Stopped by to donate today and will absolutely come back again. Laura's House is located right off Baker Street (though the address says Harbor) behind the Mobil gas station. Their website has an outline of what they accept and how you should donate, so I'd recommend checking that out prior. The staff here were all so friendly and made it very easy for me to drop my donations. Most importantly, I love their mission and really feel like my donations are going to a good cause vs. some of the other big box donation centers. I love both donating to and shopping at Laura's House! The shop has great items at great prices. The shop is pretty big for a thrift store! It's organized really well and has a lot of different sections! The money you spend goes to supporting a great cause, so might as well stop in and buy some great stuff while also supporting others :) Everyone I have encountered working at the store has been soooo kind and helpful. They are all so welcoming! Extras - They have a little parking lot and there are typically spots available all the time! After making my donation, I explored their store and discovered it to be a hidden gem. The interior is meticulously organized and tastefully decorated. I've been to their location in lake Forest, but I happened to stumble upon this location as I drove down harbor. This location is much bigger and a little less cluttered than the South county location. I will say that some of their items are priced a bit high and even higher than retail (e.g. name brand sneakers, name brand tops), but it does go to support a good cause. Their standard price goes between $4-6 for tops, skirts, dresses, but any known brands or nice/new with tag items are priced higher (e.g. Lululemon, athleta, Uniqlo), averaging between $14-$28. I appreciate that they had fitting rooms and it felt like an actual boutique clothing store. After browsing through the entire store, I found a couple of cute quality athletic pieces (Athletic and Gap), but you have to filter through a lot of the junk brands to find the good pieces. Only found one good thing to buy, then couldn't pay cash because they did not have pennies... $6.56 they wanted to round up instead of rounding down to $6.60. I was made feel difficult because I didn't not want to round up and also declined to the next dollar for charity. I am all about helping but businesses like this do not benefit the customer in my eyes. I won't be coming back. read more

one of the best thrift stores I've ever been too! it's a little hard to find - the entrance to the parking lot is between a gas station and their building, so keep an eye out! but from there the parking is easy breezy. huge store with an amazing selection of stylish new and vintage pieces. the clothes were very reasonably priced and my bestie and i walked away with a lot of great finds! we especially loved the cool themed dressing rooms - you def have to check them out for yourself!! the staff was very kind and helpful. i will definitely be back next time i get the thrift itch! can't recommend enough read more

One of the most organized resale/thrift shops I've ever been to. Their website says they only accept donations that are new or gently used and you can definitely see it. I love their denim wall, most are less than $20 but if you look closely, it's all name brand. Got myself a pair of Free People and Joe's jeans. Everyone is so friendly and my mom loved their parking lot sale last weekend. read more

i'm a broke wannabe artist and this place is so healing for me. they sell craft supplies for so cheap and beautiful clothes reasonably priced. it has a tasteful edge that makes you feel like you're allowed to be you're flawed self. every time i come in i'm inspired. it's the perfect store for broken down people who find peace in fashion, art, and authenticity. read more

Truly worth checking out. It doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that fool you. It is one of the most interesting and uniquely designed 2nd hand shops I have ever seen. when I went Laura's house for the first time last week I was immediately greeted in a warm manner by an multiple employees who made me feel welcomed and were incredibly friendly. The stores selection of apparel and other trinkets were well presented and very affordably priced! there was an employee, Journey, who was particularly helpful in helping me choose items that I was looking for and they were super friendly throughout our interaction. definitely will be returning Soon! read more
