I absolutely love coming here! I've found just about anything I could need for my new apartment here. Perfectly good working air fryer $19 bucks. A toaster for 5.99. They aren't doing returns on anything but clothing right now because of Covid but for the other items you can test them to make sure they work before you buy. In the back of the store there is a power strip (near the lamps). I think I come here once a week to see if there's anything new because you never know what you might find if you need something and your patient, you can probably get it here. When you donate items they give you a coupon. When you sign up with your phone number they send you coupons to your email! In the other reviews it says the prices can be high but I've found everything to be extremely fair priced and even better with the coupons! The staff is always super friendly and wearing masks. They clean the carts right before you get it. The only thing i don't love is that you can't take the carts out of the store. So if you buy something bigger you have to carry it. read more

This place needs to be visited by management. Whoever decided to leave this place running by the night shift needs a medical evaluation. Evening manager on Sunday evening has no patient or enough time to assist customer what is the whole purpose of having him here?!?!! This guys seems like he was on drugs or something based on his interactions tonight. Secondly, the check out employee has no oversight skills to manage this section of the department. How do you stand there and see someone pay cash for an item and less than 3 min ask the customer if they paid for it ?!?! And proceed to ask for proof. Sir, you were standing there while the payment was being collected by the machine. You have one job and that's to stand there and observe lol. I come to this store weekly and have had a few issues with a worker there. Todays though was rude enough I wanted to let you guys know. We picked up a piece of jewelry and got it at the registers. When we scanned it errored so the pale employee with the curly black hair came over, already mad at us. She had a major attitude, sighed and didn't say hi or anything. She mumbled that we shouldn't have been given this and when I mentioned we came up here and got it like we were told to do her response was that the other employee was supposed to scan it for us. I asked why that means she has to be rude to the customers who don't know store policy. When we walked by the windows on the way out she actually gave us a smirk smile and waved mockingly. I admit it wasn't my best moment but she was so incredibly rude I flipped her off and walked away. I could have handled that better but wow was she rude. read more

I'm very familiar with Savers since living in the Chicago area for over 10 years. I was excited to see they were in California now and have been meaning to stop by for some time. There is plenty of free parking and the employees are very friendly and cheery - great during the holidays! The store is gigantic. It was very well kept and clean. I work in the furniture & home decor Industry so this review is based on the items they carry at this location. This review does not have anything to do with the clothing available at this store. Why the 3 star review? I was surprised that it seemed like only maybe 25% of the store wasn't clothing. Sparse in furniture and even though there was plenty of space for household and home decor items, the shelves seemed empty. The items I found seemed to be picked over and WAAAAYY over priced. $7.99 for a glass pitcher? $4.99 for USED pillar candles? $3.49 for used books? Come on now... Yes, I did notice a few pieces like Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel dishes and Three Hands ginger jars but even then - at $2.99 per plate?! Nah... Again, terrific employees, clean store, not too much in home decor - overall rating - meh. Goodwill seems much better. read more

I've found some gems at this location. Anywhere from an almost brand new MacBook to clothing. This location is always clean and stocked- and so large, it takes me hours to browse (which isn't a bad thing in my eyes). Just remember to bring your own bags for checkout or your own cart to wheel your finds to your car. Their shopping carts do not leave the store. read more

Selection is plenty to go around including how it is spaced out. Simple process in the donations. Pricing can but a bit overboard. This location can do better by either doing deals with amount of items bought in minimum or lower prices by a bit to meet the demand. Another reason I will not ever return here is the OUTRAGEOUS prices here. Come on. This is used stuff. I can find cheaper clothes on the mark down rack at Ross. The employees here are nice & friendly but Savers needs to stop being so cheap and greedy and put a few bodies at the check out line. The more I come here, the more I realize I don't like Savers as much as I used to. The amount of bottom of the barrel clothing I have to sift through (way too much Forever 21, H&M, other low end brands) is more than I prefer. Also, their prices for said brands are outrageous. A lot of the younger generation likes it here (teens), cause they don't go for name brands, they go for whatever they can put together to make a 90's outfit, and Savers IS the best place for that kind of outfit. Once in a blue moon I may find one piece of clothing that is a notable designer, but the amount of time it takes to hunt for it wears me out. read more

*** No dressing rooms available *** Came to look for some dresses. Found about 10 to try on. Price range was $8.99 to 15.99. Kind of high as most were old navy, forever 21 or amazon. You can get old navy new on sale for $8. Dressing rooms are gone. I was told I could purchase items, try them on at home, and exchange them if they didn't fit. NOT A RETURN, an exchange!!! No thanks! Visited Savers to buy a bag and other items. The bag seemed like a great deal, we believed it to be real designer, but at the self-checkout our Savers phone number didn't work. When seeking assistance, we were informed that the bag was priced incorrectly, and they couldn't sell it to us. Went to drop off two bags for donation and the cute kid with the long hair refused to give me coupon because he got upset with me because I wouldn't stop to park behind one car in front of me. There was a car behind me holding up on oncoming traffic so I had to move up. He told me because I didn't donate with him I couldn't get a coupon. How rude!!! lol. So I went inside to pick up my coupons. The girl was so sweet. He also told me he was the manager. If that's true he needs to be demoted. All in all I thought it was funny. Each Savers store has a different "personality" based on the location. This store has many quality items donated by seniors because of the large affluent senior population near the beach. Many items are in better condition than other Savers stores I have visited. I have to take a star off for the removal of the dressing rooms. This seems to have been done as a kind of Covid prevention gesture but comes across as ridiculous for a thrift store selling used clothes. Savers does not wash clothing when they receive it. This chain is one of the best thrift stores on the west coast. The first one I frequented was in San Jose, California. The ones I visit now are in Fountain Valley and Riverside. The quality of merchandise is high. The company takes donations and rewards your generosity with a shopping discount and recognizes your donation as a tax deductible donation towards an epilepsy foundation. Books are the main reason I shop there. The company takes great pains to organize their book sections according to genre. The same attention to detail is given to the other areas in the store. read more

This location is way better than the La Mirada store. It's better stocked and less of a mess. There a lot of staff members hard at work and keeping the place orderly and clean. They also had all the cashier stations working unlike the La Mirada location that had 2. Even though the line stretched across the store, it moved very quickly. A lot of great deals here. Savers is a comfortable easy to maneuver around and easy to find clothing because it goes by sizes. So nicer than Goodwill only thing that's is a letdown is I can't try on the clothes but there's something about returning but gas is too high to take the risk that it won't fit or will be over big in spots. Tip HAVE A DRESS ON OR IN THE CAR. When you go back to the car with your items you just bought slip on your dress take off what you can make sure you have your visors up or you park in the shaded area. So people can't see you try on your clothes and if it doesn't fit just return them right away. It's works for me a few times. Make sure you give yourself enough time I mean extra time read more

I dropped off bags of clothing to be donated outside. An extremely rude worker, male, about 20, dark hair, thin build was rude to me. He was assisting another person so I started getting the bags out of the car. He yelled at me and said to put them in the green bin.I was still unloading my car and wasn't finished. I asked him for a tax write off coupon and he said it's only for the store. I asked him what his name was and he thought for a moment and then said Earl. I called the manager on duty on the phone and she said there was nobody working out there by the name Earl. He was terrible at providing customer service. read more

The stalls are not user friendly. The process is cold and missing the human element of saying hello to the friendly staff. This by far this is the best savers I have around me. I live in Long Beach and go out of my way to make a trip here at least once a pay cycle. The store is massive and just has the best selection of the neighboring savers out there. Even the men's section, in where other thrift stores or even normal stores lack, this one thrives. Great selection of housewares and accessories (purses, hats, shoes ect) they also have great furniture selection. Last time I was here they started to get self check out registers as well so that's exciting. If you don't already, join the rewards club card it's worth it if you come regularly. My one qualm is the staff at this location seems kind of snooty. Still respectful but idk what that's about. They all look trendy and are nice but I just get vibe you feel me? Parking can be tough on busier days like the weekends but worth it. The donation sections is right up front and onto the right of the store versus behind or in the back like other stores. read more

I will start this off by saying I love savers. The customer service has also always been good. The issue I have is with pricing. Quite a few times I will find the same item with 2 different prices. Also i wish they kept cup and plate sets together with ONE price instead of selling all pieces individually. I am a vintage glass collector and love finding cup sets or plate sets but when they are sold individually you almost always are missing a cup or plate. Also, they had a glass previously from goodwill for $1 and they priced it at $3 while forgetting to remove the previous tag. It is always a hit or miss on items. I mainly stop for glass but still love going on days when I just happen to get really lucky! read more
