The story/car problem: We drove through some high water…read more(about side skirt high) in a 2013 Hyundai Sonata limited, and a short while after driving the check engine light came on (the car jolts anywhere from 10-20 mph when you try to accelerate normally, the car still accelerate, but very slowly and it doesn't pass 60 mph, and when you drive through heavy rain or water, it drops down to 40 mph and you can't pass 40mph), so went to autozone to get a diagnostic via scanner, and the scanner read the problem to be the "knock sensor", and we needed someone to check the knock sensor to see if it needs replacement, in that case we have the part to replace it. After calling so many "roadside assistance, auto care services". He was the only one who picked up the phone in the same day and was able to do the service within that same day. Fixed the car no problem and it's running right back in new Very kind, nice and respectful, and gave a reasonable price and was able to do the job within an hour, we're also all the way deep into Outer Banks so he traveled all the way down here to help us as soon as possible and we're so blessed that he helped us out Very much recommend if you're in the Outer Banks North Carolina area

I'd used this business before, and knew the owner had retired - Now turning it over to this younger group. Same vibe, same super reasonable cost, excellent customer interface. I also asked about a brake job on my Jeep, to which Amanda said, of course, they were just finishing one up now. Brilliantly, she offered they don't automatically replace the rotors -which is a wonderful high profit job for the usual shops, but often not necessary. That was beyond refreshing. This business is a keeper. It's a low overhead shop, so no glitzy outer building and signage, or waiting room (they do have a small spot, complete with a happy dog.) Don't be put off by the exterior - they are a rare bargain. 5 stars easily.

They gave an honest appraisal of all the things my car needed, including a mindfulness towards the oil, and new front tires (which I clearly needed before running anything over), and assured me I was good for the return trip home without any immediate repairs or parts done in their shop.
