I took my son and his 3 Friends here for my sons birthday and they had a blast. The boys were able to do 3 races at 10 minutes a piece with a break in between and the price was well worth it. My sons and his friends left there happy because they had such a great time. I will be taking them back here. Read the fine print on Groupon- only good for Monday to Thursday. It took us 4.5 hours after a flat tire on the freeway to get there on a Friday afternoon and SB Raceway won't honor the Groupon. Paid full price for 2 races because my boys were so excited for days for this special trip. I on the other hand was not a happy consumer. I asked for the manager and the cashier refused. Very disappointed! Bought a groupon deal (3 races per person) for my daughter and her friend. When they got down there they were refused. They were told that because it was Saturday after 5 PM, the Groupon couldn't be used. That they would have to pay additional money for only 2 races instead of the 3 we purchased. Don't waste your money, they don't list any black out dates/ times. Also the girl at the front desk was nasty, argumentative, and just plain rude. What ever happened to customer service? Wait time is ridiculous. Literally sweating as I write this review, the air conditioning in this establishment is near nonexistent. Would rather get stabbed and go to the hospital again.... at least it'd be cooler in there. The rubber glove treatment sounds better than waiting for this line at the moment. The cold tingling feeling would bring me back to my senses rather than melting, and having this couch bind with me. The water fountain doesn't work, and the environment in the building is dull and uninviting. The workers match the atmosphere and show little to no care. Brought my son here for his 9th birthday. We went during th week so it was busy at all. If you purchase a group on you must wait 24 hours after purchase before using. My son had fun but it gets boring after the 3 lap. Maybe if my son had his friends and just not me. He would of enjoyed himself. Had a great time racing with my girlfriend at SB Raceway. Facility is really clean, go karts are super fast, and there are even games inside to pass time while waiting for the next race. Jannie was amazing I had bought some Groupons and had extra people with me and she worked it out so everyone could race at minimum cost. I wish this place was closer to where I live. It's a decent track and I would come more often if it weren't over an hour away. The only thing I don't like is how short the track is. There isn't a real straightaway which makes it really busy. I don't mind that, but a real straightaway and some more passing zones would make it even more enjoyable. Staff was professional and it is run fairly well. I was there for a charity race to raise money for the American Diabetes Association and everyone had a good time. This place is awesome. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. The Karts are new..and fast... and yes if you can run 5 races with a sub 30.25 lap... you can drive the fast cars... the track is not only fun to drive.. it is fun to look at.. and the deals are great for a karting track.. Saturday night my son and his friend had 4 hrs of open driving for $40 each... they ran 12 10 minutes races each.... so a little over $3 a race... and with 20 Karts out at a time... virtually no waiting between races. read more

Decided to bring a few kids to celebrate my son's birthday. We decided on a Friday afternoon (2:30pm). I called a head of time to see if they took reservations. They said it was walk in only but should be fairly empty. We arrived and had to wait about 20 mins. Got our 2 races in and was out the door in about 1.5hrs. Good times were had by all... Ambience/Location: This place is tucked in the back but not hard to find at all. It is really kids friendly with video games in the main area. There is a small party room in the back if you wanted to do a party there. Restrooms were average (had an odor in the guys). My biggest complaint was the gas fumes in the main race area. I actually got kind of lightheaded from standing out there during the races. Not sure if there are better ways to aerate the room. Service: There was 1 lady out front helping people. When we arrived, the place was empty and she directed us to the kiosk (3 in all) to sign up for their required membership/license ($6). Right after we got there, a flock of 10-12 people arrived and all had to wait for us. The kiosks were a pain. Self-explanatory but the screen wasn't responsive so each item took a while to input. Then, the lady took our info, made our card, and inputted our races. This took too long in my opinion. IN the meantime, things were backed up...she asked us to wait in the tutorial lounge...she started inputting the other people's info while we just waited and waited. Finally, she asked me to read the rules (written on the wall) to my kids (WTF!!!). There was a TV in there but she never turned the tutorial on for us. This is pretty sketchy being that my 8-9 year olds had never raced before. Then she told us to just grab helmets and head to the track. Once we got out there, the guy was nice and gave the kids a quick tutorial. Then they were off. Off course, being their first time, there were some crashes...but all in all, they had a blast. Following each race, she was able to print out the race info for all of the kids. Value: 2 races ran $30. Plus you HAD to buy a membership for $6. Kinda pricey. I bought the yelp discount $75 for $100 voucher so that helped a little bit. All in all, they kids had a blast. I'm not sure how safe the who process is (without proper instructions and all). And I think they can make the checkin process a little better. read more

My boyfriend and I went for his birthday and because of their Groupon deal. The check in was easy and so was the process of getting racing licenses. We were skeptical about what kind of treatment we would receive from the staff due to the negative reviews but the lady with curly hair was so nice we talked for about ten minutes after we had gotten everything set up. Had a great time with my 10-year-old grandson and his friend from school. We went on a Thursday afternoon and got a private lesson plus two races (one guided with the instructor and one not) and both learned a lot and became reasonable competent. I liked the emphasis on fun and safety. I was on the sidelines yelling, "Faster, Kyle! Don't be so cautious!" I figure this will all make him a *more* cautious driver when he's actually on the road as a teen-ager. read more

I would highly recommend this place. I seen a few negative reviews due to the lady behind the counter, but I disagree, she was very nice and extreamly helpful. I love the fact that she is very direct and wants everybody to have a good time. A few teenagers were rough housing and she put them in their place, and allow us to enjoy our time. First time here or doing this. The wife set it up for my birthday for the 2 of us to check this out. Friday morning, so we got to race alone..nice, but were wanting to race others too. Purchased 3 races a piece for $67. Each race is like 10 minutes each..all you need to get the feel..plus it gives you a good lil work out. Nice comfortable cars...and I'm 300 lbs track was neat, loads of fun! Staff was nice and helpful. Gotta get your license, watch a video, and you're good to go. Got a GoPro?..bring it, helmets have mounts..or you can rent a package from them. Anyone can ride..any age. I really had a blast and will definitely be coming back. Maybe even get a membership! Pros: Arcade games Indoors Clean restrooms Vending machines Cons: Hidden location Understaffed Cold Defective race cars Expensive Inexperienced workers Waited over two hours to have one of the three employees clean oil off the track. I don't think they had a protocol or system on how to clean it up. One guy kept placing fans around as if it was water and would dry. They never communicated with any of us customers on the wait and there was no manager to speak to. Finally got a refund. Will not be back read more

We started our office Xmas party here before heading out to dinner. Planning the event was a breeze even if I had a ton of questions. Rick was patient, had great follow through and kept in contact with me to make sure everything was arranged. On the day of the party, he made sure we were on schedule so that we could make it to our dinner reservations in time. I'm short and he made sure that my car was to my specifications each time we raced. Overall great experience. Would recommend working with Rick any time. We took our boys for the first time tonight, hoping for a great family night. Too bad the evening went really bad as one of our sons wallet fell out of his pocket during his race. One of the workers found the wallet and turned it in to the young lady running the check in desk. She found my son and returned his wallet. He looked inside his wallet to make sure his money was there and sadly 2 hundred dollar bills were gone. He was really upset, as it seemed as though the worker or the lady had taken his money. I searched for the owner to question his employee's, and he did. The owner didn't seem very interested in providing any customer service, nor did he seem interested in offering any lending hand to our son's plea to search for who had taken his money. This facility is very well maintained, and we assumed because the place was very nice, they would have a camera system. The owner explained they do not. I would suggest to the public to take your wallets out of your pockets before you race. I would hate for this to happen again. We ended our visit to SB Raceway with a sad note, as the owner walked away from us in mid conversation. We expained to our son, whoever took his money, must have really needed it. It's unfortunate this happened, and we hope whoever stole the money, uses it for goodness. We were upset at the employee's, but it also could have been another racer that took over our sons car in the race after him. We will never know. Too bad SB Raceway doesn't have camera's. Other than that experience, it was very exciting for our family. We wanted to make it a weekly family thing to do, but our sons won't return. They felt the owner didn't provide enough concern, or care. It's really too bad. read more

So, I decided to compete in the 2013 Spring League at SB. Probably one of the bet decisions I've made. Awesome track, fantastic karts, enthusiastic workers...all in one place. The racing was really intense, as all the karts are set up equally, which made the racing a lot better for me. Also, the price was very attractive, and the amount of laps the race included was a ton! Today was my first time here and it was cool. The place is nice and clean. I would recommend it and come here again. I bought two vouchers at $75 a pop and that saved me a couple of bucks. The only thing that I didnt like is that the person at the desk didn't let us know we had to register ourselves using the kiosk. So we waited a while for her to get off the phone and let us know but the good thing was that one person in our party knew what we had to do. If he didnt we would've waited even longer for her to get off her call. Other than that we had a lot of fun. Get there early if you dont you will find yourself waiting a while for your races. read more
