They have several trainers; you can sign up for a package for 3, 8, etc sessions and work with a trainer that you choose. Their trainers also lead daily classes, so you can continue to work with them, outside of personal training sessions as well.

The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and offers a range of services like a large fitness area with tons of cardio machines, weights, and strength training equipment, two bathrooms & lockerrooms, and saunas (my favorite to do after class), and variety of classes. Plus there optional add-ons at $ to enhance your wellness routine. There is also a hair salon, nail salon, and smoothie area, daycare, and more to meet women's needs. My favorite classes are Monday's Core & More and Thursday's Body Shred Bootcamp led by Sam. She brings the kind of energy and intensity I've experienced at top NYC studios and is incredibly kind and relatable. If you need to make adjustments to the workouts, she's always willing to help and accommodate. Her classes have upbeat music and a motivating atmosphere. Sam's positivity, energy, and engaging style make each workout fun and challenging, which is what I'm looking for. I've noticed a big difference since taking her classes and look forward to them every week. Jessy's yoga classes are another highlight, providing a peaceful, calming experience that's perfect for unwinding. Enilida also leads some good HIIT and bootcamp classes as well, plus I believe belly dancing has been added for a fee, which is cool. My minor recommendation for an opportunity to improve would be to balance the class instruction in both English and Spanish (including the music) so it resonates with all attendees, as most of the class is currently in Spanish. A slightly faster pace might help it feel more like a focused workout, as it can sometimes lean towards feeling like a social hour for some. Regardless, I've still gotten a good workout and appreciate that she's very nice, kind, and funny. I still need to try some of the other classes like cycling and Wednesday bootcamp. There is a lot of Zumba too (like everyday) for this who like that, personally it's not my preferred style as I lean towards high intensity, Bootcamp type classes. It'd be great if at some point the team considered adding boxing/kickboxing class or just a boxing bag to the floor (since it's noted on the website). They also offer hot yoga and a few other classes at cost. Hot HITT could be fun too! Overall, it's a fantastic all-women's gym. The current membership skews a bit older (Gen-X, Boomer) and there's nothing wrong with that, but there's great potential to attract a younger crowd (Millennials like me & Gen-Z) as well through the type of classes. Highly recommend Hourglass Wellness for women looking for a supportive and fun workout environment. Staff are very nice at the front desk and all the trainers so far that I've worked with have been awesome. Thanks team!

A friendly…read morerecommendation led me to Pole Position Dance Studio located in White Plains, just a few store fronts down from Mario's Pizza on Mamaroneck Avenue. For starters, the booking process was seamless. There were multiple packages to choose from, whether you just want to try out a class or fully commit. I also had no idea that they offered more than just pole! Some of their classes include Street Heels, Metamorphosis (which is a pole-less class; just straight dancing), and a stretch class! For transparency, I've never took a pole class in my life. While nervous going in, you can't help but immediately feel welcome. The owner of the studio, Taylor, was quick to greet me and the front desk girl, Jules, was as kind as could be! I can't even tell you how much fun I had at this class, and I wasn't even any good! Everyone in the class, not just the instructor, was so supportive and I quickly realized that this was more than just a class. It was a community. I loved it so much that the next week I invited one of my besties to join me! It was such a blast and I can't wait to book my next class!!

My instructor was very nice (Jill) but it felt very rushed especially for a new student coming into the a barre studio for the first time. At the end of the class Jill and the desk person tries to pressure you to buy more classes, which is super annoying. I just took my second class today hoping it would be more organized and paced well. I signed up for a 5:30 class and showed up exactly at 5:30. When I walked in the class had just begun, but the front desk woman reprimanded me and said with an attitude that if I was going to be late I should have called ahead and that people my age seem to always be late to everything... BIG turn off. The class was just okay. The pace is rushed, and it feels like the instructor is just trying to get you to do as many combination of movements as possible in 45 minutes. The class was also jam packed, there was not enough room for everyone, they should definitely make a maximum guest policy to avoid this. Won't be coming back. Some of the workers (especially the front desk older woman) acts like they are high and mighty just because they work at a well known fitness club. There are so many BETTER local barre and fitness studios nearby that are personable and friendly!

Absolutely horrible. The front desk workers, especially the older/middle aged woman with red hair is extremely rude. She is very demeaning and makes you regret walking in. The best way to describe this customer service is that they believe they are better than you, unfortunately. The workout itself. I would give it a 7/10. It is a decent workout, if you are new to barre or pilates you will feel the burn. However is it worth the price, no not at all. I could easily find a YouTube video with the same type of instructor and complete the same workout at home. The instructors kind of just move through the motions. There is no "let's go!" energy, there is no hands on or verbal support to fix postures to limit injury, and there really is not much of a personable experience. If you are looking for a GREAT, personable, individualistic barre class this is not where you should go. Literally more than half the class is lost and not sure how to fix their form and it's very unfortunate to see. I highly recommend THRIVE barre in Pelham if you are looking for an awesome high energy motivating class where you will be helped all areas. I was very sad to be let down by pure barre, as it is so close to my house. I will not be returning and I really recommend that you look elsewhere.
