If I could give a rating higher then 5 stars to Schlicher Orthodontics, I absolutely would. From my daughters first visit 1.5 years ago until she had her braces removed last week, they have impressed us with their professionalism and consistency. My daughter was very nervous to get braces but they made the experience positive for her by answering every question she had, talking her through every part of the process and being honest about the timeline. Their office is incredibly clean and modern, every employee is friendly and polite and they used positive reinforcement to help her remember to floss and use her rubber bands(rather then berating her). Dr. Schlicher takes a few minutes after every single appointment to let the adult/parent know how the process is going and inform them of the next step. On the day her braces were removed they gave her a gift bag with popcorn, gum and sparkling cider to celebrate. Dr. Will is the best orthodontist in the Bay Area. Dr. Will took care of my two boys who need to get braces for crowding, overbite, and underbite. Thank God that I have found Dr. Will since I heard stories from other parents that their orthodontists were not very honest, hard to schedule for appointments, and pushing them to get treatments.....etc. Dr. Will is extremely intelligent who graduated and received training from top universities. They got points from taking care of their braces, arrive to appointment on time, brush their teeth before their appointment, etc... they can use those points to get gift cards of their choice. The staffs at Dr. Will's office are also amazingly helpful , welcoming, and friendly. The office is like a five star hotel, very bright, clean, neat, comfortable, relax, and fun environment. It's easy to schedule an appointment and the staffs will answer your questions (billing, questions about braces) in detail. There's also no surprise charges. They will give you the treatment cost up front and they offer different payment plans options. I also saw Dr. Will takes his time out of his busy schedule to support the schools and communities. Dr. Will's orthodontic practice is top-notch. Dr. Will is the friendliest guy you'll ever meet! Kids love him! His staff is also super-friendly and professional and their new office is beautiful and inviting with state-of-the-art technology (I was impressed by the mouth scan - no more gloopy mouth molds that make you gag!) Recently, my daughter unexpectedly had to see Dr. Will even though she is done with braces and is on maintenance with a retainer. Our puppy chomped on her retainer. (Apparently, dogs find retainers irresistible, so keep those retainer cases closed, folks!) We got her in for an appointment quickly and Dr. Will was able to salvage the retainer- yay! What I thought would be a costly retainer replacement turned out to be quick, painless and free! My 8 year old son completed his orthodontic treatment yesterday. It was a short, easy and even pleasurable 6 months that I was dreading as he is very anxious with dental work. Despite throwing a few challenges their way, the whole team did a great job of calming and helping compassionately with the nervous and occasionally uncompliant scared little human who wanted to have treatment - but was terrified. Having had a terrible unethical experience at a different practice in the area with my other child I was doubtful that I could find a service locally that I could trust, who wouldn't over treat or pressure us; but I did. My kids have been going to Dr Schlicher now for about 5 years between the 2 of them so this review is long overdue. My daughter started out with a palate expander in 5th grade as her upper palate was too narrow making her have a cross-bite where her side teeth did not line up. After that was done we waited a bit & then she had her braces put in. Now braces are no fun...they are expensive especially when you don't have insurance & they are a pain in that they are uncomfortable & hurt sometimes plus all the appointments you need to go to so they can be checked to make sure all is ok, updated etc. However, Dr.Will & his entire staff have always made it be the best experience it could possibly be. Appointments after school for the short ones, no long waits to be seen (ever...in 5 years!) They have been caring when it hurts & let us come in to make sure everything is correct, giving advice to use wax etc, trimming off a piece of wire when the teeth moved faster that expected so was poking out. They have done an emergency visit after hours for us, they've checked my daughter's teeth after she had a bike crash after her braces were all done with & gave directions how to fix her teeth that moved from the crash & did free follow-up with her to make sure they went back in place. They are still following up on her every few months to make sure all is correct. My son's braces have been a much less dramatic experience but still I have been so happy with his treatment. They fixed his underbite & his teeth are almost done after less than 2 years. They really care about their patients & always have their goal to be perfect teeth no matter how much extra work or time for them it is to get there. They have made payment plans that worked with my budget. They are fair with appointments making the long ones only available during the day so more kids who need short appointments can have appts after school. They come in early on Wednesdays so kids can come in for quick appts before school starts on late start day. I have really appreciated Dr. Will & all his staff for their friendliness, helpfulness & care for my kids. What a great experience I have had there. read more

Yes, he's as good as they come! Having just finished up braces with our youngest, I was blown away when a thank you note arrived in the mail the next day. Fully expecting it to be from Dr. Will, I was floored to find it had been written by none other than our son. Apparently part of the graduation ceremony includes writing a note to your parents, the financiers. Written on their stationary and mailed by their staff, but composed entirely by the patient. Our "entitled" kids need more of this these days. Dr. Will knows what it takes to tap into the teens and impress their parents. I highly recommend him and his staff. read more
