Yummy new cocktail menu!
Christy C.

My sorority sisters and I had a reunion at FSU last weekend and spent lots of time at this restaurant. We also enjoyed the hotel and had a room block. Kaylee worked in the restaurant and was spectacular, she put up with lots of mid-40's ladies who wanted to reminisce together. The food is really good and the drinks are fantastic. Cauliflower app is huge, spicy and creamy. Just yum. Happy hour is 4-6 pm which we took full advantage of. There were several other staff members who really helped us. Always with a smile especially when we told them why we were in town. On Saturday night when it was 10:15 pm and we realized they had closed, they were so lovely and kind to let us wrap things up without rushing. Can't wait to visit you all again!

Super convenient since it was in our hotel, and they have a great happy hour! Food was just average and a bit overpriced in my opinion, but the drinks were great.

We were visiting Tallahassee, due to celebrate our 20 wedding anniversary, and we found this restaurant, and the election was PERFECT!!!! The food, the beverages, the attention....was 5 stars service. Our waiter Davies.....was so kind, and an excellent host. Recommended at 100%!!!

Great food & drinks. Define rly recommend checking the okie out even if your aren't staying at the hotel. Very sanitary!!

We didn't eat, just witnessed the mastery of the mixologist. Some really special creative drinks that do pack the place at happy hour!

Tallahassee is no stranger to fried chicken joints, and Slim Chickens slides right into that…read morecrowded lineup with ease. While it may not reinvent the wheel, it delivers on what matters: tasty chicken, fast service, and a decent overall value--at least as far as today's quick-serve prices go. I grabbed the kids meal (yep, no shame), which came with 2 tenders, fries, and a drink for about $6-$7. Surprisingly, it was just the right amount of food, especially given how pricey fast food is getting lately. The chicken had a satisfying batter--crispy but not greasy--and their Cajun ranch sauce was a standout. Fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, but they did the job. The staff were kind and efficient, staying low-key even while the place was packed. The dining area was busy, but the drive-thru was clearly the main event. If you're looking for a quieter experience, dining in might actually be your better bet. Despite the name "Slim Chickens," don't come here expecting a bunch of healthy options--it's more in the Zaxby's, Guthrie's, or Chick-fil-A realm: comforting, fried, and familiar. All in all, it's another solid option for fried chicken in a town that definitely doesn't need another, but I'm not complaining. Just hoping my wallet can keep up if I keep eating out like this.

Awesome Lunch For…read more$11.49 I had a very delicious lunch from Slim Chickens #2 located at 2329 Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee. I've been driving by this restaurant for the last 6 months, but today I decided to give them a try for lunch and I'm glad I did. The parking lot was cleaned with ample parking and the outside of the building, including the outdoor dining area, was very clean. The beautiful well-designed lobby, including the front counter and self-serve fountain drink area, was also clean. Not a sports bar, but there's several TVs positioned in the lobby for entertainment while dining enjoying your meal. Customer service was awesome and placing my order was a breeze with a well-positioned menu that was easy to read and understand. The wait time to receive my order was about 3 - 5 minutes. I ordered the new 10 Piece Tender Bites Meal with fries, Texas toast, and a drink served with my choice of two house dipping sauces: barbeque sauce and honey mustard sauce. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection, and served hot. The chicken, which was large for bites was tender, moist, juicy and had great flavor. The toast and fries were also hot and very good. I'm used to dining at Chick fil A when I want nuggets or tenders, but I may have a found my new dining option while working in Tallahassee.

Gave this place a try during the college football kickoff weekend...Tex vs Ohio. This place is…read morelocated in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. This place is pretty large inside. There are lots of pool tables; some are coin-op and others you rent. Depending on which table you're playing at, you might not be close to a TV monitor. There are a number of big screens inside, but nearly enough that they should be calling themselves a sports bar in my opinion. The bar is OK and the staff were pleasent enough. I tried their deep friend mushrooms. They were actually pretty good! But heads up. This place charges a mandatory gratuity of 18% on all orders with the exception of visitors coming in early M-Th. Add that on top of already high prices and you're in pretty deep. Advice: in Florida (and most states), paying mandatory gratuity charges are not actually required (or legal) and they cannot force you to pay it. If you're dissatisfied with your service, you can line out the mandatory gratuity and put in whatever you feel is appropriate. However, I've also heard that it may be legal as long as it is posted...which it was. I would have rated another star higher had it not been for the mandatory gratuity...which is the highest I've ever run into in my travels. As a single traveler, I don't feel the overall price was reasonable. So I won't be back.

Customer beware. This restaurant did an unauthorized charge to my daughter's credit card. When my…read moredaughter spoke with the owner he admitted they do charge cards additional money without the card owner's signature or permission. Searching Google Reviews I found customers who complained of the same. My daughter, who was visiting Tallahassee, went to eat at Zingales with her sister and cousin. Two women who were present at a paint with a twist event they had just attended asked if they could accompany them to the restaurant. The waiter was aware there would be 3 separate checks. My daughter and her sister had their item on 1 receipt. My daughter's cousin had her receipt and the 2 women shared 1 receipt. My daughter used her credit card to pay her bill which was $17. Her signature on the receipt should've ended the transaction between my daughter and Zingales. She later learned her card was charged $127 because the 2 women they had just met left out without paying their bill. She was told by the owner of Zingales this is their policy to charge any card used at the table even when they are not authorized to do so. Even if each party at a table has separate receipts. This is a blatant disregard for the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. A federal law which says a business Cannot take more money than what is authorized. In his response to my review the owner takes no responsibility for his illegal act. Instead he tries to justify it by fabricating a false narrative to sully my daughter's character. The facts are my daughter was visiting Tallahassee. Neither she, her sister or her cousin had any contact or knowledge of these 2 women before meeting them a short time before at a paint with a twist event. The meals at the table WERE NOT SHARED. The 2 women ordered shots for the table which you applied to their bill.
