Brisket - flat and point separated at home

Awesome shop and importantly high quality cuts of meat with great variety. I went for a specific cut of brisket and the staff was awesome and pulled out a whole brisket to let me choose the cut.

Probably the best butcher in the greater Boston area. If you are looking for some authentic Japanese A-5 Wagyu, this is your spot. Staff is always helpful and friendly. They also have a variety of other great cuts of meat including their own dry aged. Amazing selection of Jenni's ice cream too and lots of other great snacks.

Snake- seriously! How do you suppose you deal with all those teeny tiny bones?

The bluefish at Savenor's is a dollar a pound LESS than Wholefoods. Yes, the prices are higher than Johnny Foodmaster, but would you eat meat from there? Get over it folks. The meat and fish at Savenor's are the best, and you pay for that, but not as much as you are all making it sound like! And while I'm up here on this soap box, Savenor's opened in 1939 in the location it is in right now. If they are an example of the yuppification of anywhere then they must have pioneered it.

I have the hardest time to rate this place. We didnt get what we came for but it is a very nice place. Clean and spacious. We are new to the area so we were looking for a butcher shop to buy rare cuts of common meat, such as beef shanks, neck bones, bone marrows, oxtails, pork belly, etc. They didnt have them. They did have oxtails in the freezer section but super pricey. I missed getting them as regular meat section for 1/4th of the price. Instead, they have good selection for exotic meat boar, kangaroo, python, bison. Not something I was looking for though. My husband had kangaroo and bison burger from thiss place before and they are delicious. And good selection of frozen stock/broth. But again, I like to make my own. They have good selection of bacons and ice cream. I got the milkest chocolate ice cream and that's probably the best chocolate ice cream I ever had. I can tell it was made from high quality products due to the creaminess instead of air filled like supermarket ice cream. They also have grass fed cow milk in glass bottle. It was $4.49 and $1.49 if you want to refill it for a 32 oz. They have lower fat milk and half and half. No heavy cream though. I wanted to buy some good heavy cream to make clotted cream. Minor stuffs: Parking is a pain. They also charged 10 c for a bag. Overall, it is a good store if you came and know what you are looking for. We didnt get the stuffs we wanted. And the stuffs are pricey but its cambridge,

Crown Roast of Lamb was delicious. So tenders and beautifully stitched - more than we could eat but too tender for stew.

The store was clean and spacious. Plenty of good looking sausages and meats to bring home for cooking, but I came to grab some lunch. I got the prosciutto lovers and was happy with my choice. The bread was soft and a good texture. The sandwich had prosciutto, fresh mozz, basil leaves, tomatoes, and was seasoned with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. Was it the most amazing sandwich I'd ever tasted? Nah, it was standard, but for less than $13 for a sandwich that was longer than my forearm, it was a fantastic deal. Service was speedy and the two folks who helped me out were friendly. There were two people in front of me, but I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches!

The folks behind the counter are sweet and accommodating. Most importantly, THE FOOD!!! We have the turkey blue cheese, the prosciutto lover, and the corned beef. Yum across the board, but the prosciutto was exceptional. The prices, especially for the quality and quantity, are much better than a typical sub shop ($8.50 for a sandwich in this neighborhood is straight up cheap these days and I could only finish half because it was so big!). Easy parking at the end of the block. Will come back and back and back. Will try the tuna next.

There are options for AYCE as well as by weight, and if you do by weight you have to weigh everything you get at the side buffet and only get meat from the counter, so we opted for AYCE because that seemed cumbersome. The service here was friendly and attentive and as long as your token is green, the meat literally comes nonstop! I really liked their sides and salads, especially the plantains and fresh fruits. The meats were perfectly done and though they didn't really ask, all my pieces were medium/medium rare which is how I like it. The cut that was infused with garlic was really good, as were the sirloin and the chicken hearts and spicy pork sausages. Some pieces were very salty, but I'm pretty sensitive to salt. The grilled pineapple was luscious. If we didn't already have cake waiting for us at home, I would have definitely indulged in some tres leches or lime cake. They ended the meal with cooked cheese dipped in honey or guava sauce which was interesting. The fresh fruit at the salad bar was really refreshing. I probably wouldn't come back because it's just way too much meat/food for me and not my usual favorite (also rather pricey for dinner/weekends). However, my family had a great meal here and I think it's definitely a step up from fogo de chao in terms of quality and service. If you're into Brazilian steakhouses (or steak in general) I would highly recommend this place.

A hidden gem from my perspective. It's nothing fancy, sometimes a little hard to communicate with the cashier but they are great people and have great food. The Food~ The spicy sausage is juicy and rich with a bit of a kick. The garlic and regular Picanha meat are also soft and tender. The crusty skin with the garlic and salt bits mends well with the meat. Paired together with the jasmine butter rice neutralizes the saltiness and pulls you back for more. The oxtail and soup is also very good. The warm soup with the tender oxtail paired again with the rice is the perfect combo. There wasn't a lot of vegetable options but I'm not complaining :) The Logistics~ There is plenty of parking on the street and also a public parking lot near Blanchard. A party of 4 is considered large for this place and you'll end up taking all the seats. Don't like sticking around too long and the seating area is pretty limited and not the best for private conversations.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the food given that I enjoy meat but am not usually the type to go all out on meat at barbecue restaurants. Friendship BBQ has a wide array of meats available and in my experience, the service has always been prompt. I really like that they place your skewers on the warming tray to keep your food hot and tasting fresh even if you get to it later on in your meal. There's also a skewer bin so that you can keep the table clear and tidy. My personal favorites are the pork belly with enoki mushrooms, chicken heart, and pork intestine, although you really can't go wrong with any of the skewers (at least that I've tried). The meat with the sauteed bean sprouts (pea pods), grilled green beans, and egg fried rice are my go-to side dishes although I'd love to try out more. There's also bubble tea, soju, and beer so it's a great place to stop by and eat with friends and there's something for everyone. Overall, I've been thoroughly impressed by the food at Friendship BBQ. I really like that they have a variety of food and authentic meats for more adventurous eaters.
