Updating my review I don't have a lot to add. The place stayed pretty much the same but this time the tea tasted as if they now use filtered water, so that's a plus. A bit pricey for a cup of hot water and a tea bag though, just Twinings, nothing fancy, at $4,- I ordered the same thing, spinach insalata; baby spinach would have been better with this dish, it was a bit chewy but taste wise good. The service was excellent and we sat at a little table in front in the shade, which was quieter than inside or in the main outdoor seating area. read more

This is my favorite breakfast/brunch place in Vero Beach! The service is always on point - very friendly! The cappuccino with a little cinnamon on top is a perfect jump start to the day! I have ordered sweet and savory dishes here - portions are generous, food is always flavorful. One of my personal favorites is the Heaven & Hell Eggs - a scramble in a spicy red sauce with big chunks of spicy Italian sausage! Served with home fries or grits, and toasted fresh Italian bread. Always our go to for great breakfast. It's worth the price, always delicious. Today I had the pumpkin mousse French toast special. I forgot This is how French toast should be cooked. The thick slices of bread, cooked just enough without overdoing it. The pumpkins mouse wasn't overpowering. Hubby got the country benny which is always his go to when he's not too worried about eating healthy. It comes with biscuits and sausage gravy and their gravy makes it near impossible to enjoy gravy elsewhere. Chunks of sausage and great flavor. Portions sre large. Mimosas are good (recommend the pitcher). It's hit or miss if it'll be a longer or quick breakfast depending on business and who knows what. Cooked to order. We've been in Vero Beach for a month and eaten at many breakfast joints. This was hands down my number one LEAST favorite. I'm still shaking my head wondering what I was served. It's got a cute menu and is different, and I really wanted to like it, but it was also $50 for breakfast, so was one of the priciest. My friend was hungry so ordered 2 entrees, eggs, sausage and potatoes with French toast. The eggs were fine, and the potatoes were pretty good, but the French Toast was inedible. He tried the Fireball Whiskey Apple one, where he thought there would be some kind of cooked apples drizzled on top of the French toast. What arrived was the bread totally saturated and smothered with what looked like chunky applesauce. It was stuffed between the bread, under it and totally saturated on top. It was complete overkill and totally overpowered the dish. A little of that stuff goes a long way, and it was inedible. (The server didn't seem to care that he didn't like it. Didn't offer to change it or remake it.) His 2 plates came out and meanwhile I kept waiting for my dish to be served. This place is very heavy on the meat choices, so if you don't eat meat there isn't much. I opted for something called Spinach Insalata minus the prosciutto. I got a plate of under seasoned cooked spinach and tomatoes with 2 eggs on top and a few toast points. This is breakfast? I had to order a side of potatoes as a plate of cooked spinach with runny eggs is not a satisfying breakfast. The potatoes were just ok. I left almost as hungry as when we got there. Service was not very good. She refilled coffee only once and was never to be seen. There are so many really good breakfast places in Vero. This is definitely not worth your time or money. The food was pretty good. My server was sweet. HOWEVER, the manager was so mean and almost ruined my meal with a friend. I bit into my breakfast sandwich and realized it had no bacon. So I let the waitress know. She went and got some, then I bit into my sandwich again and realized it had the wrong cheese. I immediately told the waitress when I realized. She said they'd make me a new one. I wanted to keep my plate so I could eat my home fries. Apparently that's a crime. The manager comes over says "YOU WANT A NEW SANDWICH AND YOU ALREADY ATE HALF OF THIS ONE??!" I told her that as soon as I realized they messed up my sandwich, twice, I asked for another. I was super hungry so I wanted to eat my side at least that I ordered. 75% of the sandwich was still there, and it's really not my fault they objectively made mistakes on the order. I always have a good meal here and I'm a big fan of their crab cake benedict. Service is always good too. Let me accentuate the few positives. It's a nice atmosphere and very aesthetically pleasing. Now that Ive given them the reason for two stars let me get right down to it. First the service was pretty poor. I don't mind waiting 30 minutes for good food but ours wasn't that good. She ordered a Philly cheesesteaks omelette. While very big it lacked seasoning and flavor. I ordered the Italian Benedict and it was not good. The chef doesn't know how to poach a proper egg as the egg was a hard boiled egg. The prosciutto was extremely salty and the hollandaise was brought out in a portion cup, I actually started getting flush and really warm so we had to pay and leave quick. Price point- for the quality of what we received the price point was high. 5 of 10 Portion size-portions we're excellent. 8 of 10 Quality-the preparation of the eggs Benedict was extremely dissappointing. The corn beef has was good as were the home fries. 3/10 Service: as I said I don't mind waiting for good food or great food. The issue here was the lack of harmony with some of the staff. I heard one waitress complaining about a staff that wasn't there. I know these days it's difficult for overworked restaurant workers but please be careful what your saying around customers. 5 out of 10 I want to say I want to give this place one more try but I need to see some improvement from this Chef to you read more

Stopped in for breakfast the other day. The ambiance is good with a nice covered outside area. That's about the only good news I can report. Here's the rest: Service was only fair. Inside there were only two other people there when we arrived. Those two other folks thought it was cute to have their unleashed small dog walk around the restaurant, sit on table chairs, and be fed from the owners while on those chairs. Not a word from management. If that wasn't bad enough, one of women lit a cigarette and the cigarette smoke permeated the restaurant eating area. Again, no word from management and now 5 more people eating there. I like corned beef hash. This was the worst. Consistency like mushy cat food and bland taste. Grocery store canned corned beef hash is better. Eggs and toast were fine. The place is expensive, the food is not good, and we won't be back. Two stars is generous. read more

It did take about an hour for our food to arrive once we were seated even though it wasn't terribly busy. -Crab cake Benedict was 4/5. Good flavor but I wish there was more of a crust on the crab cakes so there's be textual variation between the soft/velvety egg and the soft/slightly mushy in the middle crab cake. The flavor was all there though. -Smoked Salmon Benedict was a 4/5. Healthy portion, but the English muffin was a little hard. The eggs weren't runny - either because it was sitting in the window for too long or because overcooked. -fried green tomato Benedict was a 4/5. The fried green tomato was delicious but as a replacement to a English muffin or something else, it needed a little more structural integrity -the chunky monkey banana bread French toast concoction was a 7/5. It deserves the highest rating and is an amazing treat to split with the table. If you like sweet breakfast foods, this is a decadent and delicious plate to get. Ordered take out: place is very nice and conveniently located. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good for brunch, hot when we picked up, and neatly packaged. I will def come back and dine in to try other items. Phillie cheesesteak Benny with fries - such great flavor! Portion was small but packed full of meat and mushrooms. The crusty baguette seemed more like sliced bread, and the poached egg was def not poached and slightly overcooked. The fries were lightly seasoned but fresh and delicious. Fancy Pants sandwich with side of homefries - I subbed the sliced bread for a biscuit. This was a great choice. The biscuit is crispy but soft and delicious! The ratio of spinach/bacon/egg is perfect. I would've preferred a bit more hot sauce, but overall delicious! The homefries, though look slightly burnt, were cooked perfectly. Flavor was nice not the usual greasy flavor you can get with these. I opted for cheddar cheese and scallions, soo good. Mini cannoli - unfortunately it was placed on top of the warm bread pudding and melted the filling. But still, a great flavor es cannoli! Mixed berry bread pudding - sooo good, warm, not to sweet and loads of berry. Big piece as well, considering it was 6 bucks! Wonderful little restaurant with amazing Italian themed breakfasts. I had the French toast with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. They were delicious and probably only 1100 calories. Also tried the fried green tomatoes Benedict. They tasted terrific and are good for those avoiding gluten, but I think I'd opt for crab cake Benedict next time. My husband and I each had the Lump Crabcake Omelette today. (One with hollandaise sauce and one without.) Everything was prepared to perfection and served with hot, delicious Italian coffee by a friendly, courteous and efficient server. (Sorry I didn't make note of her name.) Because we are now fully vaccinated, we have recently resumed occasionally eating out (at places that have outdoor seating). This experience could not have been better and we will definitely visit Baci again sometime soon. Part 2 - visited again over the weekend and had the fried green tomato sandwich and the breakfast sandwich. The fried green tomato sandwich was good, but my husband wouldn't order it again. Not a poor reflection on the sandwich - fried green tomatoes were new to him and - would not be a future personal preference for him. This is my 3rd time here and each time I am less impressed. The service is spotty except for Marie who is a doll. This time our server apologized and said she would be back in a minute to take our order... tick tock....20 minutes later and still no return. We flagged down Marie who took our order and expressed it so it came out in a jif. I normally get something with their awesome sausage gravy(which is usually delicious) but I decided on a breakfast croissant and grits. The grits were tasteless and the sandwich was mediocre. My friend ordered the same sandwich as me and it seemed all the peppers and onions made it to her sandwich. Very busy place. As we sat several people walked in and walked out. They share a covered patio with the pizza place next door which was full as well. The service was a little slow but I think it was because the kitchen was backed up. My grits and eggs felt like they had been under a heat lamp for a while. You know how things get a crust on top. Super cute local place. Came here with my mother who ordered the Peasant Grits Pot. She said it was "okay." Needed salt, a little boring. I recommend sticking with the pancakes, benedicts, or special items. I had the chunky monkey and WOW. There was someone at the table near us who had the nutella one and it looked incredible, my mother was upset she didnt order one of their pancakes or french toasts instead. Make sure you also order the cider donuts!!!!!!!!! The service was okay, not that friendly. There was another waitress name Marie who we heard serving the table next to us that was the friendliest. Good little bistro but had some issues. I went there for breakfast and ordered their corned beef hash and eggs. The hash was homemade, which is the reason i went to begin with, but was not ground well enough. It was chewy and fatty. Also I found 3 different human hairs in the potatoes and hash. The staff was very friendly and my girlfriends food was great. For the price ($40 for two with tip for breakfast) it was too expensive and unclean. read more
