The team is generally full of well informed and expert opinions that can guide your purchasing decisions. Special shout outs to Ethan who was one of the first staff members I interacted with and have since developed an immense gratitude for his knowledge and service attitude, frequently picking his brain and taking up his time, never making me feel rushed. Additionally aside from Ethan , it's been great getting to know Tyler and Kyle whom also exemplify great knowledge, great service, and general patience for a guy like me with a million questions. The shops selection is insane with your usual popular options and even select harder find options that aren't readily available at other lgs. The team/staff seem to be growing to match their high customer volume ( of which I have had the opportunity to work with through my several purchases ). Also while not directly involved in my purchases with processing paperwork's but often giving approval or influencing the deals that make purchases easy, Aubri has also been impactful and always takes the time to say hello! However, my most recent visit has been frustrating. I dropped off a handgun at the end of November for three services and was quoted 6-8 weeks max. I had planned to attend a training in late February, so based on that timeline I expected to have my handgun back by the end of January. We are now approaching 15 weeks, and my firearm is still not ready. Can't even reschedule my class as the staff has been unable to give me a date each time I've called. I didn't want to leave a negative review because my previous experiences here have been great, but this delay is honestly unreasonable. If I would have known the turn around time I would have skipped on services. A friend of mine dropped off his handgun at a different shop for the same services and had it back within a month. I am paying full price for 2 of the 3 services so I might as well have just taken it to the other shop.. I had a really disappointing experience with this gunsmith. They originally told me it would take a…read morecouple of weeks, but it ended up taking a month and two weeks. I needed them to Cerakote the slide, cut a notch in my grip module for the safety fit, add a trigger, and switch the mag release from the left side to the right. The communication was awful--multiple times I was told different pick-up dates, and they kept pushing it back without any clear updates. On top of that, they lied about the status of my firearm. They told me it was basically done, just needed to be put back together. But when I came in, they were still working on cutting the grip--so it actually wasn't close to being done at all. The lack of transparency was really upsetting. However, I will say, the only reason I'm not giving this a one-star review is that the gun actually came out really well--the Cerakote was nice, and the cutting done to my grip was done very well.

I think it took all of 10 minutes to get the paperwork done, and off I went. 10 days wrapped, and I went for my pickup today. Again, the shop was super chill. Took less than 10 minutes to wrap everything up. Start to finish, the process was painless. Most gun shops are typically not places I'm super comfortable at. They tend to have semi aggressive staff, customers, or both. And they also tend to be very vocal about their political affiliations. VC Armory had none of those things. That alone is going to make them my go to LGS from here on out.

Alex who works the bar was really on top of everything too coordinating food, drinks, and cake. The kids had the private room for 3 hrs and they had a blast, played several rounds, and now want to go back. Thank you Battle Lab for such great service. Warning- there is no a/c in the gaming area, but they took plenty of breaks and iced water was refilled endlessly.
