SC village has a great fields but the refs in specific Nathan could use some changing he was way to quiet and very rude about certain situations such as being way to strict about what people who signed waivers wear and i'm sure it's just to sell more product that is overpriced but he was just standing there in the middle of the field doing nothing i've been to many airsoft places and none compare to how bad of a referee nathan was it's a shame they hire people with no social skills in a very Social area, i've been here multiple times and no problems usually at the end of the round they play a horn to signify that's the round ended but not nathan every player on the field complained about him and how he didn't explain anything but other then nathan and the outrageous prices for products this place is okay just don't forget any gear at home or else you'll get taxed like crazy read more

The Airsoft side of SC Village feels very neglected. Long story short, the referees and players tried hard to make it a good day, but it felt like the management / oversight of the Airsoft field sacrificed a lot to cater to the larger Paintball groups this day. Back in the day SC was a pretty staple field for Airsoft, but I doubt I'll ever go back again. I used to attend SC village infrequently a few years ago (a few times a year, for private and public games). Generally, private games were pretty fun and a positive experience. This was my first time back in about two years. I attended a walk-on game November 21; this was after several days of nonstop heavy rain, and the field was generally a mess; the roads on the way in are not very good; if you drive a normal non-lifted / non outdoor vehicle beware the potholes and bumps. I'm unsure if they used manure recently on their grounds, but the flooding had covered everything in a layer of soup mud that smelled like feces. It was disgusting and gunked up our cars and gear pretty badly. Access to different fields was not very good due to flooding and just holes in the ground. Again, this is not a unique issue for paintball fields, but Jungle Island / Wildlands airsoft used wooden planks to fill holes in the ground and provide access in similar circumstances; and not stink anywhere near as bad. I will admit - largely a weather problem, less an operations issue, but I'm unsure why the place smelled so disgusting. My bigger issue was that the general operation of the airsoft side was a mess. The staff was generally helpful and cordial. The refs were good and the store staff were helpful. Chronograph check was helpful and answered our questions; but unfortunately SC does not provide their own BBs for chronographing airsoft replicas, so the velocity limits are essentially hypothetical if you lie about what type of BBs are loaded in your replica. Most fields (e.g. Project N1, Wildlands) supply their own test BBs to avoid this problem. There were around 20-30 persons playing airsoft on this day compared to what looked like 100-200 paintballers. I arrived approx 10:40 (they opened at 10:00) and started playing by around noon, and got 5 sets of games in in the five hours from that time to closing (17:00 / 5 PM). There were a few reasons for this. Games typically run 10-15 minutes, then there is a swap so the teams can switch sides, and another round. After that, it is supposed to be a 5-10 minute reload break, but typically they ran more like 15-20 minutes. The staff were supposed to announce the games and give periodic updates ("5 minutes until next round of games at the red flags or green flags"), but sometimes due to disorganization they did not, and we missed 2 sets of games waiting for an announcement. When we reached out to the staff for help figuring out where the Airsoft Group was playing, their radio equipment suffered a lot of failures and the Paintball referees and Airsoft referees could not contact each other to answer our questions. Once we actually entered the game, due to small group size we were shoved on small fields like "The Castle," which are primarily intended for paintball with typically short engagement ranges of 50-60 feet at most. A decent airsoft gun can reach out to more than 100 feet with ease; what happened was our team was able to shoot the enemy team directly from our spawn / starting area into the enemy spawn area, killing them before they had a chance to really play and robbing them of their fun. Plus, in addition to this we endlessly did "team deathmatch" with unlimited respawns; if we did single-life elimination or medic games, spawn camping wouldn't have posed such an issue. This repeated across 4 of the sets we managed to play as we were sent from small map to small map; one team would wipe out the other team trapped in spawn and lead to a stalemate, until swapping sides and taking turns dominating the other team. We did end on a nice game at "Blackhawk," which is a large map they tend to save for large scenario games, and had the longer engagement ranges that prevented airsoft players from just reaching directly into player spawns. Overall, I don't blame the refs or staff for the gigantic mess of a day we had; they were trying hard with what they had, it felt like the field management did not provide adequate resources (working radios), did not coordinate well on announcements, and did not allocate sufficient fields that worked properly for airsoft due to either lack of knowledge or preferential treatment for their large paintball groups. Two stars for the staff trying their best, but 5 sets of games for $37 entry, disorganized play, and poor field selection is not something I would voluntarily do again, putting aside the stinky, soupy mud and weather problems. read more

Always good times at SC Village! Compared to nearly 10-15 years ago when I used to come here for paintball and airsoft, they've expanded and gotten much bigger from what I remember. The paintball and airsoft fields are separate. Airsofting? Look for the helicopter and drive past it for easy parking, if available. Paintballing? Keep driving onward until you see plenty of parking, cars, and tables. Service was great except for an administrative hiccup on their end. I signed my crew up for a private airsoft session from 10 AM - 1 PM (need at least 10 people for private games), yet somehow they had us down for paintballing. Some improvements need to be made in regards to that, otherwise the staff on site was helpful, friendly, and ensured our crew (which included a lot of noobs) understood the rules and were kept safe all day. PRIVATE GROUP TIPS 1. Have everyone sign e-waivers prior to your game day. Adults sign the e-waivers for minors. (Very quick and easy) 2. Have 1 lead to coordinate and pay for everything. $150 deposit when you book, pay the rest on the morning of. Goes much smoother this way if 1 takes care of it all. Figure out your reimbursements later. 3. Treat your referree with respect. As far as you're concerned, the ref is the law for your group for that day. Obey rules, pay attention for safety measures, and be clear when your group is ready to roll or needs a break and how long. 4. Have your own equipment? Don't waste time. Chrono your gun at the chrono station to make sure you're approved. (400 is their cap) 5. Have fun! Since it was tremendously hot (111 degrees!!), we decided to play on the fields closer to the main airsoft area where our tables are. Oh and be sure to get there around 9 AM-ish (they open at 10 AM) to secure some shaded tables. Gives you more time to coordinate your private group and can head over to get everyone registered, paid, etc.at 9:45 AM. Most fun we had was on the field "Viper" - lots of angles, 2nd floor areas, and pretty good field size! Don't have a private group? Not to worry! Join the walk-on group (public) and get ready to have some friendly fun matches. Remember, the airsoft and paintball communities are very friendly and welcoming ones. Don't be "that" guy or gal that ruins the day. Fantastic fields, better than what I remember, and highly recommended for all ages including both rookies and veterans! read more

TLDR They do nothing about cheaters This was my first time playing airsoft. Thanks to this place, it might be my last. One of the first things you see when lining up to sign the waiver is a giant sign listing all the ways to get immediately kicked out. Stuff like shooting someone under 10 feet (rather than saying "bang bang" to indicate that the other person would be hit). Pretty understandable, because these are all centered around safety. The first couple of games were alright. However, at some point, a bunch of airsofters in black shirts showed up. They were consistently ignoring hits, and shooting people 5-6 times in the back. It was so blatant that my entire team noticed. There was also an issue with spawn camping, and specifically shooting people who were clearly out of the game. This was over multiple games. The single ref overseeing the game didn't really do anything other than tell them off. It wasn't until I got shot in the head, while carrying a red rag, at spawn, in front of the referee, who was being told *at that moment* about the spawnkilling problem, that anything actually happened. One guy of the group of troublemakers was removed. That didn't stop the others; in a subsequent game I got hit in the head while holding a red rag above my head at spawn again. That wasn't even the worst part though. In the second to last game, one guy shot me 4 times on auto, from 6 feet away, in the back, while I was walking off the field. He shot like 2 other people in the bunker also from within 5 feet. Again, this is the thing that's supposed to get you instantly kicked out. Yet I saw his group walking towards the last game as I left. The place he sprayed me was stinging for hours. Bottom line is, if you enjoy playing games overseen by a single ref, who won't enforce anything he doesn't directly see, against cheaters who don't care about calling hits or spraying downed people in their spawn, then this is the place for you. If not, find literally any other field. read more

They have TONS of rules but once you're a regular it's an enjoyable place. Everyone is a regular. Tough to figure it out but the players are super friendly and helpful. No full auto, grenades allowed, etc. Some maps are definitely better than others. They change up the rules (infinite respawn, etc) so hard to know how it's going to be that month, but it's reasonable. Turn right or else you end up at the paintball -- which is way more crowded. Lunch. Food car comes around with cheap eats. $32 and stay as long as you want. Slow in between rounds -- they call 10 minutes, but it's 10 minutes until the next call for 5 minutes...3...1. read more

I've been going to SC Village with my son for over year now and really enjoy it and recommend it to any other fathers who want some good time with their sons. Always have a good time, employees are very helpful and most importantly haven't seen any of the "craziness" that I see in some YouTube videos where players act like jerks. All the other players have been great to play with also. Everyone has been very friendly. We got the membership passes so we play on a consistent basis. I like have a membership so going for just a few hours in a day I don't feel like I'm overspending or wasting money. If you are going to play regularily, I recommend going that route and getting a membership. read more

SC Village does a great job! We booked a day for my sons bday and his friends and we were greeted by a super friendly gal working the office. We brought lunch from Chick-fil-A, had it under the tents before our start time and then got instructions on what to do and watched the safety video. Nate then took over and was our 'guide' 'ref' for the remainder of the time. Really liked the different maps (5+fields) and the variety/uniqueness of each. It was a very hot day and after each game we went back under the tents to fill up the air in the guns and get water. Nate was very good making sure there was plenty of water in the dispenser & getting us water from the fridge inside. The bathrooms were super clean and overall we had a blast! As a 1st timer my only wish was that, as an option, proper pants or jackets were available. We rented the gear (helmet, chest armor) but man those balls hurt. The pelts became really bad bruises in subsequent days. Overall, would do again but this time not in 90+ heat, wear padded pants and a heavy-like jacket! read more

Expensive field with terrible management. I've been coming to SC Village for close to 20 years and it just seems to get worse. The park is now exclusively staffed by teenagers. All the maps are falling apart, or at worst, have actual hazards that can cause people to hurt themselves. They can't even run games back to back. The "membership" went from $350 to $550 over 3 years and now they charge $10 on top of that. Go somewhere else, SC Village is just a money grab at this point. read more

My suggestion is to bring your business elsewhere. We drove an hour to play airsoft here. We Paid for entrance and equipment rental. Two hours passed without a single game. The staff was disorganized and disinterested in fulfilling what was advertised here. Staff were all doing their own thing and it seemed we were invisible...they ignored requests for support. I wish things were different however It became increasingly obvious that they were running a shit show and we should leave the facility when a guy with a funny voice said over a megaphone "please do not shoot the bee hive or the multiple wasp nests." So after 2 hours of no games played I approached The "help desk" and asked for refund as there were no services rendered. I did not play a single airsoft game and was not able to use the rental equipment. A kid that worked at the desk referred me to Jesse a "manager" Jesse tried to run off on a 10 min lunch break knowing full well I was waiting. I said that was BS and I guess Jesse decided it was best to speak with me instead of running off for his 10 minute break. When i spoke with Jesse him he couldn't make eye contact. Then a guy playing in a private party came up and asked for a first aid kit and apparently they didn't have one and had to call someone else. See what i mean by shit show? Jesse was useless so i asked to speak with Jesse's supervisor. So I waited 10 minutes to speak to a guy that looked 10 years younger. He actually spoke with me without running away..but kept saying "OK" when I told him I was not happy with the situation and i wanted my money back. he didn't seem to get that it wasn't "OK". read more

Never in my life have I ever had a more incompetent ref for airsoft than DAVID (Asian guy with shoulder length hair, who sounds like a virgin). Me and my friends have been coming to SC Village since the 90's and this visit has really made us consider if we should continue giving SC our business. DAVID lacks common sense and has to radio to ask the dumbest questions the entire time we played and really wasted a lot of our play time due to his incompetence. Having played here since I was a kid, SC Village had always been memorable... until of late. Aside from the rising prices, the quality of the field and staff hasn't seemed to have improved any, but rather deteriorated. The fields are largely littered and trashed with paint and BBs, and SC Viper... just a lot of BBs everywhere on the ground. It's also sad to see that the referees do sometimes play favorites among some of the more veteran players. Another issue being chrono checks, the staff are a bit lackluster when it comes to the chrono'ing of the guns. I've seen several players simply just walk onto the field without a chrono tag, and play throughout the day without every getting inspected. I don't know SC. Just feels like you guys lost the magic. read more

One of the staff told me that I cannot play because my barrel cover is not qualified, and I have to use the cover same as what they sell. I've been playing here with my barrel cover for a year, even today I just finished a few matches, passed field entry check every time, no problem. Then suddenly this dude told me I cannot use that cover. it was the last match of the day and there were only 4 people. Clearly he just want everyone to go home so he could leave early. read more

So this is for all beginners, go somewhere else! So from start to finish this is what my small group of cousins went through. Bought our tickets online package B a while ago, check in wasn't that bad, took around 15 mins. Got our rental guns which fill up to 3000 but 3 guns in our group didn't have an arrow on the gauge and we tried to exchange it for another and the girl just said to fill it up until it won't anymore which resulted in it running out of air on my first match. As soon as we were ready 30 min lunch was called which was around 30 mins so not that bad. First round started and we all got out within 5 mins, sucked but saved some paint balls lol second round we got to the red arch quick and asked the staff for tips with the gun and to help us out with the layout a little but they said good luck cuz we won't last 10 mins with the 3 teams that come here every weekend and they average 15 kills per person every match and I asked if they ever split them up or have them go to intermediate and they said no they go better practice going in on beginners with their magazine paintball loaded guns. So again if you do a private party, spend the extra money you might have a better time but already spending $80 to go against these aholes sucked enough to discourage my cousins to try a difference place where they really have a beginner level. read more

This time, every single round one of our parties' rental guns was broken, jammed, battery died...i mean if you are going to charge me for the rental, at least have decent rental guns! We were overcharged for adding another player with their own gear. I advised the young lady checking us in it was my sons birthday and nothing..not evena happy birthday much less a shirt given( after usdropping $800+ they could give my son a shirt!) Allow me to list the reasons I'll never come back and warn everyone I meet: -wait in line to check in was about 4 people long and took over 30 minutes. -was present and checked in from 11:15-2:15. Played 2 10-15 minute games. -poorly maintained fields, briefing for the first game was in the middle of a wasp nest -unfriendly staff: acted so inconvenienced every time we asked a question. -5 minute breaks are closer to 15 -30 min lunch turned into 45-60. -massively overcrowded and poorly split teams, alpha was probably 30 people and bravo was closer to 80. -HUGELY overpriced. $37 admission fee for 2 games. Left before closing because we were sick of baking in the sun forever between games. -online tickets say $32, in person is $37 -hope you have hard ear pro (that no other field I've been to requires) or you're buying it for $20. -bring tons of supplies, all the BBs, gas, lube, etc are ridiculously overpriced as well. Out of Insight, BattleLab, and Modern Airsoft, I will drive hours to any of those to avoid SC Village Airsoft. Please to save your love of the sport, make sure no first time friends or family have this experience as their opener. If you plan on spending your entire day and only play 4 games through out the entire day, and want to spend an absurd amount on a $37 (admission) and $23 (bbs) be my guest. So expect to spend at least 60 dollars, keep in mind that's not including a rental! Waiting in line to buy a ticket takes roughly 40min - 1 hour. I've been coming here for well over two years, feels as if management has gone downhill, what should be a 30 minute lunch break takes 1 hour, 5 minute warnings are actually 15 minutes, when stepping into the actual field the ref will then take 30 minutes to explain the rules, game mode before starting the game. Bravo and alpha players are poorly split. Someone that should be in alpha is playing bravo, and vice versa. It's been an overall bad experience. This place will try to please everyone, while pleasing nobody. read more

My son had a great time on his 11th birthday. We made a reservation for Paintball public play, group of 12, with only $50 down. We paid for a tent which comes in really handy for group parties. Because of tent our group was able to store belongings, have a cooler, change etc. Our group also took their own balls to play with ;) which was a little less expensive. Also the guys in our group who own paintball guns also took their own guns, this discounted $5/person. First time visitors in our group, were amazed by the numerous fields and their layouts. They all can't wait to go back and play including my son. The only reason I gave review a 4 stars is because referees aren't really that good. My son got hit -multiple times by a full grown adult (who had an automatic paintball gun) at about three feet away on his arm, this left a huge bruise. That guy wasn't called out of the game after the incident. Specifically today 8/27/22 the lady answering phones is extremely rude and seems angry to be having to wok on a Saturday. Me and my friends have called the park multiple times to get info on using HPA systems. We've gotten totally mixed answers from multiple people on your team. You're either all terribly misinformed or you're trying to trick HPA users to come spend money on a ticket without properly informing us what's allowed and not allowed. This already happened to us at your other sister park HWS. Please get some better customer service or hire some kids that don't get upset coming in on the weekend. If I could give a 0 star for wasting our time and having the lady hang up on us I would! read more

The biggest flaw they have and hopefully management sees this and makes a change but right now their procedure is to have you pay admission and then test if your gear to see if it's is acceptable and if it's not you cannot get a refund. Basically I paid for the most expensive chrono test and was asked to leave without a refund. Horrible system. This park is garbage. The staff are either inexperienced or uneducated. I paid full price one day, i met all the parks prerequisites for safe and acceptable play but because my toy gun didn't "look" like a sniper I can't play. They're inability to distinguish this as just a sport with toy guns and not real firearms is pathetic at best. They have a "sniper rule" for certain toys but that toy has to fit real sniper weapon parameters or else you can't play. They refused to refund me my money. It's nice to see how they treat veterans. Again this place would be great with mature well informed and polite employees, until then don't spend the money. read more

Took the kids out for an after-Thanksgiving fun activity at this establishment and did not have the greatest customer experience with the manager at the rental area. She decided to attempt to charge us for a missing piece from the gun that was not properly placed on to begin with. We attempted to explain how unfair it is to give us a poorly maintained gun then charge us when it falls apart due to their own negligence. We did not appreciate her nasty attitude and can only hope that they get better training when dealing with situations like this. Great location but very poorly managed. We had a group of 60 people booked for three hours and we actually played for probably one hour. For as much as you will pay to host your private event there are better options. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

When u plan a trip and drive over 5 hours from another state a sensible person reads the website rules and FAQs so u have no surprises when u arrive. When me and my friends arrive that's all we were met with, they failed to provide any info about bb weight limits and being forced to buy theirs. Also, being told you are in alpha group for the type of airsoft gun u have. The experience at the field was disappointing!! Having no running water to wash hands at the porta-potty's and being told there is restricted benches while not being posted and constantly being harassed through out the day by the chrono guys and manager read more

Worst airsoft spot ever. They take forever to get you through the line and they don't let you know that what the rules are as a first time person. They make you feel stupid for not knowing any of the rules and on top of that they started to threaten to kick us out for somebody else's actions. So to start off this review is only for the night games I attended. Any other time I would Recommend going here. Today I decided to try a night game because it sounded fun and all but after today I dont even think I would ever want to do that again. The refs didnt seem to care that people were using full autos even though they say they are not allowed. Some full autoed me in front of a ref and all he said was it was just a group of them shooting me when you could clearly hear their guns firing at full auto. As well the refs dont seem to care if players dont follow the minimum engage distance at all. As I had a player go full auto at less than 5 feet when minimum engage distance is 10 feet. For games like this they need to have more than 2 refs on the feild to make sure people are following there rules because in the dark 2 refs is not enough. They may have lost a customer forever because of the lack of care they show for their customers and the lack of actual reffing happening. read more

Been coming here for years and it's not as good as it used to be and all the staff have a weird superiority complex. Also not giving lmgs or hmgs any opportunity to fire burst is ridiculous, what's the point of buying unique airsoft guns when your field has this lame semi only policy (when by the way is horrible for AEGs and will break their disconnector quickly) this it leads to the disconnector failing then refs getting angry at people for "burst fire" when it's not even something can be controlled. My new LK33 already had the disconnector fail on me from heavy semi auto use in just a few hours and it would start to 3 round burst at times and the ref would start yelling at me about it. You guys need to really understand players and how the mechanics of an Airsoft gun works before trying to play god and assume someone is breaking the rules and yell at them. Also the Airsoft fields are a sea off BBS and I have seen so many people fall just from running, that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Figure your stuff out because at this point I'm pretty done going to this field. read more
