It is a smaller aquarium, but was not at all lacking for the cost and what they advertised (I grew up in a Chicago suburb so it's hard to compare to the Shedd Aquarium). So many varieties of coral and anemone. Many types of grouper, clownfish, and starfish. The montereys were fun to watch. I'd almost consider this a petting zoo but for fish. There were 3 or 4 open tanks with the purpose of touching the fish. Our daughter is a little young for that but she loved tracking the fish in their tanks. The aquarium was well staffed. The staff was very friendly and informative. It was well maintained and clean. There's a little gift shop and a photo booth to remember your visit by on the way out. Would recommend to anyone who has kids maybe 14 and under or anyone who has a real interest in sea creatures.

One important note for those with sensitivities: Anyone with mold sensitivities, asthma, or environmental allergies may want to proceed with caution. We were indoors for about 35 minutes, and afterward I didn't feel well. The space is quite humid, and the building is older, with visible signs of water damage on the ceiling throughout the building. There also doesn't seem to be much fresh air circulation. Because my children and I are very sensitive to mold, this unfortunately isn't a place we'll be able to visit again anytime soon. I'm sharing this simply to help others with similar sensitivities make an informed decision.

If I had known about the bats, I would've visited sooner. This park has stocked ponds and fishing. I was there for almost 2 hours. All of these photos are taken in sequence with the intention of giving you a sense of what it's like to walk through the park and loop around to the sidewalk that runs down Maple, then re-enter the park and exit. Every year in April, my family and I participate in the MS Walk at Kliener Park. The MS Society…read morehas been hosting the walk at this park for several years now. It's the perfect venue for the walk. There are some walkers who have Multiple sclerosis so the fact that the paths are so easy for their walkers, mobility carts and wheelchairs help them out a lot. Having a nicely paved path for them is so important. I appreciate that there's so many things to do and see at the park. The walking trail of course. The big playground for the kiddos. The big water fountain to sit and chill by. The wildlife having babies and seeing them hanging out at the park. It's hard not to get sidetracked during the walk to look at all the ducklings. Kliener Park is so beautiful and clean. There's always a grip of people here all the time. It's great! People are out, enjoying the sun and getting in some physical activity. I wish I lived closer to this park. I would love to ride my bike down here just to get some fresh air and sun. I do look forward to coming back soon. Hopefully before next year's walk.

BCC's Friday night painting parties are the best. After being introduced to BCC through a Yelp…read moreevent, I raved about how much fun we had so much that my friend insisted we go. I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? Paint, scavenger hunt, paint, view a couple short videos of Alex's work (amazing), paint, roof view of Boise and foothills, paint, and adding a layer to the splatter paint room. Bring plenty of wine because it's going to be a long, fun evening.

The studio is awesome, but it was Alex & Mandy that made the night so much fun! The hours went by so fast, w/ drying times occupied by a scavenger hunt, adding our mark to the group paintings and a beer break. The evening ended w/ Alex's surprise piano solo! Though my husband had a bit of painting experience, my daughter & I hadn't ever done a painting. We were so surprised that we could end up with a real painting that we liked enough to display!
