I've been here multiple times over the years. Always get take out. Pad Thai is my favorite. First few times, absolutely amazing. Taste and amount was perfect, couldn't complain about a single thing. Let me tell you, i hate complaining, i let it slide because i used to be a server. Anyways the last time i got the pad Thai was about 4 months ago. I just looked at it and the presentation itself was different. Just thrown together. Tried it, no flavor whatsoever. Didn't eat a quarter of it. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. They must've been extremely busy it's only happened once. Last week i decided to just get a bunch of appetizers. Five different ones because i wasn't so sure about trying the pad Thai again. Smallest portions ever. The place just opened and the food wasn't even hot. Nothing seemed freshed, nothing had flavor. Maybe it is under new management, but it'll be a long time before i go back unfortunately. read more

My wife and I have ordered from here twice, first time was a basil chicken spicy , second time not spicy. Both were delicious, the wait staff was nice and pleasant. Overall a good experience. We've been here many times before but this last time was different. Reservations were useless. In the past, we had almost always gotten the table I requested but when we arrived, there were no reserved tables and they never looked at a reservation list. Each time a dish came, it was brought by a different person who quickly disappeared, No one came over during the meal to refill water glasses or to make sure everything was okay, which it wasn't. The Thai rolls were burnt. The Pad Thai, always my favorite was dry and had no crushed peanuts. The rest of the food was bland. It seemed as though everything had changed and not for the better, the waitstaff, the service, and the cooks. Too bad because this use to be my favorite Thai restaurant. read more

Stay in the area once a month for work, and felt like some Thai on this occasion. Looked like their menu fit what I was specifically looking for best so I decided to check them out. Got the "create your own" basil with chicken which was great. My only complaint was that I got it to go and they put the noodles in a separate container. When I got back to my hotel the noodles had taken on the shape of the box that they were in and were difficult to mix with the chicken, sauce and veggies. Tasted very good nevertheless. Crab Rangoon was excellent and they pair it perfectly with the pineapple sauce. I had some wine at the bar while I waited for my food to finish and the service was great, they didn't even make a face with my constant indecisiveness and order changing! Also they had no problem honoring the 20 percent off the bill for checking in on Yelp. I'll definitely hit them up again next month! read more

The food here is good, the only complaint I gave is that the pad Thai sometimes comes out in one large noodle clump, as if they have pre cooked noodles ready that have all clumped up. One big mistake this place is making is the customer service. They close to transition from lunch to dinner, I called once 10 minutes prior to the close for dinner and they said sorry we are closing. At that moment I became a once in a while customer rather then my usual 2-3 time weekly visits for take out. Food was good. Service was slow and somewhat rude--don't take too well to any sort of special request, no matter how seemingly small. It was a very cold day today and they had the air conditioner blowing. (There are vents placed frequently throughout the place so they're hard to escape.) Was full from the meal but will probably go back to try the desserts, which sound good--in the summer. Also still want to try the Thai iced tea, as it varies from place to place. Ambiance was good. Went to Sawasdee last night with my hubby and 11 year old daugther on our continuing quest to try all the new restaurants in Danvers. I was first attracted to their ultra cool glass light fixture over the bar which sparkles beautifully, drawing you in from the cold. The decor is soooooooo nice, so comfortable yet upscale at the same time. Exposed brick wall, beautiful lights over each table and more. The food was fantastic! Curry spiced just right and delicious tempura were among my favs. I had just been to PF Chang's that day for lunch and this was better....way better. Besides being crowded, dark and more pricey, PF Chang's food was simply not as tasty. This is also better than the Iron Chef in Danvers which good in itself. Were there on a busy Friday night and sat at the bar. Great service, delicious food. The tom yum soup was perfect(for those who like spicy kick) and the golden bags were a great appetizer dumpling, deep friend and full of flavor and juice. A huge fan of efficient service and the waitresses here have it down and are very friendly. The interior decor makes it very pleasant and cozy, too--good spot for a date. read more

I like the Thai rolls, Pad Kee Mao (I order w/Tofu and w/o egg or fish sauce) and vegetarian soup. The chili sauce here is a great compliment to any dish. Best pad Thai I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and stir fried. The hot basil chicken was great and the fried ice cream was excelent. This place is also clean, well decorated, and has amazing service. our water glasses where not empty for a second! We flew out to Boston from California and went to Sawasdee Danvers twice in our four days in Massachusetts. SO DELICIOUS!! The staff was friendly, and the food was wonderful. The vegetarian tofu noodle soup was the perfect warm-up appetizer after walking in the sub-freezing weather. The food was fresh and well-prepared. And the prices were SO REASONABLE!! Stay away from the crispy Pad Thai. It was just those dried noodles you get with 3 shrimp and 4 pieces of dried up chichen. It was too sweet, and it takes balls to charge $8.05 for such crap. They even left the tails on the shrimp which is a nice suprise while you eat it. read more

I absolutely love this place! The food is always good and they have a pretty big menu which is nice if you are with a large group of people. The staff here are always nice and everyone always seems to be smiling! I have been going here on a pretty regular basis since they first opened. I usually do take out from here once a week. I ordered vegetarian pad Thai, no fish sauce with egg and steamed tofu. The taste was delicious and it had a good pad Thai flavor- I ate pad Thai for 20 years before I became vegetarian. Many Thai restaurants serve bland or overly salty pad Thai if you ask for no fish sauce. The pad Thai was on the oily side but not unacceptably so. I think the true test of a business is how they handle a mistake. There were no veggies except scallions. When the waitress asked how my meal was i pointed this out. She offered to bring out a plate of steamed vegetables which I happily accepted: broccoli, snow peas, baby corn, green beans and carrots. Two of the three remaining front-of-house employees came to check that I was happy which really impressed me. read more

This is a great addition to Danvers, It has a fresh atmosphere. Everyone is really really nice. Great service and the food is spectacular. We eat there at lease twice a week. The food is so fresh and has really bold flavors. This is the best thia food I have ever had. The prices are very reasonable, in fact I found them to be on the low side, can you believe it? Words cannot express how much I love this place. The atmosphere is so relaxing...it's a great place to unwind on a Friday night after a stressful week. The food is delicious and consistent. The portion sizes are plentiful and the prices are extremely reasonable. What I love most about this place, in addition to the food obviously, is the attention they pay to detail, from the decor to the service. What do I recommend on the menu?
