service ! I also have to mention that they do sell organic products at a reasonable price, nothing too outrageous. Would I come back ? Yeah! It's a good location with excellent customer service, and great finds. And for you people that think every part of Stockton, CA is bad then, you're wrong ! Quit watching the news and go buy some salmon at S-mart.

08/27/16 super impressed that they carry Kona Brewing Co. beer!

Most checkers here are usually ok and helpful but today Erika was rude and not very helpful when I asked her about the coupon offer.

Just your average super market with decent prices, decent quality meats and produce. Nothing bad but nothing to excite you either.

Pretty upscale market with a nice deli and bakery for this area. I'd say real close to Whole Foods…read morequality and the prices match. But this local indy store has been around in this town for over 55 years, so it is well deserved for them to be a local fave. I only got a sandwich for the road and a bakery item, so no significant grocery shopping. I was traveling back home and didn't have a cooler so I refrained. But next time if I have a cooler, their meat counter will get exercised. Got a Salami Sandwich ($11/4*) from their deli and it was pretty solid. Every sandwich is customized, so every customer fills out a card, checks off your preferences and hand it over to a deli clerk. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just your basic sandwich stuff, but with quality and fresh ingredients. I liked everything in my sandwich, was even to put alfalfa sprouts in it, as I haven't had that option in over a decade. I wished there would have been an option to add oil n vinegar to make it more 'Italian' tasting, so I had to settle on just mayo and mustard, which is more classic American tasting to me. Still a solid sandwich that I was able to eat in 2 intervals so a decent value in my book. Coffee Crunch Cake ($7/3.5*) Very impressive tall cake with a very moist crumb. A little too industrial tasting for me but better than other grocery cakes like Safeway, which taste like plastic to me, so many additives and stabilizers. Cake part had a light chocolate taste, but maybe it was supposed to be more coffee-like? I couldn't taste any coffee except for this super hard and sweet candy on top used for garnish. Indeed that candy offered a 'crunch' element but in a very cloying and awkward way. Sure it was nice and glossy and even resembled shiny coarse stone like obsidian. But to take a bite that big of hard candy to go along a delicate cake was just too extreme for me. I think if that candy were in smaller chunks, more like a crumb texture, it would disperse more sending coffee flavor more evenly and not risk breaking a tooth on that hard sweet candy. I had higher hopes for this. Gawked at their butchers counter and it was pretty darn impressive, Pretty high quality stuff but also insanely expensive. Steaks start at $20 per pound and easily rises double to triple from there. But they got some serious cut steaks here, like 2-3 inch thick cuts and they even have a couple versions of wagyu steaks. Nothing is prewrapped, everything has to go through a clerk. Produce section just meh and regular. Well kept but Safeway may have a more extensive produce section. Dry goods definitely Whole Foods level. They seem to have a guy out front bbqing meats like sausages and tri-tip, like 7 days a week, which is impressive. I got there around 11 am and the employee was just setting up. Otherwise I may have tried something. Cool store, that if this were in my town, I'd be a reg. Since I was just a passing traveler, just call me impressed.

I love to cook, so of course grocery shopping is fun to me. Their house generic goods usually cost a fraction of the price that competitors charge (including the other store that starts with a W!) Make sure to hit up the bulk bins. I bought about 2.5 weeks worth of groceries -- including cheese and some delightful chocolate wafers -- for under $65. I even found some brands and products that I can't easily find in my own area (Contra Costa County.) At checkout time, things move pretty smoothly and efficiently. My checker was friendly and super speedy. I was able to bag up my own groceries out of the way of the next shopper, which I think keeps the lines running quickly. I'll definitely be coming back again!

So today at around 2 pm, I went in and bought cream cheese, bread, Diet Coke mini's, Coke mini's,…read moreand fruit snacks. I get to the register and the worker RoseMarie was my cashier. A lady in front of me had an adorable baby so I complimented her on how beautiful her daughter and said that my biggest dream is being a wife and a mom. Rosemarie looked at me with disgust when I had said that. Then when I paid for my things, I had NO POCKETS so I had to pull the money from my bra and she got disgusted and said "I have to touch that. That's disgusting" and proceeded to put on hand sanitizer in front of me. May I add, I took an hour long shower before leaving my house to be met with horrible, rude, bitter woman. Winco HR please look into her customer service background because I'm pretty sure she has none. She is rude. I'm 24 years old and I have more respect than her. And lady, grow up. You made my day absolutely horrible in the worst way possible.
