I own a 5 year old Lincoln so I get all my serving done here. Crystal, my service advisor is always pleasant and efficient and accommodating. I don't have to wait for phone to be answered. i live in Manteo, and a driver. will come to my home, pick up my vehicle and return it when it's done. Today my inspection was done while I was having my hair cut. This makes my car service very easy for me. No more waiting around drinking coffee or arranging for a friend to pick me up. We traveled to OBX from the Philly area a few days ago for vacation and after we parked at our house, I noticed some oil drops on the ground from our F150. I stopped in at R D Sawyer this morning to see if they could take a quick look or see when I can bring it back to get it checked. They got me right in and out in no time! the Staff was super friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful. I'm sorry I cant remember the names of the employees I delt with but huge kudos to them! If you have a Ford car or truck in the OBX and have an issue, def check these guy out! I have been going to R .D. Sawyer for the last 16 years since I moved to Nags head, NC. I can't say enough for the friendliness and courtesy of the service, office, and sales people. Cars break. Sawyer fixes them. I live where it is salty and have some salt related problems. R. D. Sawyer has fixed them, and when necessary contacted Ford for a warrantee problem. I get my oil changes there and also bring a Ford I previously bought from another dealer there for service. Like my last Edge, they will be my choice for a fair deal on a new Edge. read more

If you need some help and you're on vacation you need a place To take your car do not take it here they charged me $2000 to fix my steering that went out and when I got back to Raleigh the other Ford company told me they did it all wrong and was was poorly assembled and needs fixed right away and when I contacted RD Sawyer to help with the problem the owner Robyn was very rude and said she would never fix my problem or help me with it, The manager Vick promised he would do whatever it took to fix it and then never followed up with me was very sloppy never called me back never checked to see if it got fixed and left my whole family out to dry now I got a broken lemon car no refund can't pass inspection and isn't safe to drive my three kids thanks for nothing! read more

While on our family vacation last week in the OBX staying in Corolla, that Wed. 9/5 we noticed something wasn't right with our Explorer...air conditioner was blowing warm air and there was a rubber smell and odd noise. We called AAA and had it towed to the Ford dealer RD Sawyer in Manteo about an hour south of where we were staying. We were able to rent a Ford Fusion from them to use and 2 days later we picked up our Explorer with a new compressor and serpentine belt. Our Explorer is running great again. We're so very grateful that we had our car in trusted hands to get it fixed and not be taken advantage of...everyone was absolutely fabulous! Just can't say enough about the excellent service at RD Sawyer...Doc the owner, Robin, Jaurice and especially Kenny the Service Manager, what a relief and blessing to find them....and we didn't even miss a beat with our vacation! I LOVE RD Sawyers! It is the ONLY place I take my car in for repairs. Michelle, in parts and service, goes out of her way to schedule service and repairs in a timely fashion. We have many of our postal cars using RD's for all their service and repairs. I have also bought a van from RD's. The asking price was very fair and it was a hassle free experience.
