This was the worst medical experience of my life. There are too many details to type. A brief synopsis would include: I arrived with a bone spur that was not causing me pain at the time. The Dr. examined me and asked if I'd eaten anything that morning. I told him I had. He said he wouldn't be able to give me anesthesia because I had eaten. Instead of scheduling me on another day, he said: "we can do it with Nitrous Oxide gas." He explained that it would act as an anesthetic. He and his assistant fitted a mask to my face and began. To get to the bone they cut the gum, and used an elec. saw (Piezo?)to grind the bone down. I was screaming in pain through all this and they kept giving me more gas. It went on forever it seemed. The pain was intolerable. I required 18 stitches to close the wound. When they were done the paper on the exam table was shredded from my struggles. On the way out the assistant told me "oh, I changed the pain meds to a milder one!" This was 11/25/25 and it was effectively Thanksgiving. The pain meds didn't get ordered through my health plan. When I finally got though to the Drs emergency number, and actually got them, they were not strong enough to stop the pain. I told my wife I wanted to die. The pain was that bad. The medicine I was prescribed was Norco, the assistant changed it to Tramadol, but even that never got to the pharmacy. An error at the Oral Surgeon's office caused that. It was not transmitted correctly. Later, I reported this to Kaiser, and to my DDS who had referred, me not knowing I would receive such treatment. I wanted my dentist to not refer anyone to this practice. Finally on my last visit I was given a slip of paper telling me about a $10 Amazon gift card for a 5 Star review on Google, as well as Yelp. I won't expect a gift card. My follow up visit consisted mostly of the Dr telling me I had no tolerance for pain. No tolerance for pain. The final (3rd.) visit he never entered the room. The assistant examined me, left to speak to him, came back and said "Dr says you're all good." There's more but you get the idea. read more

Second of all, they push you to do UNNECESSARY treatments. I came in for a simple wisdom teeth removal but Dr. Elias remained adamant about collecting my plasma in order to place a bone graft. Im 30 years old - I DO NOT NEED a bone graft. I'm so glad I did my research and went elsewhere for a fraction of the cost WITHOUT having to do unnecessary treatments. This is a ridiculous response. First of all Lauren is not my real name but thank you for including that you did not have a patient on your records with that name as if this is made up like anyone would benefit from making a false review. I've said I completely understand the seriousness of the use of narcotic pain medication, personally having known several people who have gotten addicted from postoperative pain medication and a couple that resulted in even stronger street substances that ultimately led to a good friends passing. I don't even like the idea of taking them. But trust me when I say that when you're in THAT much pain, that's what those medications are for. I wasn't expecting him to send me home with 30 percs or oxys. I didn't even ask for anything in specific just SOMETHING to help me just a little bit and as I mentioned the 5mg norco barely helped but at least it was a small bit of relief. What strikes me as strange is that in the office he said he was actually not allowed by law to prescribe me more medication but in the review he says it was evaluated on a case by case basis and he determined it wasn't necessary. So it's safe to he lied. If you're a surgeon and can't prescribe more than a few norcos that's pretty hard to believe but I digress. If what I was feeling wasn't just cause for addition pain management medication then I want to know what is because like I said I couldn't eat, sleep, could barely talk, couldn't work, felt dizzy from the pain, and lost 10 pounds. What constitutes for appropriate additional medication I can't imagine. I assure you any amount of additional pain wouldn't result in anyone returning to the office for an evaluation but an immediate trip to the emergency room which I almost did unfortunately I can't afford a high copay to get IV fluids and another prescription of a few norcos. I also don't know how he can definitively say it wasn't necessary when I was the one in debilitating pain and there's no way for him to measure that. I want to reiterate that I don't know how or why I was in so much pain, especially since I've seen and known many people who have gotten wisdom teeth removed, sometimes several at a time and not even describing a fraction of the pain I was in, but that doesn't mean everyone's experience is the same therefore I must be a junkie fiending for some pills. He goes on to say that he cannot accept abusive, threatening, demeaning, or aggressive communication towards staff. That's news to me. I wasn't any of those even though, believe me, I wanted to be when no one seemed to care whatsoever about the pain I was in. If anything, like I described, it was demeaning the way I was treated as if a I had a little tooth ache and was spoken down to like a child and even then I was respectful and verbatim asked his expert assistant to please not speak to me like I'm 5. "Abusive and threatening". Please elaborate because that's a very bold statement. I may have come off as annoyed or rude at the lack of concern but certainly nowhere near anything abusive or threatening. That's preposterous. Not once in this reply did he she any but of concern or sympathy for I went through. Just immediately went on the defense which is par for the course after how I described I was treated. I can't speak for other patients but as for me, I can't say that I believe for a second that he and his practice takes post operative pain seriously. This response shows zero concern for what I went through, and no apology for the week long agony I was in. But when you have your own practice and are on a surgeons salary I suppose one wouldn't need to show any humility. This wasn't reassuring in any way other than what I already believed before this doctors response. Just more dismissing of MY experience and how much pain I was in. But it any case it's all said and done now. No skin off his back. But I did learn a valuable lesson that doctors can do and say whatever they want and still collect payment, insurance money, and a paycheck, all without the obligation to actually view their patients as human beings especially one with their own practice. Anyway if anyone is reading this I can't make you understand or feel my experience or believe me, you'll just have to be the judge of that on your own. read more

I went here to get 2 teeth pulled & implants placed on top & on the bottom of opposite side, after explaining my intense fear to dr elias, I thought it was going to be a tolerable experience, however after the first surgery in February I have numbness & pain in my bottom lip on right side (where implants are) & he swore it wasn't due to the implants. Well fast forward 8 months & I'm still numb there & have pain every time I brush my teeth if the brush touches my cheek so I have had to change everything involving my mouth. I still bite my lip inadvertently many times not even always when eating, but certain movements when talking, laughing, etc. He has never given me an explanation for why I'm numb & having pain there. I went in today 6 weeks after the temporary implants were placed, expecting to go to sleep & be done with this horror show, but instead he adjusted one of them. But I asked how much longer til it's done, being obviously upset cause I was NPO thinking this was the placement of the permanent implants, CAUSE NOBODY CALLED to tell me different & I asked 3 times, how much longer? The dr kept answering with explaining well we have to see how your bite...etc, but never answered my question, then when I'm getting more anxious & my voice raises slightly he tells me I have to calm down, so I say calm down my life has been changed by this & I'm still in pain & numb & I get emotional & you say I'm yelling, this is not yelling (I say almost in tears) he repeats, well you have to calm down I can't talk to you like this. WTF? He basically ruins my mouth & is upset that I'm upset about it. So I just left. I need a place that does what they say & communicates any changes in plan prior to the appt. It's absolutely ridiculous especially dealing with a patient who is traumatized just going to dentist & had already suffered life altering effects from previous dental work, ALL WHICH HE KNEW BUT OBVIOUSLY COULDN'T HANDLE. Don't go here if you're a fearful patient, dr elias will just traumatized you further & treat you like it's your fault because of your intense fear. Being a retired ER nurse & dealing with many patients in many states, I have to say he is very unprofessional when dealing with patients fears & emotions, it's inexcusable to expect the patient to hide their feelings because you, the doctor, have issues, you're there to provide a service & comfort the patient, not the other way around. And if you make a mistake that changes the patient's life, you should Own it & not try to act like the patient is the problem, but your skills leaving the patient numb & in pain are the TRUE problem. read more

Dr. Elias and his entire staff were very professional, kind, attentive, and respectful. We took both our teenage son and daughter for wisdom teeth extractions, per their dentist and orthodontist's request and referral. We were very kindly and patiently assisted by Emily who made me feel so at ease from the start with scheduling appointments and answering all my questions. Taylor and Ashley were so patient and respectful when assisting and coordinating the financial portion of our treatment and answering all questions. My children were both extremely nervous, but were quickly put at ease by Dr. Elias and his excellent bedside manners and calm demeanor, at their consultations. On surgery day and for post opp appointments, both our teenagers were treated and assisted with such personal care, patience, respect, and extreme kindness by Dyanne, Louis, Laura, Michael, Emily, Diane, and Dr. Elias. They went above and beyond making sure that our children were cared for, were safe, and never rushed the procedure or appointments. The follow up appointments were very helpful and reassuring to ensure that our children were following post care instructions and healing properly. Deceitful, dishonest business approach. 1) Went in for a simple tooth extraction, besides X-ray they insisted / convinced a CT scan needed. NO other dental office ever does CT scan. 2) Quoted over $1300 WITH insurance 3) They said insurance authorization takes in 1 week. When called after 1 week, they said 3 to 4 weeks. Dr Elias is my hero! Here's a little history. I had a small butt lift 2 years ago that left me deformed. I had done my research and went to a fancy Beverly Hills doc who specialized in body lifts, so I figured I was in the right hands. I was not. Things went terribly wrong. I looked awful. I was super self conscious and terrified to go back under the knife ever again. I resolved that I would just need to dress in clothing that would hide the problem for the rest of my life. I went to see Dr Elias NOT actually intending to have more surgery. When he saw what had happened to me he told me that he was confident that he could fix my botched lift. I was gun shy to say the least. I'd had such a horrible experience before. He explained that it would be a scar revision that he'd combine that with some a little lipo to the area to achieve a good result. I went home to think and discuss with my husband. Once he met the doctor and felt comfortable we decided to go ahead. I'm here to tell you Dr Elias is a true artist. There was so much wrong with me that I figured maybe I'd get an ok result. What I got was so above and beyond my expectations. He has such a keen attention to detail. I'm blown away! My previous Dr relegated me to his PA for all follow up visits. Not Dr Elias. I never felt rushed on any follow ups. He's a very genuine, kind man. Huge shout out to his Dianne who was always by his side with love and kindness. I scheduled an appointment for a tooth extraction last Thursday May 25,2023. Diane was so good and attentive and knocked me out with general anesthesia. I didn't feel a thing. I was recommended to this office by my dentist and I couldn't be more grateful! I needed to remove 3 of my wisdom teeth and the staff were really great at calming my nerves and they made sure to explain the surgery and the recovery process thoroughly.
