First time visiting Scampi Grill. It was absolutely delicious. The fish was all so fresh and yummy. I had the shrimp capri over risotto. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the risotto was nice and creamy. My husband had a seafood special which had mussels, clams and calamari. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The service was impeccable and very efficient. When we are in the area, we will definitely be back. read more

Sadly, this is a bad review. Three friends and I had dinner at this restaurant the week of March 1. One of our drink orders was wrong, the kitchen only had one mahi mahi order and one friend needed to substitute. The waiter recommended another fish. When our orders arrived, all were submerged in a rich melange of unrecognizable ingredients. When the bill came we saw there was an upcharge of $16 for the fish the waiter recommended. No one ate more than half their food as it was borderline inedible. There is an up charge for naming a vodka. Undisclosed. Make sure you take NOTHING for granted if you go here. Ask about charges for specials (not posted) and drink charges. The beet salad was good. read more

I've lived in Vero for 8 years, and every time I pass the Scampi Grill say I would like to eat there. Finally, made it! A friend took me there for my birthday, and all I can say is, it won't take me 8 years, if even 8 months to return! We dined on the patio, which gives you the feeling of being in Italy. Our server, Juan, was perfect, attentive, polite and knowledgeable. He also mixed a perfect Sangria and an awesome Peach Bellini. We ordered from the early bird menu, which had at least 8 meals to choose from. I ordered the veal francese and my friend has seafood cannelloni. Both entrees were served with your choice of dinner salad. For dessert, we had the cannolis which were excellent. Went to dinner there last week and I was impressed on a Wednesday night they where full , inside and out side seating . Hostess was sweet and friendly and brought us to our table , and mike came over and introduced us to the restaurant and a great Italian bottle of wine . I had an app and the main course was a special Seafood fra Diablo , I do sell them there seafood so I can tell you it's super fresh and he only wants the best . So service a 10 Dining room a 10 Food a 10 plus plus Menu is perfect size Pricing is super fair and the wines where reasonable so a great place for a family get together. As I say a lot to great places that our family owned go and support them be cause this place deserves loyalty, they earned it ! read more

Really great dining experience overall, I would give Scampi 4.5 stars if I could. It's overall a relatively small restaurant with indoor and outdoor patio dining options. Food quality was really good however, I ordered the house salad to start (complimentary with entree purchase), artichokes for the table (about $10), and the duck sausage pasta for the entree ($22). The salad was good and fresh. I recommend asking for the fresh pepper and cheese on the side to further enhance the flavor. The duck sausage pasta was absolutely amazing. Major kudos to the chef for this one! This extremely flavorful and a must try! Service was really good, our server was really warm and friendly. I think it just needs to be touched up in some areas. For example, if you are checking water glasses for the table, please ensure all members of the table are taken care of. Also, not sure if this was the kitchen or the server, but it took a decent amount of time to get the salad, and the appetizers came way before the salad (probably 15 or 20 minutes or so). Overall I was very impressed with the restaurant and the meal, it was just small things to touch up on to fully make it a 5 Star experience. read more

Delicioso!! Three of us enjoyed a very pleasant and favorable dining experience. The restaurant opens at 4:30 p.m., and you can enjoy happy hour drinks from 4:30-5:30. Martinis and select cocktails are $5 and wines are 1/2 price per glass. We each enjoyed a different appetizer, and every one of them was really good (calamari, bruschetta, and softshell crab). Appetizers are priced around $10-$12. Our dinners were also scrumptious. We ordered the shrimp scampi, eggplant rollatini, and angel hair pasta w/swordfish. Entrees are priced from around $20-$26. Desserts were out of this world and priced around $8.50-$10. I read other reviews where the service was not up to par, but we had excellent service (waiter Mikey) who took time to explain the specials, answer any questions we had about the menu items, and was extremely personable. It was a weeknight, and the restaurant was full, but even with a full dining room it was still a very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere for dining. Strongly suggest you make reservations. As a note: We went back to Scamp Grill on 4/21/22 to have drinks & an appetizer without a reservation. We asked if we could be seated on the outdoor patio since we were not going to stay for dinner. We were told they couldn't accommodate us, which would have been understandable had there been any other cars in the parking lot besides ours and anyone other than us in the place. This was at 4:37 pm on a Thursday. There was literally not a sole seated at any of the indoor tables or anyone seated outside on the patio. I find it fascinating that such a reputable restaurant would turn away business, but that's fine, we left and spent our $50 elsewhere. I have been to this place 3 times now over the past 5 years. Twice at the old location and once just two days ago at the newest location. As an out of towner from Indiana who comes to Vero Beach only once every few yrs this has to be in my top two places to eat out. The new location is convenient and relaxing. It's an Italian vibe with very dim lighting for a more intimate setting. The service is always outstanding. They train their staff very well and they all seem to have a decent knowledge of wine which is basically their jam here at the scampi grill. As for the food well.... I have only had the same dish everytime I come. And there's a reason for that. I've always told people the best dish I've ever had in my life (seriously... I'm not lying) was this dish from scampi grill. It's called the seafood mix. And it is legit to die for. It has shrimp, lump crab, scallops, clams, calamari, fish, all mixed into a delicious pasta with a white sauce. It's so hard to not eat the entire plate but there is always plenty left over for lunch the next day. Then for dessert I had the Creme Brulee. I was expecting a vanilla Creme Brulee but we got a chocolate one. Not really my preference but it was still okay. I will always recommend this place to anyone who visits Vero Beach! read more

Scamp Grill. One of our favorite spots...but We, a party of two, older couple, arrived right on time, no one yet seated on the patio. We were offered a table of two on the back wall! I declined and said we'd like a larger table. The person seating us said - huffily - that was not possible because of the amount of people expected. Instead of graciously bringing us to the best two person table on the patio, we had to eyeball the room, choosing our own place. He was quite dismissive as he dropped the menus and gave us the wait staff's name. Our dinner was delicious. Our wait person was attentive. The only mishap was salad plates not cleared before entrees arrived. Our table turned out to be fine. But the greeter made us feel less than valued. We hope it doesn't happen again. read more

We visited Scampi Grill on a Saturday evening in August. We made our reservation online for 7:00pm. We arrived at 6:40pm and the Host did not show our reservation in their system. No worries, without hesitation he kindly escorted us directly to our seats. What a charming restaurant it is! The ambiance was exactly what we were seeking for celebrating our Anniversary. Our server was Hope and she was amazing! Her memorized menu selections were super helpful along with information pertaining to my gluten free and dairy free limitations. She also recommended a wine pairing for the meal that turned out to be just as delicious as our meals! Her service was impeccable! Went to scampi grill vero beach last night with a large group to celebrate Christmas. We were disappointed with the food. For the price to have "fish with an overly salted gravy". Very sad to spend that kind of money. My husband spent the night in the bathroom. The service was slow but professional with such a large group. If we go back it will be 4 maximum. read more

We long have been fans of Scampi, both in its original location and the present one. Tonight we developed a new appreciation sitting inside the enclosed patio, quiet and uncluttered. The airiness, the scent of citronella, the sight of breeze-bent foliage all enhanced our experience. The food is always excellent. The seafood mix bathed in red sauce, in a generous portion, compels one to slap up every dollop. Make sure that you you call ahead for reservations. This wonderfully comfortable Italian/ Mediterranean restaurant is quite popular with locals and tourists alike. Especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Parking winds around the back of the restaurant so guys, if your ladies are wearing heels, drop them off at the door and park if you don't find a spot right up front. Inside is a very cozy interior decorated with bottles, corks and small pictures. Both tables and booths for inside and outdoor seating. We choose inside for the overall comfort and couples factor in a nice booth. Have the waiter(ess) light the candle for max effect. The menu is full of the most wonderful choices and appetizers. My wife loves the egg plant that is really delicious. If you are a basic salad person you won't be disappointed. We go for the Shrimp Scampi or lemon chicken, pasta is always just right. Our waiters are always on point and never rush you or hover. The wine list allows an ample selection depending upon how you wish to pair it with your food. Had a fantastic meal with a group of six. The restaurant is cozy, but not cramped because our excellent server promptly cleared the table as each new course was brought. We started with the muscles appetizer. I love muscles, and these were fantastic. Perhaps more telling is the member of our group who hates muscles, tried these, and kept going back for more. I had an excellent Caesar salad. It had grated parmesan and a definite garlic flavor. Others had the house salad which they enjoyed. I tried the Veal Cranchio, and shrimp and crab special. Both were terrific. Though the lump crab could have been a tad bigger. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Vero. read more

Hands down THE best restaurant we've been to in Florida! On par with any "high end" place you can think of. Beautiful, relevant atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Absolutely no negatives! Prices are actually really great considering the quality, flavor, quantity, and presentation of the meals. Every detail considered. Even my little side dish of anchovies were presented in a thoughtful star pattern. We thoroughly enjoyed the Seafood Melody, along with tastings from our friends dishes (they're regulars there and kept having us taste other foods). The deserts and espresso were to die for. Add that to the staff! Wow! None of that awkwardness when they approach your table to see how everything is. Only attentiveness. It takes a team of people who love what they do and where they work to create and provide what Scampis has. When you go say hello to Mikey! What a fabulous person. The place had constant traffic. Real Italian recipe and ingredients. My father is from Rome and has been a cook for many years, starting as a pizza man at 14 years old. Back home we only ate out at the same few restaurants he trusted (and some cooked for). He is a self- qualified hard critic to please to put simply. Since he and my mother were coming to town, I wanted to take them somewhere nice to show off Vero's atmosphere and quality as I had just moved to town and awed everything I was coming to know about it. Besides driving past their clean and inviting exterior peeking outdoor seating they also have on my way to work everyday, it was the in-person reviews I got from clients and coworkers when asking around for the best restaurants in town (Mimmo's Scampi Grill in particular) that had me excited and confident to take my parents to. Let's skip to the good part - my mother and I's jaws dropped when we heard my father makes reservations with our waitress for the next night BEFORE THE BILL EVEN CAME - it must've rained in the Sahara that day and a pig must've flown because that was a scene as rare. To say the least, my father saw ingredients that are hard to find and little known used in traditional Roma/italian dishes. Dad, the self-appointed critic, and respectively long time cook, did something common of himself and went to the kitchen to chat with the chef. The chef at Mimmo's Scampi Grill is the son of Mimmo (who can be found working here as well!) and actually spent some years in Italy, learning culinary. And the coolest part of Scampi Grill is not just the incredible original artwork you can find covering the restroom walls, -- but finding out Mimmo himself is the artist of them! Pictures to follow... tables at most 5ft, people in there seats another 2 ft which brings us to your neighbor at 3ft Asked to speak to the manager Who introduced himself as the owner. ( tall young man wearing a mask) who stated " guidelines are being met" yet they kept filling the tables surrounding us. Owners suggestion.. we were offered to change our table. However, he (Manager)and another server (stated he was from the NY State Board of health) was a small business and had to feed their families. ?By putting them at risk?
