Sawaed and his crew did a great job in installing beautiful Quartz countertop and backsplash in our kitchen. He came to our home and measured and made suggestions that worked out well. He suggested that we come to his shop before the slab was cut to make sure that we were happy with the how the design of the slab flowed after installation. He initially counseled us against using a second slab for the backsplash because of the expense. After he saw we were leaning that way he cut the price on the second slab. Finally he advised us on where to buy a new sink and faucet at a discount. On both the demo and installation his crew was professional, courteous and did a nice job of clean up. I generally do not give five stars to anyone but Sawaed and his team earned it. Sawaed is a very honest, down to earth, talented stone installer. He worked with our designer to make a beautiful kitchen and bath countertop and waterfall for us at a reasonable price. The project was not an easy one by anyone's standards. But Sawaed was able to plough through and created a way to do it. I can say that when I saw it completed, I was so excited and thrilled with the results. His team is careful and considerate, leaving the rooms he worked in neat and clean. Sawaed is a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him highly. read more

The facts: - Diego from The Kitchen Store recommended Sawaed Inc to install a quartz counter in my kitchen. - Sawaed came out promptly to survey the kitchen and go over the plan with me. - I paid 50% up front for the work to be done. - Scheduling with Sawaed was difficult, but he got a team out to do the demolition on my counter on a Wednesday, telling me that the installation would happen on Saturday or Tuesday the next week. - The demo crew was very nice, but did not put up any plastic, so they made a huge dust mess all over my house. I let Sawaed know and barely got a sorry out of him. - After the demo, Sawaed wanted to change the install from Tuesday to Wednesday. I had meetings planned on Wednesday and said I could not, but he said it had to be Wednesday, So I adjusted my schedule to accommodate. The team was to arrive at 11AM on Wednesday. - I called more than 50 times for updates and reached Sawaed twice. Each time I was told that the team was on their way. Clearly they were not. They did not show up until 6PM! I live in a condo and work is not supposed to be done in the evenings out of respect for other tenants. Sawaed knew this. He had been onsite with me and gone over the details. - the crew finally showed up with 2 pieces of quartz that they wanted to install instead of the single slab that was agreed upon. - I had to turn them away, since the whole point of this remodel was to have a clean looking new counter top. - Sawaed gave me attitude and raised his voice on the phone and came up with lies about our arrangement. He is completely unprofessional. - Since then it has taken several days to get my sink back from Sawaed, and I waited over another week for a refund. He did end up returning the money for not doing the work. Perhaps some of the time Sawaed gets things right. In our case he did not, and instead of being professional and sorting things out reasonably, he got emotional and was difficult to work with. I cannot recommend working with a business like that. read more

After contacting two other companies to install our quartz countertops, and not having them follow up with a quote, my husband contacted The Kitchen Store in Culver City. They recommended Sawaed. Right away, the Sawaed contacted us and gave us a quote. He came to the house within a few days to measure and set a date to have the quartz installed two weeks later. Yesterday, my husband received a call saying that they had an opening for today. They were prompt, demonstrated integrity in their work, and were very skilled. Now, we have counters one week earlier than expected and the price was more than fair for competent service . Please do not hesitate to contact Sawaed. He has much experience with quartz, but also dekton, marble, and other high quality stone. One more thing, Sawaed is a cat lover. He was very sweet to my two kitties! read more

Short review: RUN. Long review: Sawaed is charming and makes you think he's capable and not a complete liar. This is wrong as I learned the hard way. We did very basic countertop and backsplash, some odds and ends for his handy man, and a new bathroom floor. He said "one week"... it's been more than 4 weeks and it's still not 100% done. I won't bore you with the MANY issues we had, his one job is to manage the customer. Manage my expectations and make me believe that he's not screwing me over. He wasn't able to do this. Ever. The problem as I see it is he doesn't visit the sites, unless he's coming to collect a check! He's very good at that. He has no idea otherwise what's happening at your home. How behind things are. How many things are done by mistake. He doesn't text or email very well and after I realized the wheels were off it was too late we were in too deep. We wanted to fire him every day. He doesn't know how to listen to you. He waits to speak and always with the "my friend". I was not interested in being his friend. I wanted him to treat me as a customer. I would never recommend this person to anyone I care about. There must be other better options. He's also very expensive. Do not give him all the money he asks for upfront. You will need something to bargain with once he starts putting you off. I wish I did this a different way but I learned my lesson hard. I hope this helps someone avoid my mistake and disappointment. We recently upgraded our bathroom and fell in love with a Cambria quartz pattern, but we only needed enough for a vanity. We searched all over SoCal for a "remnant," so we wouldn't have to purchase a slab. The Kitchen Store recommended Sawaed and gave us his card. We visited his store and he had a piece the perfect size we needed! He and his son were very gracious and even offered us a cold drink. When the vanity was ready, they came, measured, and the next day we had our countertop! It is perfect and beautiful--and the price was reasonable. We highly recommend him! read more

He sourced our materials, installed our kitchen counters and backsplash and fireplace surround, and did it all at 2/3 the cost of my main contractor and with a extra-fast turn around time. He was proactive, transparent, fair, and worked to make costly adjustments on the fly for free when others would have used the opportunity to tack on added fees. A+++++. Use this man and his team. The worst experience ever. I paid the whole job upfront because The Kitchen Store recommended him - and I was friends with them. Saweed's company sure knew how to find me but when I needed them they were nowhere to ever return a single phone call. The owner Sawaed Made me come meet with him and stood in FRONT OF ME (along with the owner of the Kitchen Store and the cabinet company) while I said DO NOT TOUCH THE ANTIQUE TILES ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE KITCHEN. Next time I returned to the home they cut the antique tiles, mounted a hideous splash because they were absolutely brainless, left me with cracked tiles around the stove (which was why I told them NOT to do a splash and totally broke my heart (as it was my family home and my family has all passed away.) NEVER give a contractor more than they are legally due and don't hire people like that who don't care. I thought about taking them to court but decided it would just be too difficult to come into town and face someone who could care less about my requests. They suck. They never faced me or tried to apologize or anything. The underside of the mounting is not level and I don't know if its the cabinet guys fault or his. And the dirt that was left - the tenants had to PAY for an outside cleaning agency to clean up after them. read more

My kitchen countertops are gorgeous thanks to Sawaed and his crew. I was referred by Ann at the Kitchen Store and yet again, she was right! I went to the shop and Sawaed gave me a tour to see his team in action cutting and fabricating the stone. Later, at our house, it was fun to watch them measure and create the templates for our countertops. He moved so quickly that I thought he'd have to come back to confirm, but he is an expert and the countertops were perfect. We had a small window of time to get the countertops done so the rest of the kitchen could be completed and he found a way to make it work for us and delivered even earlier than promised. I hired Sawaed to do all the fabrication for my home four years ago. Everything went smooth and great. Kitchen, bathrooms, bar etc. I hired him this year to do one fireplace. He was eager for the job and the deposit. Easy right? Wrong. Since December he has been dodging me and my phone calls and texts. Finally after much calling he showed up in January to do one part of the work. Promised me the rest would be complete within one week. It is now mid February and he hasn't come back. He rarely responds to my calls and texts. Has given me three appointments where he has "promised" to come and has not shown up. All the while I have missed work each time he makes one of these appointments with me. Only because of our previous relationship I was kind and understanding. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. But at this point, he is taking advantage of me and my patience. This is not how you treat loyal customers. I didn't hesitate to give him a large deposit and now I am being burned. He has my slab and my money and hasn't finished the job. It is only a one day job. How can he not find one day to finish it? I really wanted to believe him when he kept telling me he is sorry and he will come. Now six weeks later I check on yelp and see he has been doing this to other people since January as well. I pray he finishes this up this week otherwise I have told him I will pursue legal action. read more

I hired Sawaed a few years ago to do my kitchen countertops and the job went flawlessly so I hired him again to do an addition to my kitchen and use some leftover stone to replace bathroom countertops. He showed up, collected the deposit, signed the contract, had his guys come and demo on Jan. 18th and then disappeared. We were left without bathroom sinks until the last week of February. He avoided calls and texts, lied about dates or that his crew was on their way. I even drove out to his shop to see if he actually had my materials and only found the slab that he took from my house. After weeks of lying and not showing up I got a lawyer and told him he would have to deal with her. His crew showed up the next day and installed everything. While they do good craftsmanship my counters were measured slightly short in depth and the end result is very unsatisfying. You will be very frustrated if you work with him because he really doesn't care about small jobs anymore. read more

Update: On 10/23/18 2 reps from Cosentino, which manufactures Silestone, came to my home. They had been able to obtain the necessary paperwork from Sawaed the day before. They were able to remove the stain from the Silestone and showed me how to do it, should the need arise in the future.
