I used to come here when it was Cheryl's Closet and started going back several months ago and I visit once a month. My first visit at Maven Coco left me pleasantly surprised - the inventory was similar to the way it always was. The racks were still perfectly filled with quality items at decent prices. Items were nicely displayed and it was easy to peruse the racks because they weren't overstocked. I was able to find several pieces to buy that day. Sadly, my next two visits left me a bit disappointed. First the young girl behind the counter does not greet or talk to you at all. She sits looking down at her phone the whole time I'm in there. Yet, the shoe shelf is disheveled, lots of the clothes on the racks are not straightened - buttoned, tied, adjusted on the hangers so that it doesn't fall off when you move the hanger, etc.. The racks are filled almost beyond the ability to move the items easily. The prices are now pretty outrageously steep - even for quality, higher end items. I hope this is just temporary and that my next visit will prove me wrong. read more

I am moving to Orinda was looking around to get a better fill of the town and I stumbled by this well decorated store with cute clothes. I was looking around and the store owner was extremely nice and helpful!! Price fair and items are in good condition as well as quality! This place is untapped gold. I went in today for the first time and half the store is 50% off already low prices until the end of May. Jimmy Choo flats for around $50, for example. Lots of designer brands, lots of dresses, blazers, sweaters, work clothes, party clothes, casual clothes. Lots of shoes organized by size. The woman in charge was really friendly. I got a cute Classiques Entier top for $12! Unbelievable. read more

By far my favorite consignment store. The new owner, Katherine is very helpful and nice. Great selection of clothing, shoes and accessories.

I am not a fan of their new policy that do not return your clothing if they go unsold for over a month or two I believe it is. Not a good policy. read more

I think this place deserves another look. I've been here twice, and both times found the staff to be helpful and kind, and the selection high-quality. I'm a hard-core consignment shopper, and there are goodies to be had here. Yes, it skews a bit old-lady (it's Orinda, after all), but old ladies with lots of disposable income, good taste and time to shop! I'll gladly take the best quality their money can buy at a fraction of the price. I found a cashmere sweater with original tags ($250 new) for about $40, and some great Calvin Klein pants. It's worth a look. The second time I came here, the woman at the counter stayed open for me even though she was about to close for Christmas vacation. read more

Awesome Job! I dig this place! It does not surprise me that some reviewers would prefer to keep it a secret! There are lots of 'NUGGETS' in this shop! I dropped by, un-announced, and had a great experience with Debra (spelling?). I had several items belonging to various ladies in my household, ranging in age from 15 to 80. What a class act Debra is! Not everything was worthy of consideration. I like that she is selective! As a former retail designer buyer/merchandiser, I was really impressed with what this shop has to offer. I apologize to those of you trying to keep this place a secret. There aren't enough people doing it right. These people have a clever concept, a commitment to quality, and great pricing ... I recommended it highly to my wife! .... nuff said! read more

20 year old Anne Taylor loft clothes are common here-and they're not cheap either! the clothes are very old and low quality and indeed the snobbery of the store you can cut with a knife! read more

Haven't been to Cheryl's Closet in years until recent. What a absolutely great selection of high end trendy clothes, shoes and accessories. And for anyone that wants a little better experience with more success than the on line sites to sell things, you should definitely give them a try. Great experience. read more

I always find goodies at Cheryl's. But lately I have a bad experience, the lady who works there seems to be rude. I was treated like I am interrupting her work. Customer service sucks here. If I am spending money in your store you should pay attention to me...at least smile and be friendly. This was the first time nor the second time it's the third time I was treated this way. Defitely I am skipping Cheryl's and telling all my friends in Orinda and the Bay Area. read more

I've been to a few consignment shops and this is a good one IF you get the young lady who has always been helpful and upbeat. The older one does lack CUSTOMER SERVICE skills. Do note that you have to request payment maybe twice, since I'm a distance away I do call first and so far it is worth the drive. read more

Please don't come here, I would prefer to keep it all to myself!! Great little shop, the only complaint I have is the hours, closed on Sundays and closes at 5pm M-F, makes it nearly impossible for me to get there. I have suggested one day a week to stay open later with no luck. Yeah, there are some old lady items, but I have also found so many gems, one of a kind items made in France, Italy, USA. Many items are new or nearly new. I love the shoe rack, I scored a NEW pair of classic Farragamo pumps for $70, and have spied many other amazing deals that sadly were not my size :( I love this store. read more

I have come here for years whenever I am in the Bay Area. It still has great clothing, purses and shoes, but lacking in customer service. The woman working there clearly had better places to be. May just skip it next time I am in town. read more

This store is a neighborhood gem. Emily is terrific and very upbeat. She is young and eager to grow her business. Everything is organized neatly by color and the place is spotless. Worth looking to find a treasure here, or to consign anything that is just sitting in your closet.
