They always ensure the less fortunate have a nice meal and essentials especially around the holidays. This foundation cares about what they do. I have worked with them a few times and the amount of effort and love they put into each event gives each individual HOPE. They matter and they are worth it. This foundation has taught me that and I am so honored to be a helping part of a foundation that wants to make a difference.

The ladies who volunteer are so sweet and the money goes towards a lot of charities. It's a small thrift shop, but I like that. It's much easier to find great stuff when there aren't a billion racks of cheap clothes to dig through. I've only recently developed a love of thrifting. I don't know why it took me so long. I'm doing good for the earth and my bank account thanks me.

My thought process, when thrifting, is: keep your parameters broad like "holiday decor" or "brand name clothing" and manage your expectations. Some days I might not find anything at all, but other days I will find an item for $5 that retails for $40. In the past, I have purchased Boden (sweater vest) and Cloth and Stone (brand sold at Anthropologie) at a significant markdown. You really have to sift through the racks and if you have a good eye for material, cut/style, and enjoy the thrill of a hunt, include this Goodwill location as part of your thrift store expeditions. You will find me googling brands on my phone in the middle of sifting, because I am curious about brands. I'd say less of their clothing is vintage, and more of it is donations from brands I recognize at popular retailers. When you walk in, the smell of air freshener will hit you pretty hard so if you can tolerate that, you should be all set. The best finds (to me) have been in the women's clothing sections (tops specifically); less so for kids toys, dresses, bags/purses or any other section. But... it depends on the day, week, flow of the donations as to what inventory you will find on the shelves. Overall, it's always been a pleasant experience here! They have a drive-through donation drop-off at the side of their store that makes donations really convenient as well.

You receive a coupon good for $2 off of a $5 purchase or save 20% off of a $100 purchase. One thing I didn't realize is that you have to take a survey in order to get the code so you can use the coupon. I was in the middle of checking out and Taylor was very kind and patient as I finished my survey so I could redeem my coupon. I love that items are being resold instead of going into a landfill and benefiting a great cause!

They have many items on par with typical Goodwill donations, but for 3 times the price. For example, a $38 Sonoma leather jacket from Kohl's. Regarding service, the clerk clearly did not plan to speak to me. However, I kept eye contact until she was forced to acknowledge me. At which point she said hello and I replied in kind. The next customer who entered received a much more enthusiastic greeting that I did. Towards the back, a male clerk walked by me several times, but also didn't speak. Overall, it's a cute set up, but not worth the time or the consideration of spending money. Especially if they can't be bothered to speak.
