I've seen quite a lot of good reviews for this place, so decided to try it out. The amount of food we got is good and there was plenty for dinner and for leftovers next day. My boyfriend liked the food, but I'm not really a fan. We got pork lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, bone-in ribs and Thai chicken teriyaki. We called to place a takeout order and went by the menu on their website. I wish there were photos or better descriptions for all dishes. Sweet & Sour Chicken is one of my favorite dishes and it is a main dish (not an appetizer), but this was served as chicken fingers with sauce on the side. While I liked the flavor of chicken fingers and the chicken wasn't dry, I am disappointed that it is the same as ordering chicken fingers appetizer, just paying more. Thai Chicken Teriyaki (chicken skewers) is another favorite of mine. While this was ok, I wouldn't get it again. The chicken was cooked right and wasn't dry, but I didn't get much flavor besides something acidic (like vinegar based marinade). It didn't taste bad, but somewhat bland. It came with peanut sauce, which was completely frozen and also looked very unappetizing, so I didn't even try it. Pork lo mein and Bone-in ribs were not for me at all. Have eaten here a number of times. My last few visits I have not been happy with the food quality. Cleanliness, service and atmosphere remain very good. Boneless spare ribs were overcooked and so chewy they're nearly inedible. General Gaus's chicken was extremely tough. Pork fried rice was dry and did not taste fresh. New to the area and looking for a go-to Chinese joint for takeout. We decided to dine in and order some of our favorites. It was... okay. Interior is decently tidy, certainly cleaner looking than my former favorite (Jade East in Tewksbury). Service was friendly and prompt. A few letdowns though. The alcohol was pretty weak (I'm not a regular drinker and physically small as well, so for *me* to think a drink is weak... that's kind of bad.) The crab rangoons were greasy in a bad way and had little flavor. This was a bummer for us because I really miss the crab rangoon at Jade East! I ordered the pan-fried noodles with broccoli and chicken - this was already kind of a strike for me because most places incorporate other vegetables like carrots, water chestnuts, etc. But this was strictly velveted chicken, broccoli, and noodles. The sauce wasn't anything great either. My fiance ordered "Aromatic Beef," which was flagged as spicy. He also requested when ordering to kick it up and make it even spicier. But what this place lacks in fountains and lava wall decor, they make it up with absolute flavor!!!!! I'd gladly forgo any decorative "ambiance " for this wonderful food. Just moved to the area and decided to stop in for a dinner with some girlfriends who were visiting. We were promptly seated and the waitstaff was very pleasant. We ordered a few appetizers and pork fried rice. The servings were large enough for the three of us and everything was very yummy! The crab rangoons had just the right amount of filling and weren't overly crabby or creamy. The scallion pancakes weren't the best, but good, a bit dry. This is okay if you have a hankering for Asian food and you're in . . . well Peabody(where according to wiki 80.4% white and 1.9% are Asian). They have some all day specials where you can get an entree, two appetizers, and side of rice, fried rice, or garlic noodles. All of that food would be about $10-$12, so I thought it was a good deal. I got General Gau's chicken which has a spicy designation and I was reminded that it was spicy but I've had mild buffalo wings that were spicier. Perhaps because it was about an hour before closing, I simply did not get any of the spiciness. I got crab rangoons that did not have any "crab" in it. My husband got egg noodles with beef and broccoli. He's Chinese so he thought it was a little more expensive for what it is, but considering Chinatown is about a 30-40 min drive(including trying to find parking) then really the price is not too bad.
