The food, ambiance and service is amazing. I have gone a few times. They never disappoint.

My friend and I went there for the live music and drinks. And by the attitude of the hostess, we brought the plague with us. We were told we could only sit at the bar, not the dining room, (at the bar all seats were taken) and while standing waiting for a spot we were in the way, for which she glared at us each chance she could. The butternut squash salad. Ughh I'm in love. Winter mixed greens, red cabbage, roasted butternut squash, candied pecans, pumpkin seeds, what else could make this salad better? Not much. I added avocado because why not, and was oh so glad I did. The delicate creaminess of the avocado complimented the crunchy, rich flavors already present. It was heaven. Good ideas for flavor but not well executed. I hope the new menu coming out is better then the one I tried. I ordered the Arancini (stuffed risotto balls), the calamari, and the "Special of the night" pasta. Pictures included. I'm hoping with the new menu they will use fresher items. I'm giving a 3/5 for the food but a 1/5 because they had a big band playing ridiculously loud! I could barely hear my server who was two feet away from me. Not a good start Sazzy :( I couldn't imagine why they think this loud roaring music was a good idea as it is a cozy place. Very annoying. If they toned it down a lot it may have been pleasant. The Calamari is typical olive garden style. I would think if it costs $9 per plate they should use fresh Calamari. A place I've been to in Gurnee has amazing fried calamari. Very soft. Unlike this which you can tell was popped out of the freezer and into the fryer. The calamari wasn't the toughest I've ever had but not even close to the best. The Arancini (stuffed risotto balls). I'm almost sure it was dipped in the fryer. I think is a good idea to have a good risotto dish but not previously into balls. I don't think it works very well. The risotto with the cheese and prosciutto would be a good simple dish. However since the risotto had to be prepared earlier it was a bit mushy. The flavors were nice and simple, why not keep it that way? When I get something with risotto, I expect it to taste fresh and not mushy. The special of the night was much better. Clearly it was freshly cooked fettuccine. It almost tasted home made. The red sauce was nice, well seasoned, and not too overwhelming. The chicken had little flavor and no love. Staff was quite friendly. However, when I heard another patron explain his position with the Arancini, there was no offer to not charge. When I told the server my calamari was not good (and only took a couple of bites) they also kept it on the bill. Not professional . I'll try the new menu when it comes out and I sure hope it's better and fresher! The restaurant that was in there before was quite decent. (Lazy Bird). Not sure why they shut it down but I hope they listen to the honesty of their customers and improve. read more

I was in Kenosha by myself and needed a good place to eat. A kind lady down on the lighthouse pier told me I couldn't go wrong at Sazzy B's. I took her advice and she was right on! A wonderful meal. They were still open when I got there kind of late and I was able to sit outside and eat. The menu was exciting and fun, the food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. The avocado was brown. They added spinach in my omelette over what it said in the menu without asking. They charged for butter and jelly for your toast - almost everywhere else it's included. The menu is small but the food and atmosphere and drinks were great. My wife and I both had pasta but the steak gnocchi that I had was level 10! Maybe one of the best meals I have had this year. Make sure you make reservations as it fills up fast. read more

You know, there aren't many options for interesting food and drink in downtown kenosha. And i guess when you don't have competition you can charge whatever you want for a average product. That is what has happened here. Where at once it might've been a legitimately good restaurant it is now an average kenosha restaurant charging chicago prices. Menus not listed online. By design? $22 for a dry slightly tough overcooked "short rib" burger and fries. Are you foreal? $32 for the short rib entree with dry short rib on a bed of plain spinach, served with barely cooked cherry tomatoes and salt potatoes. Pasta special was a thick red sauce on not homemade pasta for $10, added steak that was already cut into VERY small pieces before being cooked for $10. When we first moved here in 2019 the food was better and the prices were lower. Now it's just another Kenosha disappointment. Wish I could share pictures of this mid level cafeteria food but they keep it SO dark inside so you can't take a picture of anything. Real let down guys. And a straight shot to your wallet. We drove to Kenosha today for the Farmers' Market. Afterwards we were hungry and happened upon this place by chance. We are sooo glad we did! My daughter loved it, in fact, we all did. We dropped in around 10:30 for brunch, (we will definitely come back soon for dinner.) We had no problem getting a table, but they had a decent crowd. When you walk in, you get a nice vibe. The space is very inviting, it's clean and simple with a lot of exposed brick. It's an old building that has been nicely restored. My wife had the "Big-girl Mimosa", which she said was excellent. I enjoyed a very good Bloody Mary (they had approximately 6 to chose from). My wife ordered the Monte Carlos (ham and fontina cheese between two slices of brandy french toast). It was amazing! My daughter and I split the Big B breakfast. It included: sausage links, bacon, fried potatoes, eggs, fruit, and pancakes; all were cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly, relaxed, and professional. This place has upscale food, and big city ambiance, but with a down-to-earth Kenosha charm. We will definitely be back here soon! read more

Celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary weekend here and absolutely loved everything. We had the goat cheese risotto appetizer along with some specialty cocktails. We sat at the bar for about 3 hours and had a great conversation with Nick as he mixed some drinks just for us. Everything from the food, drinks and hospitality was above and beyond. Arrived just before our 6pm reservation for 4 and was seated immediately. Our server Tish was attentive and accommodating all evening. We started with cocktails and beer from the extensive craft lists that were delicious and fun. Great start! Our appetizers of calamari and hummus (with beet) were excellent. The calamari had two sauces, one traditional marinara and the second a spicier almost salsa consistency. Excellent. We had four entrees and shared them all. The short ribs w/polenta were excellent and creamy. The mushroom parapadelle was creamy and earthy. The seared tuna was cooked the way it should be, lightly seared and served with udon, snap peas and two different sauces for some zing. The short rib burger was out of this world with onion, pineapple and bbqsmoke SO good. We finished with coffee and flourless chocolate cake. Perfect ending. As i look back at the meal, the thing that stands out is the effort put into the entrees. None of them were complex to complete, but the scratch cooking, outstanding ingredients AND the attention to showcasing the flavors was just stellar. Overpriced food and it was gross. I asked for a medium rare steak and it was completely burnt on the outside but still raw/cold on the inside. Drinks were also ridiculously expensive and the ice cube was about 85% of the drink. Would not recommend coming here. read more

Mark was able to recreate a drink to perfection that we loved that was on special three years ago. Went and found the special liquor that was needed and perfected the rest. We took our boat from Chicago to the Southport Marina. We got in around sunset and found Sazzy B on Yelp. What a find! They had a Jazz band playing, and we split the Roasted Chicken and the Steak Bruschetta. It was delicious! The chicken had a ginger purée that was incredible, the bruschetta was interesting with a white cheese sauce. Not for those wanting fresh tomatoes, but an interesting twist. Kurt the bartender recommended some amazing drinks and even made me something he recommended, and it was great. We came back for brunch and it was just as good. They have 6 mixologist Bloody Marys, and the Huevos Rancheros has chunks of grilled chorizo. Justin and Josh were on it, and their recommendations were excellent with great service. Have heard about this place for years-finally tried it for Sunday brunch with a party of 6. Rule #1. Make reservations. We were seated almost immediatel as others waited. But then we waited 10 minutes for any waitstaff to approach us. Ordered a few drinks....3 bloodies and a tea. Took about 10 minutes for the tea. Hadn't received bar drinks yet when we asked to order as we could see nothing was going fast. 20 minutes after ordering, the bloodies arrived. Not sure what took so long. Food arrived 35 minutes after ordering. That was a long wait for pretty easy orders. On a good note, everyone liked their food, liked the ambience. Would try again based on reviews, but probably not during the height of a busy time...I'm thinking it's a small kitchen for the size of the orders? read more

We sat at the bar with a bottle of wine, eating their chicken and fish dishes. Let's start by saying this is one of the up-and-coming "hipster-ish" bars in the area. There's Nothing really to complain too much about with the food except it's too pricey and uppedy. There are items on the menu that make little sense with the dishes, and are incredibly over baked and hard to identify once on the plate. The wine was amazing but the drinks could leave something to be desired if you get it from the "wrong" bottle. We were at the bar for several hours and the bartenders opened several sealed bottles only to try them (a sip each) make faces and say things to the effect of "oh no, that's not right," and "that's rum!" And then proceed to put the bottle away and then reseal it and put it in the bottom of the bar. I would be very careful when I order straight or expensive mixed drinks from that bar. Otherwise staff of on top of things as far as service and pleasantries. I would go back again only for the atmosphere and the wine. read more

What a lovely place in downtown Kenosha! This place is a definitely hit for its food and drinks but honesty getting 5 stars for its excellent service! We had some issues with our car and were late to our reservation and called ahead. They did everything in their power to move reservations around and gives us a relaxing evening! Our waiter was super kind with his recommendations and amazing cocktails! My peach Moscow mules was so so good! We got the crab and truffle flatbread as a starter and it was very good! If you like truffle oil I would definitely recommend! Then we each got a pasta made with chicken and lots of cheese. Delicious in every bite. My husband, son and I went on a week night. It was decent inside. Nice decor. I ordered an expresso martini that turned out to be the best part of the whole meal. I had the Nashville Hot chicken, my husband had a filet and my son had the Mac and cheese. I had the only drink. Service was good but the food was just ok. Including tip dinner cost about $150. Way overpriced for what we were given. Nothing was terrible but just not excellent. read more
