They have parking in back and plenty of spaces. We were there July 14, 2026 around 1pm and it was 97 out so thankfully we found a spot in the shade. Make sure you turn into the lot right before the thrift store. Or you can go around the block and pull in back. Yea!! For the dressing room. It's a miracle that they have dressing rooms especially if your main shopping trip consists of clothing. I love this thrift store if not for anything else. Selection. They have a good selection of walking shorts. I found a nice pair of them that fit perfect for my petite frame. I even tried them on and they were a match for the style I was looking for. They have colored tags that indicate the items that aren't on sale. It seems a bit backwards as usually the tag color that is on sale. The yellow and purple tags were not on sale. The shorts I found were on sale. Reg $8 and I got them for $4. What a deal. The other ones I was looking at the other thrift store was $14 and there was no dressing rooms so I didn't want to risk it. Overall it's a solid thrift store. They have books, kitchen ware, toys and puzzles, shoes, dishes, greeting cards, and my favorite clothing. Ambiance. It's ok. It's a thrift store, nothing special. It was a bit crowed today and it's a small shop so it doesn't take a lot of people for it to be crowed. Check out was a breeze. There wasn't anyone in line so it was quick and they gave me the 50% off discount without me having to remind them. I've been here once before on my parent's recommendation and I'll be back with them on the next visit. I don't know if they have a senior discount as there was no sign and I forgot to ask. read more

Good thrift shop, most prices are decent, some items are on high side (like why are all hats $10 when some are clearly not worth more than $3-5 & tea cup saucers were $1 each...those should be .25 each without the cups) great sales & senior discounts. Great place for shoes. Last time I was there a kid came in asking to leave a business card for his alterations business and they agreed and talked to him a bit, great to see the youth support. read more

Not my favorite place to thrift but also not the worst place. It's a tiny place but it's well organized so it's easy to find the type of clothes or size you are looking for. I've come here a few times and have yet to find anything that catches my eye but I'm also pretty particular. Not to mention it is pretty pricey given the quality of items here. Leftovers really encapsulates a "just alright" thrift store. The staff is always friendly, and the store is fairly well organized. That said, I rarely find treasures here. Many items feel overpriced. For example, I went last week and saw Beanie Babies bagged with eBay printouts, priced at $15 each, when in reality they're worth closer to $2. The clothing selection also skews more toward an older demographic. I'll continue to pop in once or twice a year after a Savers trip, but I definitely wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit this thrift store. read more

My favorite thrift store in Walnut Creek! It's truly a hidden gem! They have a lot of designer clothes and vintage household items, towels, jewelry, shoes and so much more at affordable prices! The older ladies who work in the shop are so sweet! They remind me of my late momma! The ladies are all volunteers! How cool is that! All proceeds benefit nonprofit agencies in the area! The offerings didn't knock our socks off but we were impressed by how tidy and well-organized the store was. We could tell that it's tended to and cared for. It was small but didn't feel cramped even though there were a fair number of customers there. Everything we looked at was clean and decently-priced. No sticky junk like you often find at Goodwill. The ladies on staff were very sweet and friendly so maybe there's been some turnover since the old reviews that described rudeness. Small parking lot in rear. We'll check it out when we're in the area but it's not necessarily a destination on its own. read more

My mother has been going to this shop for years and today she was accused of shop lifting. They wanted to escort her out and made an whole embarrassing scene only to realize that the person they had on camera was not my mother. Every single employee each time has had the worst customer service and treated her with short temper and rudeness but this topped it. Horrible employees. Mediocre items. Disorganized and unwelcoming ambiance. We won't be going back. Go to the Hospice Thrift Shoppe or the Garrett Thrift Shop for a better shopping experience. To The Leftovers Thrift Shop employees, you should be ashamed of yourselves. My mother has Parkinson's and most days stays home; when she does have the strength and energy she finds moments of joy strolling through local thrift shops, finding "hidden treasures". I was a loyal customer to this thrift store I regret ever sharing that it was a great store. On several occasions I have had the displeasure of dealing with old bitter ladies who are judgmental and snarky with bad attitudes towards customers and occasionally I overheard bickering amongst them.it was always swept under the rug because I truly enjoyed this store I even have donated and supported on several occasions. The last straw was when I came with my toddler whom had to really use the restroom right when I was going to purchase my items and although it's not public I wish their hearts were touched knowing that there was not a restroom near. the lady said no we don't have restrooms available and just looked at my daughter with side eye. So I said that's it I left all my items and I will never shop here again. Not kid friendly and not friendly at all. read more

I have been a long time customer of this thrift store. As of today I will never shop there again. I asked for a price on a unmarked picture frame. I was accused of removing the price tag by a volunteer. She then gave me a outrageous price. I mentioned the frame was not the best condition. She said then I should pick a better frame. I explained the size was the correct size for the picture I was framing. I am not a dishonest person. She was so rude and I am highly insulted. Will never recommend or shop there. I always pass by this store when working, so I finally went in to see what they have. It's a quaint looking shop so I thought there might be some goodies within. However, upon opening the front door, I was immediately hit with an overwhelming olfactory sensation that I can only describe as the stench of decay. I formerly worked in hospice, and the patients I cared for tended to have a foul odor emanating from their mouths, which always seemed to cling to their clothes and all surfaces within their vicinity. This was usually the case with patients who had feeding tubes, and thus did not use their mouths for anything but talking. I was in charge of activities, so I have no idea what kind, if any hygiene care they received. Anyway, suffice to say, the store smells of the withering mouths of hospice patients. This was unsettling to me, but tolerable. I found a lot of weathered, but good condition dress clothes. The prices were extremely reasonable, unfair to the vendor, you could even say. I mean, a dinnercoat for $3? What a steal. The dress shoes were a bit too far gone for my liking. They were intact but the leather on half of them were very dull. One pair was perfectly shiny, but at $30, I'd rather just get a new pair from Ross or something like that. I was really enjoying browsing their wares until my experience was interrupted by a very busybody employee. She was a caucasian woman of about 45-50 years of age. She struck up conversation with a slightly rude question; she asked if I was sure the garment I was holding would fit. I replied that I wasn't sure, as I was still trying to locate the tag. She sort of hovered around me, eyeing me up and down like I was a vagrant of some kind, asking probing questions and making snide, little comments the whole time. Mind you, I was dressed in a longsleeve button-down and trousers. Nothing about me was strange or suspicious, but I felt as if she was looking over my shoulder the whole rest of my time in the store. She asked me where I'm from, and said that they do not do handouts or discounts. I did not inquire about any of those things. I got the sense that she was profiling me, and that's not something that I have experienced before, even though I've worn T-shirts and shorts to Morton's and House of Prime Rib multiple times. I have never felt so judged and unwelcomed as I did when I visited Leftovers. That employee should really mind her own business and leave the customers in peace. I cannot reccomend that you go to this thrift store as long as that woman's attitude stays the same. read more

A cute little shop which has fabulous sales. They have a bag sale every once and while. Everything you can fit in the bag is ten dollars. There have huge amounts of shoes which line the outside walls and at least one item of every age group style. The dressing rooms are a bit weird, one is adjoining to a bathroom so if there's someone in there and you go to change...oops. They also have some interesting jewlery, not ever in style but interesting nonetheless. Leftovers doesn't take credit cards, only cash or check so keep this in mind before shopping there. read more

This small shop has so much! It's all very nicely arranged and inviting. All the volunteers are busy because there are several customers looking over the VERY nice clothing. I just dropped off a lot of my MIL's nicer pieces of clothing, and they were very sweet to me. I think I'll be back to buy the champagne flutes I saw... even though I own about 2 dozen already! Leftovers - aptly named. I read all of the reviews prior to coming here (Yelp is how I found out the store existed), and I chuckled after reading one from a reviewer (now located in the "hidden" reviews) who said she witnessed a volunteer taking nice items out to her car. The reviewer added that another volunteer mentioned to her that the volunteers get the good stuff. Anyway, I mention this because when I went to Leftovers today for the first time, I witnessed a similar situation. There is a room near the clothing section where the donations are processed. The ladies were giddy over some of the things that had come in and were pulling things off to the side. One of the volunteers grabbed another one who had walked in and showed her a beautiful designer dress and mentioned how nice it will be to wear it. Do they realize how tacky this appears to the customers? Perhaps it is standard operating procedures to let volunteers have their pick of things that come in, but do they have to flaunt it? Do they pay for these items? How do they price an item they are planning on buying? Now, about the actual store: While many of the clothing pieces were dated, I did come across items from Banana Republic and Ann Taylor. There was a pretty good selection of shoes in several parts of the store. It is hit or miss. You'll just have to go through the items and hope you wear a different size than the volunteers. Many of the items, particularly the pants, were located in the wrong size sections. The prices are fair. The store is well organized and they have two fitting rooms. When I went, shoes were 50% off. No awful thrift store smell. They do not take checks, and if you plan on using a debit/credit card, your purchase must total at least $10. There is a private lot to park in behind the store. I didn't see anything that was spectacular and you probably shouldn't expect to either as the items apparently are not only the donators' leftovers, but the volunteers' leftovers as well. read more

i like coming here because the quality is pretty good and their prices are even better. I have bought tons of stuff here...not just clothes, but tablecloths, decorative stuff etc. I shop lots of consignment and thrift places and thank goodness WC has so many! I enjoy that they don't hound you here and you can walk around, poke around, peak around or what not. As I arrived a well-dressed worker was loading some especially nice items into her fancy car. Another worker greeted me by bragging that the staff always buys the best things as soon as they arrive! There's no way I would purchase anything from an establishment that claims to be a charity whose management has that kind of ethics. read more

The women who work at this shop are the definition of rude. When bringing in donations there is no thank you, zero effort in being helpful and act as though you are an unwelcome intrusion on their day. I will never set foot in this shop again. My wife and I read the prior reviews and we do not understand how the prior reviewers can describe a thrift store as "hit or miss" All thrift stores are hit or miss! The store and staff have no control over what is donated. The poor reviews show how shallow some people are. My wife will only buy designer labels and is always able to find a new to slightly used items to purchase. It is too bad that donations aren't made in every conceivable size to please everybody, but this is a thrift store, if you want perfection go to Nordstrom's. We have always found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, not and easy task when dealing with the public all day long! This place is run on donations by an all volunteer staff that supports the Contra Costa Crisis Center! What is there to complain about? read more

This great thrift store moved to Olympic Blvd about two years ago. I think the caliber of the donations has improved greatly since then. My friends and I have found lots of designer clothes, vintage and late model kitchenware, art and knick knacks galore. The volunteers are friendly and very helpful. As with all thrift stores, one doesn't always find the desired object on the first visit. Perseverance is the key to successful thrifting. This place bears watching. read more
