It's not a bad thrift store there's this location is actually really large. Yes there are some questionable people and I'm pretty sure they're always will be if your thrift store shopping. They have a pretty cool book section and I picked up some random recipe books. There's several isles of knickknack and kitchen appliance stuff. Then I would say the rest of the store is 70% is clothes! And there's a little corner in the on the right in there for random little furniture stuff. They also have these cool sale promos they do with different colored tags per week that they'll pick which is really really cheap. I have been in this Savers three times, each time, I was greeted like a long lost friend. I liked the selection of knick knacks, baskets and books. The clothes and shoes seem expensive and ho hum. I bought a Farberware electric frying pan in brand new condition which I am happy with. There is a limited amount of furniture for sale, but the price of that furniture is extremely reasonable. The store is airy, and feels spacious and well organized. I will be back. I did not hear of a 30% discount. I will ask about it next time read more

Our store is taking out/remodeling fitting rooms so no way to try on clothes. Their policy is to only give you store credit if you take back clothes that didn't fit since there is no way to try them on. I think because of this situation you should be able to get your money returned and not a store credit. Seems unfair. read more

I am a huge huge thrift shopper and I believe in purchasing previously lived items at the loved price ! Everything here is clean and organized ! I find the best costumes for Halloween and when you donate to them, you get 10-30% off on your hero card ! Which is the best! Great cause and a discount on items that are already super adorable! I'm a frequent customer -- I enjoy shopping here and I'm part of their rewards program. If I hunt for things, I can usually find some good stuff within my budget. Prior to the last month, I'd give this location 4-5 stars. However, lately I've been extremely displeased with the service here. The closing employees are rude (to the point that I've been snapped at to "Hurry the **** up") and tonight was the last straw... I arrived at 8:30 PM to find the front doors locked and new persons barred from entry. When I asked why, I was told that they are "closed" -- well, no? Did you change your hours? I still see dozens of people shopping and I also see the registers open. I understand that you want to get out of there, but what's posted is posted -- I'm in customer service too, and I wouldn't pull this nonsense. After I wasn't allowed to enter, a woman trying to make a return also tried entering -- she stood there long enough for an employee to notice her. Although it was her last opportunity to return the item (given the store's limited return policy) and she'd arrived before posted closing hours, she was told "that's not my problem" by the employee and also turned away. Really?! I'm sorry, but as hard as I try to be understanding of my peers working in retail and the service industry, this is unacceptable (and seems like the product of pure laziness). OK, I hunted this place down because I wanted to see what an OC store would be like in comparison to an "IE" store and I have to say- SO MUCH NICER! Better stuff, at better prices! I am certain the things I bought here would have been twice as expensive if they were selling them in Riverside, which is sad because you are ripping off poorer people. I have seen the prices going up and there are times I say to myself "I could buy a brand new tank top for that much money!" I don't care what the tag says- BUT don't get me wrong- not at this location. Everything was priced either fairly or shockingly well and I hate to say that because I don't want them to change a thing! It's those shockers that will keep people like me returning even though you are an hour drive from my house!! And thanks rich OC people for contributing those lovely items I bought. lol I came to find a small birthday present for someone turning 50 was thinking a stein or goblet joke type gift. I ended up spending over an hour and over $100 and thankfully I had earned a "reward" so I got 20% off my total, whew! Because I didn't NEED anything- it's just your prices were so good and some of the items were SO CUTE I could not walk away! This place surprised me! It was really big and had a huge selection of items! Everything was organized and very clean and the check out was simple, quick, and easy. Their stock rotates often so it's definitely worth a look whenever there's time. I found a nice spice rack here that I just love! There was also a lot of tea sets that looked great. I have been going to savers since I was a little kid. I was excited to see them come back to fountain valley across the street from their old location Mom the less. This is the biggest most well priced thrift in Orange County worth stopping in every week. Always has a half off color which is fun. 10/10 the BEST thrift store I have been to !! There is a great selection and I always find at least five items. The prices are really good, and as a member I get coupons based on their point system. I usually go to the Fountain Valley location and have not been to the Yorba Linda one, but I've heard good things about it. The best days to go are when there is 50% off ENTIRE STORE. Huge store, huge inventory, but clothing is not of the best quality, and overpriced, for the most part. Pretty clean overall, with clean ladies room. No funky, dusty smelling garments as you find in some thrift stores. You can look into a huge room on the side where workers are busily sorting and pricing. There are definitely other drift store better than this one, Salvation army/Goodwill. I see that a lot of their products are over priced for used and new. $15 for a used ikea table sold $25 new, $10 used hammer $4 new , $15 broken computer chair new would be $25, used gym weights .6/lb sold retail price. Also there is tax on everything, so I can only assume this place is a for profit business. On a customer service level, I would give them no stars for lying. I personally asked management if I can test something before purchasing, they responded you have 48 hours to "return it", so I purchased it. Well it didn't work and I came back with receipt and packaging. They said you can only exchange it, no refunds, you have to find something else to buy. I was pretty furious because being told two different things and forced to buy something unnecessary. Save you money for elsewhere, save your donations for elsewhere. I have shopped at Savers in Phoenix three years ago and it was my go to place. Prices, selection, cleanliness were five star. I live in So. Cal and found one near me in Fountain Valley, so I finally went there today. First thing I stepped in the door, the stale, stinky smell. Yuk! Then I'looked at the books. They charge twice what Goodwill charges and they aren't cheap either. The glassware and kitchen supplies, not good shape and top dollar. A scratched frying pan, $6.99. I saw a real cute little musical wooden jewelry box. I opened it an it didn't work. $7.00!!! The cloths. So expensive. $7.00 for the cheapest jeans and not in a condition I would wear them.
