Called Scapelli Repair when my Frigidaire refrigerator stopped cooling. Chris came out and diagnosed a failed control board and a bad valve. Quoted me $700 in parts and labor. Told me he was ordering the part and that it would be in on Tuesday. Tuesday came. No call, no text, no part. I reached out and got nothing. I kept texting and eventually got a reply saying it would be another day. That day came and went with no contact either. I reached out again, and again after that. Then nothing at all. No answer to calls, no answer to texts, no explanation. My refrigerator sat dead in the kitchen the entire time. Two weeks of my family living out of a cooler and buying ice while I waited on a part I have no evidence was ever ordered. I finally gave up and hired another company. That technician found the actual problem in a couple of minutes: a refrigerant leak in the sealed system at the compressor. The control board was fine. He also pointed me to warranty coverage I didn't know existed, which is going to save me hundreds. The $700 repair I waited two weeks for was not the repair I needed. Also of note: the new tech said he just cleaned up a washing machine job Chris abandoned. He said Chris left parts all over the lady's house and said he'd be back, but never came back. The one thing that went right is that I never paid anything up front, so I lost two weeks and not my money. I'm not going to guess at why he went silent. Here is what happened. He took the job, gave me a date, missed it, gave me a second date, missed that one, and then stopped responding entirely. My mom paid this company to fix her refrigerator and not only did they not fix her fridge, but have a lack of communication, fail to show up during the times they say they will, they say they would show up and they straight up ghosted my mom and avoided her phone calls. I just read the review from Ashli M. It really mirrors our experience. Wish I'd seen it before we hired this business. I agree about the rating- 0 stars. Chris serviced our fridge in August , replacing the mother board. It went out immediately. He said no problem, it's under warranty. He said he'd order a replacement and call us when it was in. We have called every week or so and he does not respond. Once my husband got him when he called and he said he'd check on that and get back to us. No call back. If he has trouble with his distributor he needs to deal with that. The customer service here is the worst I've ever encountered. Dryer malfunctioned, I called Pearson's where we purchased the washer & dryer. They did not do repairs, but referred Scapelli's. Chris answered right away while in another service call and was able to squeeze me in to an already busy schedule. He was great; was punctual, professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. I have nothing but praise for Chris's ability as an appliance technician. Two ovens in my rentals needed repair. I called yesterday morning and by 4:00 this afternoon they were both working. Most appliance services make me wait at least a week for an appointment. When I made the appointment, he asked for the model numbers of the appliances. He obviously did his homework because he found the problems quickly and was off to his next client. Really bad attitude Came out three times to repair oven On third visit with prepaid parts ordered after prior second visit, I mentioned I was glad he brought in the mat to protect the floor he brought the first time but not the second as there was a scratch on the floor after the second oven removal. The RUDEST, most unprofessional person came to my door. I asked him if he got the photo of model number. He responded, "I'm the technician. I don't get nothing." I said I want to make sure you have part for my model dryer before we begin. He said, "what you want me to just leave?" I said no, I want to show you model number. I held up photo and he ignored it and walked away shaking his head. He comes back and says "yeah, I've got a lotta parts here." I said you didn't even look at the model number. He raised his voice and aggressively said, "Do you want me to do it or not I got other customers!" I told him to leave. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Coming back from vacation and having a broken dryer was really Inconvenient. Chris at Scapelli's appliance came in showed us what was wrong (another company tried ripping us off by saying something needed to be replaced that didn't). Our dryer was fixed on the spot and he even told us how to maintain it in the future. We had Scopelli's appliance come back to fix the air gap issue with our dishwasher and also figure out why it would run for so long. He figured out that there was some type of receptor that was blown. He literally with a toothbrush and a brush cleaned out our whole dishwasher. We haven't used it in five years and we're super excited about having at work again. If you need someone to repair your appliance I would definitely give them a call! Looks like I should've checked these horrible reviews before I decided to call Chris into my home He came out over a month ago and told me that my compressor was bad on my LG refrigerator In the house, he called LG to have them send a new compressor under warranty and told me it was on the way and he would have it installed within a week After two weeks of no communication I sent him a text message asking what's going on and did not get a callback until the next day from his unprofessional Office assistant (Although he doesn't really have an office and he's not a real company and he works out of his house) turns out this was his wife calling me She had mentioned to me that she would call LG and get back to me Once again, no communication and no call back two weeks later I contacted Chris and once again no response from him at all and had his wife call me again saying that they still have not received the part She wanted me to call her back within an hour, and I told her she should call me back within an hour as a professional business should do She did call me back within an hour to tell me that LG had not shipped and they were not going to authorize them to do the repair and then I had to call LG and set it up Once again, this has been over a month with no working refrigerator as they've been stringing me along I called LG and they told me the complete opposite that's not right and that's not the proper procedure and Scapellis has to come out and do the repair and track the part I immediately called his wife back and told her what I just from LG and told her that this is ridiculous and that Chris needs to contact me as a business owner and let me know what's going on here once again very unprofessionally she hung up and said that Chris would call me Whatever you do do not use this outfit there are actual real companies in this area that actually care about their clients As a business owner myself, I must say this is probably the most unprofessional unorganized outfit I've ever seen It's no wonder that they're extremely bad reviews reflect the type of people that they actually are read more

We live in Fulton, CA and the wild fires have been terrible (AGAIN). Our refrigerator went out. We couldn't find ANYONE to come out for at least 5 to 7 days ! Until we called Abby at Scapelli's. Chris serviced our oven, and he was super helpful beyond just the repair. He provided tips on maintenance, including how to properly and safely clean the oven and how to remove and reattach the oven door to make cleaning and maintenance easier. He also showed me how to remove the framing around the oven/microwave combo, in case we or another repair person needs to access the control board in the future. He also explained what exactly he replaced and why. And then he left me with information on my oven's model (that's not included in the manual itself), including error codes, how to calibrate the temp, etc., to help me diagnose and potentially fix any problems that may save me a service call in the future. BEWARE!! This company was booked through my home warranty companion December 2020. it took them 2-3 weeks to come out and inspect the appliances. I figured that could have been the warranty company dragging things out so I let it go. The technician who came out happened to be the owner of the company. He did his inspection and explained what he was going to replace and how he would do it. He then explained that he would be putting extra parts and procedures on the bill so that if the warranty company pays for it he would make more money. one of the appliances he was there to look at was a dryer that was not functioning. It turned out to be the outlet was not wired correctly and had nothing to do with the dryer. He billed the warranty company saying he replaced a module in the dryer. That was a total lie. He said he would order the rest of the parts and id hear something in a week or so. About a month later I got a letter from my warranty company stating that there were "uncovered items" in the repair bill. He had billed $700 for a special device to lift my fridge and range. Neither of them needed to be moved. When I finally got to talk to him he stated that he just put that in the bill and if they paid it he would have made more money and it didn't need to be done so I wouldn't have to pay it. For the next few months I would call him every couple weeks and leave a message and would never receive a reply. Finally he hired someone to answer the phone and she would say that she told him to call me. Today May 4th 2021 I finally got her to call him on a 3way call so I could talk to him. He was very upset that I called him out for not calling me back. He said "I own my own business and don't need to be told when to call someone back." I then explained to him I am just trying to get my fridge working and if the parts he is waiting on were "extra" parts that was using to run up the bill I did not need them I just need what fixes my problem. He then said he was cancelling the contract with the warranty company and hung up. He then called the warranty company and told them I was the problem and he could no longer work with me.
