The Studio is always tidy, and the staff is always helpful and kind. The classes are great regardless of your level of fitness; there is something for everyone! I have taken at least one class with every instructor. They all bring something different to the table. Of course, I have my favorite instructors - should out to Josh and Natalya! But every single instructor is truly great! Prior to joining, staff thoroughly explained their scheduling and cancellation policies so there are no surprises. I was new to Pilates so she was really great the first class since it was only four of us she was able to pay a little more attention to my form etc which was very nice of her . I was impressed with how sore I was the following day , I work out 5-6 times a week with a trainer but this class really focuses on all those hard to reach areas like inner thighs , core . The studio is beautiful and very clean , the staff is warm and welcoming . I travel all the way from the north shore of Long Island to join these classes , that's how much I enjoy them ! It's been six months now since I started I go to class twice a week and I feel like a new person compared to when I first got here Melissa is an amazing teacher with so much knowledge and experience.I have found it hard to find any exercise that didn't hurt my back both prior and post surgery but since I've started practicing Pilates I've found my pain decrease and my strength and flexibility increase greatly and I have no intention of stopping practicing now.

Love this place…read more Pilates is a tricky sport as it actually becomes harder as you progress. Those new to fitness will feel the burn after your first class but for more athletic people, it takes a while to find proper alignment and really engage those muscles. You know you found it when your thighs start crying. Everyone who works there has been super nice and all have a good sense of humor. They are very helpful, good at observing detail and nobody's mean if you can't do the pose 100%. The clientele have a sense of camaraderie, rather than competition. Great studio.

She's fantastic!…read more I am not someone who loves to work out, yet ever since I started going to Rei Pilates a few months ago, I find myself coordinating my calendar around how many times I can get there in a week. Something about the tone and vibe of the place (and Rei herself) is energizing. The workout is awesome. I've take pilates at numerous other studios and Rei's classes are the best. Her techniques and moves are fun, efficient, and effective. She switches it up and has you do just enough reps where you feel it working without pushing it to be painful and unpleasant. I've seen more results going to her classes for 6 months than I have in years of going to other studios. And she plays great music which makes the time fly by! The studio itself is clean, modern and bright. She has the new reformers which are sleeker and easier to use than the chunky older ones at other places. (She also stocks the cutest athletic clothes, which are fun to browse after a good workout.) Highly recommend!

I also brought a girlfriend from out of town who's been taking pilates classes for years and she loved this one! Rei was very patient and very positive and provided me with information about how I should modify certain exercises based on my (hopefully temporary) physical limitations. I never want to set foot in the place again and they refuse to refund my money. It is also very difficult to book classes unless you have an unlimited membership. When you complain about this they are very rude and say "it is like that everywhere". If you can't book classes without an unlimited membership then that is all they should offer.

I joined 3 months ago and feel stronger thanks to 2 excellent instructors. Now, why do I give it…read moreone star? I have a few physical problems and need modifications. One instructor, Dorothy, has put me down for modifications that other instructors have taught me in private lessons. So I use them. She put me down before the class, so I emailed the owner. NO ANSWER for two weeks. She said they gave sensitivity training. So today, I took one of Dorothy's classes for the first time since then (I had no choice away for the next few days, and there was only one there today), and the same thing happened. Today, she told me I was doing everything wrong in front of everyone. She also rolled her eyes at me a few times. I am in my 50s and have problems, maybe more than most, but I should not have to feel embarrassed. I realize it's a business, and money comes first, but they need to have this sensitivity training and not just say they are. So, if you have any ailments of any kind, be careful which class you go to or go to another pilates place that trains their staff on sensitivity.
