I've been coming to Tallahassee 4-5 times per year for 10 years. I don't know when Savour opened, but wow have I been missing out. Walked out of the Doubletree and turned towards one of my usual spots and spotted Savour. Looked in the window and saw a bar and sat down. Drew introduced himself and shook my hand, while introducing me to Victor at the bar. Nice ambiance, cool music playing and even the noise from the other diners blended. Old Fashion was perfect, along with a Caesar salad. The Ribeye was well marbled but not too fatty. Great glass of Pinot and conversation. Can't wait to go back! read more

First off- the service was impeccable. The best/most accommodating service I've ever received at a restaurant, seriously! They typically offer parties 2-6 for reservations and they were willing to accommodate our party of 8. Our server was incredibly sweet and funny! They customized my mocktail based on flavors I requested (it was delish!) and finally they brought back a rotating menu item for the graduating girl in our party. The food was yummy! Totally recommend the Brussels sprouts. Amazing bread/butter! I The aesthetic is SO CUTE! The bathrooms are stocked with hygiene products. Had such a wonderful experience with my family here on my graduation weekend. The owner gave me a complimentary glass of wine, as she said they do for all graduates which is so sweet. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious & cooked perfectly. The sticky beef tips were also delicious, they were slightly crispy with a slightly sweet orange-type of sauce. Additionally, our waitress Jessie was fantastic. Overall, such a great experience & I highly recommend for anyone wanting to eat a nice dinner in Tallahassee. read more

I Love Savour. Great ambience, great food, and best of all, a great bartender, Victor. They make you feel so welcome when you walk in the door and nothing disappoints. First, there's Victor. 5 stars for him. Creative drinks, knowledgeable, great wit and humor. He can whip up something for you that's delectable based on what your taste buds are craving at the moment. The food is always top notch and they don't mind modifying the menu to please you. I have a tick-borne disease and cannot eat mammal meats. No problem for Savour. The owner is a chef as well so he comes up with great creations in collaboration with his chef. The ambiance is what you need it to be. Romantic? Yep, you have it. Fun? Yep, you have it. Business meeting? Yep, you can do it there. Several "private" booth spaces are an extra nice touch for your evening. If nothing else, stop by and let Victor whip you up a signature cocktail. We had an amazing dinner at Savour last night! My husband and I were in town for our son's orientation at FSU and we wanted to have a nice dining experience while we were here. Savour was the perfect choice! It is so lovely inside and the decor is beautiful. Danny was our server and he was great! Great recommendations and the perfect amount of attention. Wine and cocktail selection was also nice. We started with the burrata charcuterie special. It was a nice size with prosciutto and fried heirloom tomatoes. So good! Next we had salads. My husband had the wedge but I had the spring salad with goat cheese, pine nuts, tomatoes and a lemony vinaigrette that was amazing! For our entrees my husband had the pork chop and I had scallops. Both very good but the pork chop was extra special and I'm not usually a huge fan. Even though we were so stuffed, we ordered the blueberry bread pudding for a bite of something sweet to end our night. Also so good! Highly recommend Savour! Went recently for a second visit. It's a touch pricey in my opinion but does offer a unique experience. It is stuffy yet comfortable and fun. Wouldn't seem to be a successful combo but it works, there. The service has been good all three visits. The bar area is casual and was lively when we have been there while the main dining area was quiet and more stately. It's what you make of it but I would not shy away and intend on making a 4th visit in a few weeks time. read more

Our anniversary! We chose to celebrate 23 yrs married here! It was amazing! I booked our reservation online & had added it was for our anniversary. I say this b/c at another in-town restaurant when I marked special occasion it wasn't acknowledged so I wasn't sure what to expect. Not only did Kim (owner) greet us but acknowledged we were early (I had called thinking we might be a few minutes late) & wished us a happy anniversary! She told us we would also receive each a glass of champagne! How touching, even if my husband didn't partake (not a wine/champagne fan) tho he was offered a beer in place. And our table was set with a sweet frame again acknowledging our special occasion. The champagne flute was beautiful! We started dinner with the Honey & Bourbon burnt ends, my hubby got the signature drink of the month (I forgot the name) then I ordered the Phoenix. For our entrees I ordered the Miso-glazed Redfish served over 'dirty' fried rice while hubby ordered the Southwest Rubbed Bistro Tender! I loved my fish but wasn't as impressed with the rice & have no idea where the bok choy was. The corn & sweet potato fries with the Tender were amazing so was the Tender - cooked perfectly! For desert my husband ordered the adult key lime (which was served with a 'taste' of Moscato to counter the tartness of the lime while I let our server (who's name I forgot but she was phenomenal) chose the Peanut Butter Whiskey & Banana Crème Brûlée for me. I also chose an espresso & combined it with cream & a shot of peanut butter whiskey to accompany my dessert. I've been visiting Tallahassee for years. My daughter is an FSU student. We've tried many restaurants in the city many are mediocre at best. However, Savour is absolutely delicious and a pure delight. The food was incredibly delicious & the service was top notch. We met the owner he was so friendly and took the time to get to know us. It's been a long time we had an owner make us feel special when we are ordinary people. He made us feel like we were celebrities. I would highly recommend Savour to anyone looking for a fine meal and experience. This restaurant is a GEM! I know if this restaurant was in a big city like Miami it would be booked for months. I want to start by saying this will be somewhat of an unorthodox review. I am a student at FSU, and unfortunately, I was one of many students quarantined by police near the shooting on campus. I remember the panic, the running, the fear in people's faces that I hadn't ever seen before, and for the past couple of days, I've been struggling with the aftermath of it all. My parents had already made reservations to come here for our Easter dinner before the shooting, and even though I've been struggling with crowded areas, I wanted to go and eat good food. I've always greatly appreciated food, and tonight was the most I've appreciated it in a while. I ordered the panko seared gulf catch of the day, which, for my visit, was red fish. The moment I took a bite, it was the only thing I could think about. For a moment, I wasn't afraid; I was happy, completely enamoured of the dish. The snapper was perfectly fried, the saffron rice was cooked to perfection, and the crawfish-andouille cream sauce (the star of the dish, in my opinion) was so phenomenally crafted that I wanted to pick up the plate and lick it clean had manners not existed. I already extended my gratitude to the chef through our waiter, David (who was lovely), but I didn't think it truly showed how I felt. As crazy as it sounds, eating that dish was so comforting in ways I don't think I can express fully, and for that, I thank you. To round off the review, the wait staff was amazing. As I already said earlier, our waiter, David, was exceptional. I could tell by how he talked about the different plates on the menu that he truly loved what he was presenting us. The ambiance was delightful and added to the overall experience of the dinner. I don't think it's talked about much, but the lighting was perfect. Light enough so you weren't struggling to read the menu and see your food, but dark enough to get that cozy feeling when you sat and waited for your food. Finally, I just wanted to talk about the picture at the front of the restaurant, or lack thereof. I noticed it immediately: a frame with nothing but the white wall behind it. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I liked it. I don't know why, but I did. If you are on the edge about coming here, did you even read anything I wrote prior? All jokes aside, I highly recommend Savour if you are looking for a nice dinner from a place that truly puts the work into their food. Worth every cent and more. Thank you. read more

Decided to eat at Savour while on a business trip to Tallahassee. And I'm glad that I made the right choice! I ate at the bar, and the atmosphere was definitely business casual. I could seee holding many business meetings here, and there seemed to be a bit of a politics flavor in the air. Anyway, I ordered tHe Lobster Spring Rolls to start and they were delicious! For my entree, I ordered the Duck Special. And it was special! So succulent and delicious! The chef brought it out, and he even came back to see how it was. What service!!!! Great food, rude staff. The hostess refused to sit our party of 5 at a booth even though we had reservations. If you're just going here on a date night the food is excellent, but if you want staff that will do a good job waiting on you look elsewhere. Sad to spend $500 on dinner/drinks and be forced to sit someone you don't like. Try the huntsman instead. We won't be back. read more

Everything about this dining experience was perfection. Let me start off by saying the first person you see when you walk into the restaurant is the owner. I found that so charming and personal! For a Thursday night at 8 they were pretty busy, but thankfully the owner found us a high top in the bar area. Victor and the other bartender were wonderful and took good care of us. The décor was so romantic and cozy, the chandeliers were just beautiful. Definitely a good first impression, and it only got better from there. To start we got their burnt ends. I had read the menu wrong and thought they were cold, so I was a little put off by that, but thankfully Victor clarified that they were not and they came highly recommended by him. They came in a mini iron skillet with some ciabatta bread. My only complain is I wish it came with just a tiny bit more because the juices were too good to not soap up with the bread. The burnt ends were so flavorful and tender, and I am not usually a fan of mushrooms, but they just melted in your mouth. For entrees we got the scallop entrée special and the sous vide flank steak. The scallops came on a bed of farro, and while it was delicious it was not as good as my flank steak. The scallop I did try melted in my mouth and the farro was cooked perfectly. At times farro can be a little too grainy and hard, but I really enjoyed how the farro was cooked and the brown butter sauce. When ordering my steak I was not asked a temperature so I was a little worried on how it would be prepared, but it was cooked to perfection. To order that any other way would have been sacrilegious. The steak was topped with cojita cheese and chimichurri, and it came with cream of corn and sweet potato fries. I would have loved it with some asparagus or some other green, but regardless it was delicious. Lastly, for dessert we got the peanut butter whiskey crème brûlée with brûléed bananas. I am always apprehensive about ordering crème brûlée anywhere because it is my absolute favorite dessert, but this one exceed my expectations. The sugar was caramelized perfectly and the texture of the custard was spot on. The attention to detail in this restaurant is impeccable, you can tell how much thought went into everything, down to the women's bathroom. The bathroom had wrinkle release spray, toothpicks, hairspray, etc. They did not leave anything unaccounted for. You get what you pay for at Savour. read more

My best friends and I had a divine dining experience at Savour last Saturday night! I've had Savour on my Yelp TLH bucketlist since moving here, and I am so glad that I can finally check this box - I only hope to have the opportunity to check it more than once! We used Open Table to make a same-day reservation and when we our evening itinerary was hindered by factors somewhat outside of our control, we were easily able to use the Open Table website to push our reservation back more than once -- and the hostess at Savour did not mind at all, which we learned upon arrival. I did have trouble getting in touch with the restaurant, as I attempted to call 3 different times to try and manually change our reservation, but I just got an answering machine - so I would just utilize Open Table and trust it. I also do not know how necessary a reservation is, as they were moderately busy but definitely not running a wait by the time we arrived. The wait staff was very diligent and we loved that the owner himself came to our table to check and see how everything was, prior to our paying the bill. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was well priced, not extraordinarily marked up like at many high end eateries. We skipped starters, aside from sharing a Caesar salad, and went straight for entrees. I ordered the chef's special which was a very tender Duck breast served atop sweet mashed potatoes and green beans. All I can say is that it was as tasty as the picture reflects. I just hope that it hits the menu in a more permanent fashion so that others can enjoy it! One of my friends ordered a filet and I *think* the other ordered pork. They seemed to enjoy their entrees as well, but I was too delightfully distracted to recall their details. The most unique feature of Savour is the restaurant ambiance. You can tell that a LOT of thought, energy and creativity went into the design and decor of the interior. It really is very "girly" as my colleague put it, but it is also very romantic, the perfect place for a date night or a girls night out - or even an appropriate venue for hosting a business dinner, as some execs were dining alongside us. My overall experience was memorable and I cannot wait to visit Savour again. I imagine Savour will become even more popular if the nearby Doubletree ever gets their rooftop ish together (that is where we tried to go, prior to our dinner at Savour). Bon appetit! read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while as one of the restaurants I want to try in Tallahassee. I planned a romantic night with my boyfriend and this restaurant was a perfect ending to the night. I made reservations for a Friday at 9:15pm about 4 days prior. We arrived a few minutes late but we were still seated promptly. The host was super nice and made us feel welcomed. He sat us and I waiter came about 5 minutes after. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and answered all of our questions in grave detail. Thanks to him I think we chose the best items on the menu! I got the charbroiled filet mignon (medium) and it was literally love at first bite! The absolute BEST steak I've had. So tender and seasoned. I enjoyed the charbroiled taste. And the asparagus were perfect. Babe for the roasted herb chicken and it was very tender, literally falling apart. His favorite part was the mash potatoes. They had a homemade taste to them. And the Truffled Pan Jus gave it the perfect flavor. The cocktails were superhero themed and they were not watered down. We recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting fine dining at an affordable price. read more

A Must in Tallahassee! Totally Lovely Place to Dine! Downtown amongst the oak trees that are elegantly lite is Savour. As you enter you are greeted by well dressed and very polite staff. The bar area is beautiful! Have a cocktail while your table is prepared. Mine was a passion fruit martini made to perfection. Once seated with a very nice wine list and menu the fine dining began We began with the whipped feta cheese appetizer Totally delicious with the jam and pita and feta. We also had the Marconi and cheese it was perfect Al dente My entree was the grouper which was cooked to perfection. My husband is a vegetarian he enjoyed the grits and greens a most wonderful entree. My daughter enjoyed the grouper as well. The wine was perfectly paired with the meal, Silver Oak, Alexander Valley, CA. As it was my husbands birthday he was treated to the peanut butter ganache pie which was fabulous! We all three enjoyed it. For a night out, fine dining experience I highly recommend Savour. read more

Joined friends for dinner to try Savour for the first time. We had reserved a table using Open Table and arrived on time. We were greeted warmly at the door by the owners, which was a nice touch. They were warm and welcoming and they took is to our table. The decor is beautiful. There is a feel of intimacy there that makes for a perfect date night, but not so done up that you can't enjoy a meal with friends. Service was spot on that night. I found our server to be prompt and responsive. As for food, we enjoyed everything. We started with a charcuterie board and a few cocktails. My wife and I ordered the seafood bouillabaisse and thought it had great flavor. Our friends ordered the grouper and the steak and the grouper was the star of the table. For dessert we tried the creme brûlée and the avocado chocolate cake. I'm not a sweets guy, but both were really good. The only downside that night was the coffee. We found the house drip coffee to be a bit lacking, but I understand they have a pour-over option that we will try next time. If you have yet to try this gem, don't hesitate. The 1st round came out and it was completely burnt and the burnt taste masked all other flavors. The 2nd attempt to fix the issue came out and it too was burnt! They said they used brown sugar.... Came here with a coworker while in town for a work trip. We happened to get there during happy hour where they offered all drinks at half price! Great deal! I ordered my typical old fashioned and it didn't disappoint. For the entree I decided to go with the blackened grouper. The fish was cooked perfectly and was super flavorful. The rice paired really well and had a slight curry flavor that I really enjoyed. Service was excellent and the food came out much faster than I would have expected! I will definitely return if I find myself here in Tallahassee again some time in the future! It is 4.5 stars to my opinion. Not yet 5 stars. The restaurant just open 3 months ago. Next to Double Tree Hotel at Park Avenue. It naturally to go there for food if you stay at this hotel. Parking can be challenge but they have valet. Parking on the street is free after 6pm. The hostess greet me well with a smile. It is a good start. The restaurant classified as American in Yelp page. But I think most of their dish is close to French cuisine. I started with the Escargot Pot Pie. The escargots sautéed with sauce and put into a bakery item. This dish is delicious. I found at least 5 escargots inside. It also has some cracking like chip item on the side. Interesting dish. My main dish is the Gulf Coast Bouillabaisse. This dish suppose to have grouper cheek and other seafood. But the night I visited do not have grouper cheek. They offer the sea scallops. The entire dish has 5 pieces big count shrimps and 5 baby clams and 3 scallops. The saffron soup base is excellent with enough spicy but great to have. Overall my experience is good. Price is good. Amazing evening! We enjoyed an amazing evening at Savour! From the first warm welcome from co-owner Kim McCleod to the firm farewell handshake from her husband/co-owner, Drew, the dining experience at Savour was outstanding. Once our servers understood that we wanted to "savor" every dish before enjoying the next, we were served just the way we like it. The French champagne was a bargain at $30, and compared to California prices (we're from L.A.), each gourmet dish was unique, tasty and affordable for the quality Savour offered. We especially recommend the beef tips and the red fish was delicious. A trip to Tallassee will always include dinner at Savour as far as we are concerned! read more

Love this place. They have the best steak in Tallahassee, hands down. They cooked it to perfection and have great, high quality cuts. Their appetizers and seafood are also delicious and fresh. Wonderful service, as well. Tip: Do NOT park in the hotel parking lot or you will pay for overnight parking. Additionally, due to the reasons listed above, some of Tallahassee's snootiest 'peeps' frequent this place but the servers do a great job with balancing everything. Just laugh at their actual insignificance and enjoy yourself when they act inappropriately. read more
