What a fun place to come sit and enjoy the view and a wine flight! They have ample outdoor seating and a beautiful view of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. They offer a variety of snacky foods as well as seasonal wine and mimosa flights. This would be a great place to come with out of town guests or a group of friends. 2nd & last winery stop of the day that my friend took us to. Small inside but lots of space out in the back (it was too windy and cold to take advantage of). Wine flights are double the price of Ste. Chappelle's but their pours are more generous & they have food. Ordered the meat and cheese charcuterie board recommended by my friend and it was delish! Wines were good as well. My friend ordered a champagne flight all of which were full glasses and very tasty. Views are also amazing. read more

Stopped by with my brother and sister-in-law for a small snack and glass of wine. The food and wine was wonderful. The setting is beautiful. I would like to make one comment about the restrooms. Put auto closers on the doors and remove the restroom supplies in between the restrooms. All this distracts from the great ambience while sitting in the winery. read more

Such a beautiful winery!!! Went here and was blown away by the view and how beautiful the outdoor patio was! I started with the mimosa flight which was a lil too sweet for my taste, but I asked for some extra champagne to pour in it and they accommodated with no problem. Then I had a red flight and it was sooo good! Loved the Malbec! We also ordered their charcuterie board and OMG. It had thick pieces of meat along with prosciutto, Brie cheese with balsamic vinegar drizzle, fruit and candy. Our "host" was Pam and I loved her bubbly personality. I only had time to go to one winery while I was in Idaho. I picked an awesome one. The servers there were very nice and warm. Flights $15, you can customize them. The Cheese Board was $14 added cost for meat. Very very good. In California we are blessed with many wineries throughout the state, I belong to several of them. Sawtooth's wines, both white and red are so good. I didn't taste any thing I didn't care for. This is definitely a must go to winery. The only reason I gave it for 4 stars is because I spent over $200 in wine and was still charged for the wine tasting. It's no big matter, but most wineries here in California will give you the tasting for free if you buy bottles of wine. read more

Ok so, this place is AMAZING. We are in Boise from Denver for the holiday. First of all, WHO KNEW Idaho had such great wine?! The rosé was bomb. The viognier, bomb. This place is just overall the bomb. But you know what MADE this place the most amazing? Alicia. My husband and I were here with my sister and her wife. My husband and sister-in-law walked over to the winery next door to check out the vibe, but my sister and I just decided to stay here simply because Alicia was so cool and was giving us such a good time. My husband and sister-in-law ended up coming back and we hung out for a while longer. We spent over 3 hours here hanging out on the patio with Alicia, simply because of the vibe she was serving up. Next time we come back, I seriously hope Alicia is still here, because this is the best winery experience I've EVER had. Alicia made our time here THE BEST. Thank you so much. Love love love this winery! I originally went to check out St Chappelle which is just up the hill but after trying both I enjoyed this place more. The staff is friendlier and really like their outside seating. The wines are all delicious. I'm not usually a Rose fan but theirs was subtle and light. Very refreshing. read more

Sawtooth has a beautiful new tasting room up on the hill next to St. Chapelle. The 2 wineries are owned by the same company, and I understand that they use the same winemaker now. As for the new tasting room...it's really nice. Beautiful view of the Snake River Valley. Modern architecture, but comfortable. Very friendly staff. For the wine....meh... We tried the winemakers red flight (tempranillo, Malbec, and a Syrah...all'15 vintages). The wines tasted really young, and watery, although the Malbec was the best of the flight. We will probably come back from time to time, but it will be mostly for the view. read more

My husband and I went out to pick up our wine club selections and stayed to enjoy a glass of wine, a fabulous cheese/fruit plate and beautiful ambiance overlooking the Snake River Valley. A special shout out to Kelli, Sara and Tori the Thursday crew. Such fun conversation and fabulous customer service. This is my first and only winery that I have visited in Idaho. I grew up in Idaho but moved away prior to my 18th birthday and just never thought to take in a winery while I was in town visiting family. My lovely sister-in-law found a great Groupon deal that included wine tasting for four and two bottles of wine for $40. The winery is located in Nampa and had gorgeous views of the countryside. The tasting room is located upstairs and is a small area that fit our group of four comfortably at the tasting area but I would be concerned about a larger group trying to fit around the bar. The tasting included a sample of 8 wines. I asked the staff where the grapes for each wine came from and was surprised that she said all grapes were from their vineyards in Nampa. I am not a wine sommelier but am pretty surprised that each grape is able to grow in nampa valley so not sure I fully believed this statement. After the tasting, we decided to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view while drinking a bottle of their wine. It was a really gorgeous view of the Owyhee mountains and although the wine on the tasting menu was not very impressive, I would definitely return for the view and to try another tasting the next time I am in town. read more

We were visiting this winery today with friends. The service was outstanding! Even though they were busy, everyone came to greet us and talk to us. I just want to thank this amazing staff. Faith signed us up for a membership, Tara poured our wine and kept us informed of the great wines and food. Ben signed us up for a reservation even though the site said they were full. Love sawtooth wine but while visiting their tasting room I have not been too impressed. My first visit we (two of us) did not have reservations and there was no way to get in. My second experience there were 7 of us with reservations and we had a great time. The not problem I had was questioning why there was a small able that should have only had 2 max 4 people at had 10 people standing around. Quite intrusive. Service was great and Ben was a great server!!! I hope to return again and will enjoy the great location and local wine read more

Usually when you enter a winery the staff are kind and friendly. Not here. Instead of hello, I was greeted with "we close in half an hour" and literally stared at. I said I stopped in to see what kind of wine they had. Nothing. I was simply stared at. I had to ask to look at a menu. The other staff noticed his rudeness and tried to make up for it by giving me a menu and being cheerful, but it was really too late. Other people came in after me. They stayed and ordered. Given that the winery is only open from 11-5, half an hour to taste a wine isn't egregious. I have no idea if the wine is good because I left. read more
