After looking at our couch and rug, he discussed the process he'd have to perform. The couch is linen so he said that he'd have to use chemicals specific for natural fibers (prevents yellowing). On the day of the cleaning, he showed up early. I had a couple of small wool rugs I had forgotten to discuss with him during the day of the estimate. He didn't blink an eye and cleaned them without extra charge. He and one worker did the work. In under an hour, they were done. It took a few additional hours for the couch and rug to dry. When I was younger, I used to clean carpets so it was like second nature. I bought one of those Bissell carpet-cleaning machines from Costco and I thought that it would do the trick, however, I knew that my carpet was soiled because we also had a dog. Besides it only had a 1-gallon water tank on it. It's great for spot clean ups, but not an whole house job. With that I knew that I needed to have a professional crew come in as the job was too BIG for me to handle with that machine. Being a firm believer of getting three proposals, I went thru the YELP reviews to look at carpet cleaners. Knowing that it I needed to get it done before Christmas, I knew that I would probably be paying a lot higher price. I have a two-story house with about 15 stairs. I called three separate companies, all of which gave me OUTRAGIOUS bids. I thought that I was going to have to hire one of these companies until I found S.B. Carpet Cleaning which was my 4th pick. This crew is professional. I gave them two weeks notice and they fit me in. The best part of it was that they called and reminded me 24 hours prior to their arrival. How many companies do you know that do that these days? These guys showed up before my appointment time and was out and complete in about 3 hours. We have been in our current home for about 5 years, and light cream color carpet. Our carpet on top really wasn't dirty, but when S.B. Carpet Cleaning was done I really could tell a difference.
