The only issue I had is the employee mentioned that the next race for my son would be "in about 15 minutes" so we bought several races on the premise of thinking that we'd have enough time to do them all in one night! Well, she lied! We ended up waiting nearly an hour! I was pretty PO'd. However, you can keep the races you bought until next time you visit. Sucks if you don't live close though. In comparison, Ridesmart was a letdown. To say the least, the organization of sessions between every time you go out to the track and head back to the classrooms was not very comfortable. Another thing I noticed that if any of the candidates from level 1 wanted to learn and follow the instructor (follow his tires) on the circuit, they would have to be lucky enough to be picked up from a bunch of raised hands. With the other school I have seen that the every candidate gets to do that one by one for at least 2 laps. As you can tell by now, having too many people enrolled in level 1 is a problem. Furthermore, when you get to the circuit you get around 10-15 mins which means by the time you are on lap 2.5 or 3 the white flag comes up and you need to head back to the classroom. In all, it was a very chaotic experience for me and by the end of the day, I was exhausted and did not feel like I learned anything valuable.

2 Fast! 2 Furious!…read more With Fast 5 coming out, it made me want to relive my high school days. What better place than the Houston Motor Sports Park. This track isn't the 1/4 mile that the Baytown Track offers but it's much closer, and honestly from a watching point of view 1/8 of a mile is all the same. I came here on a friday night and it's like open mic/car for race cars, anyone can race, you run with what your brought. It's interesting cause you get some stock eclipse, some ugly but fast turbo civics, some trucks, corvettes, just basically everything you could think of. I even saw some bikes racing down the drag strip. What makes this place better is that the drag strip is right next to the oval track so on this night the oval track people were practicing for their race on Saturday so you could just turn around and watch one race and face forward for the other one. Gates open at 7 pm but cars don't really start showing up until 8 pm and by 8:30 pm races are constantly running. It's really loud so if you don't like noise bring some earplugs.

We arrived here on a Saturday in Mid-March on a sunny day where the track was filled with vehicles and nothing but sounds of engines and tires screeching. If you're a racing guy or someone who loves cars, then this was paradise. As you pull in here, there's a garage with a bleachers area that oversees the track. The track has some sharp turns making it a fun yet nervewracking experience if you're not familiar with the track. By my second and third laps in the car, I got the hang of it and decided to let it rip. Boy oh boy, I get why people are obsessed with vehicles and engines since the feeling from the acceleration is pure ecstasy from a thrill perspective. Depending what events are here, I encourage people to try this at least once for the experience. It's not cheap so be prepared to spend some cash for the need for speed!
