We were heading to San Diego when we needed gas and lunch! Before going to Porto's Bakery, we decided to get gas first. Then we saw Savers thrift store! As we entered Savers, we were quickly greeted by the staff. The store was a nice sized one and very clean! Everything was very organized! They have clothing, household items, books, purses, bags, jewelry, shoes, and more. It all depends on the donations. The prices seem very steep to me. I guess I've never thrifted in Los Angeles before?!?! They are open seven days a week from 10 am to 8 pm. You can join their club and get points towards a discount. 100 points equals 1 reward. Each reward is a 20 percent off your next purchase. You'll have to read the fine prints. If you're 55 plus, shopping on Tuesdays is a perk! They say you can get 30 percent off. ( EXCLUDES new merchandise with the red tags on them ). I would ask the clerks about this before shopping and ask about their "restrictions may apply" policy! Overall, it was a nice tour of the store. Know your prices vs shopping secondhand prices. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Ample parking! read more

First time at a Savers, and I'm not mad at it. The cashiers seemed gracious, the selection was okay (some things priced a little high), and the entire store was immaculate. I didn't find much, but I'll be back for sure with more donations. That was our initial purpose. I know this is a "for profit" second hand store, but Goodwill is wild with their limited hours and no longer accepting donations at this time response when I call. Also, Savers gives you a 25% off purchase coupon, Goodwill has gone down to 10%. If I were to put them in order of where I'd go thrifting, it would still be Goodwill, then Savers, then Salvation Army. Probably the most organized and clean thrift store I've been to. Everything is neatly shelved/grouped in categories. The assortment is all in very good condition; even the clothes are all clean and neatly hung. There were no weird smells and overall it was a fun shopping experience. Northridge, CA Finally had the chance to visit this new thrift store, and I'm glad I stopped by. Right when you walk in, you'll notice how neat and well-organized everything is. The store is fully stocked, and they clearly mark that purple tags are 50% off ~ who doesn't love a good deal!!! As I browsed through the aisles, I couldn't help but notice that the prices are much higher compared to other thrift stores I've been to ~ especially considering these are secondhand items. The most expensive thing I came across was a Gucci purse priced at $599.99. I didn't check whether it was authentic since it wasn't something I was interested in, but most of the luxury bags are tied up and secured. I ended up buying a curtain panel, a rug, and a few shirts, all with purple tags. The self-checkout area is a nice touch ~ there were about 8 stations, so checking out was smooth and quick. Overall, it's a clean, well-stocked store with some good finds if you're willing to hunt ~ just be prepared for slightly higher prices. read more

I went to their Sneak Peek soft opening a few days before their grand opening. I was excited for a Savers to come to this area as the closest one is in Arcadia I believe. Prices were all over the place. For example, I found the same brand/size jean shorts with and without a raw hem with a $2 price difference. One was priced at $10.99 and the other for $13.99. $10+ for jean shorts at a thrift store is kinda high in my opinion. I didn't see any signage of the color of the week but at checkout the green tags were half off. So good to know in the future that they do that. It justifies their mark ups (Kinda). The store was nice and organized. Self checkout only btw but staff is there to help out. Parking is great too. read more

Wow! Okay, we honestly had nothing to expect coming in here. We didn't even know Savers was a thrift store and thought this was going to be another dollar store since it was replacing the 99 cents location that used to be here. Turns out, this would be one of the most organized and brightly-lit thrift stores we've both ever been to. We were pretty impressed by the pricing on the products here, granted some high-end brand products may still be pricey even though they are second-hand. However, a lot of prices were still pretty decent in my opinion and it didn't feel like the prices were extremely high to where the company gives greedy vibes. We saw printers for $8-16, photo frames for $1-2, DVDs $2.99, and other electronic/appliances like the Wii being $24.99, Wii U $49.99. I think you can get great finds here, but definitely be aware of how much some products are and remember that most if not all are secondhand before finalizing a buy. I got a pretty decent HydroFlask for only $4.99! Every time I come here I spend close to $90-100 which goes down to $60-70 with a coupon. Many items are overpriced but hard to pass up on a lot due to good findings, which keeps me coming back. Be sure to scan old (expired) coupons because they always end up working. Glad to see another Savers open up in LA county. I'm used to visiting the ones in Anaheim hills or Riverside. read more

Welcome, Savers! I stopped by today for their grand opening, and it was packed. They had plenty of staff available to explain the store's setup to customers. The store was very clean, with everything neatly organized into different aisles and categories. It's a huge thrift store. I left with some cute household decor, a few new work shirts for myself, and some fun shirts for my kids. They have about eight self-checkout counters, so you can get through quickly without standing in long lines. On the side, they have a donation center, so you can drop off items as well. If you're a thrift lover or just someone who enjoys a great deal, I definitely recommend checking out Savers. read more

I'm not sure who is setting the prices here, but they are completely out of touch. I've visited Savers locations across multiple states, and I have never seen prices this outrageous. A single tea cup for $25.99? A dirty vintage radio for $89.99--one that didn't even work when I finally found a place to test it? This is supposed to be a thrift store, a place for affordable finds, not a reseller's showroom. It's disappointing to see thrift stores becoming just as greedy as the online resellers they used to be an alternative to. Even the clothing prices are absurd--Amazon Basics items priced higher than Amazon itself, and a fake Gucci shirt zip-tied to the wall for over $100. Yes, there are a few decent deals if you dig deep enough, but overall the pricing here completely defeats the purpose of thrift shopping. read more

It's a hit or miss as with most thrift stores but there are a lot of hidden gems here if you are patient enough. I got an antique catch all container that my household adores. They also give you a discount each time you donate! All in all the store is quite organized and even color coordinated in some areas so I think it's worth a visit read more

Ok I have found my new obsession. In the past I've had all kinds of experiences at thrift stores. A lot of them can be a little grubby. Not Savers! I was so impressed by the organization of this store as well as the quality of the items. While not everything was perfect, I didn't see a lot of stained clothes or broken houseware items. It almost felt like I was shopping a regular store. I love the toy grab bags. I can't wait to take my son here to pick one out. The selection of purses and shoes was pretty decent! I was so surprised. I also loved the self checkout. Everything is clearly labeled with a QR code so it's easy to pay for everything. Prices were a little all over the place but still on the cheap side. Like I found some Old Navy shirts that I could probably get online during a sale for cheaper. So yes, it's true that Savers seems to be a little higher priced that other thrift stores, but that being said, I still really enjoying thrifting here. First of all, if you bring stuff to donate, they give you a 20% up to a $100 coupon. Which actually makes your trip 20% cheaper. AND I really love how this store is organized by size. It's SO EASY to find pants, jackets, etc in the exact size you are looking for. I also love their book selection and if you buy 4 books you get a 5th book for free. They also have sales frequently and if you sign up for their rewards program (which is free to join) they email you discounts and coupons every week. Three stars because the sound of the metal hangers sliding on the metal racks is diabolically painful to my ears. I could not handle the sound. I had to shove tissue in my ears just to bare it and be able to shop. The store is incredibly organized and clean bright and cheerful. The security guard was nice. Said hello and goodbye to us. Their prices are OK. Lots of good stuff in there. Self check out is lame as heck. read more

However if we are honest here, low income individuals visit stores like these to provide clothing or necessities for their families because they can't purchase items at regular price. What a TREMENDOUS disappointment. I used to love Savers, but the prices started to creep up, then jump up. Still, when this site opened, I was happy to give it a try because it is near other places I shop. The prices are even higher here than at the one in Arcadia & I didn't think that was possible. $10.99 for a used blouse? Say what now? Why would I pay more for something used that I can get new at Kohl's on clearance? And I do mean the EXACT SAME ITEM. Parking is a real challenge because the lot simply isn't big enough for all the stores in this little shopping center. That being said, the prices kind of defeat the purpose of thrift shopping. Some items were in good condition, but priced like Marshall's or TJ Maxx. The staff in donation recievjng are always very nice And the security guard guy always nice. The front staff with registers the ladies usually as re very sarcastic and rude both t times. I busted a little mission from SGV to see what thrifting in the SFV was like and this store was not worth the trip. Although the store is fairly clean, the selection was not great, but the prices were just atrocious. Savers is the type of place to charge you twelve bucks for a jar of sand. Or ten for a Fashion Nova shirt with stains on it. If something is name brand they will charge 20-30 bucks or more regardless of whether it's even in good shape, stinky, etc. There are better thrift stores in the area and I would not recommend coming out of your way to check out this location especially if you don't have store coupons. read more

Super clean, reasonably priced, and well organized! Very friendly staff. So happy about this new Saver's location. It's brand new and worth a visit. Employees are constantly replenishing the racks and re-hanging items out of place. Lots of clothing was priced under $10 and they give you a 20% off coupon if you make a donation of items (please don't ever take this away!!!) Love that they have a bathroom - you just need to ask someone to open it. My only feedback is I hope they add daily half off color tags like other locations. I checked this out the day after the grand opening. They are big, new and clean with lots of clothes and housewares, but oh so pricey - even worse than GW and just a shade below Home Goods. Definitely one of the better thrift stores across Northridge in terms of inventory. Though, as with most savers locations, as well as most thrift stores I've been to recently, stuff is mostly overpriced. Some stuff can slip through the cracks, but good luck finding something worthwhile priced at $5. read more
