I picked up my new Honda Accord last Thursday and for the most part everything was great and easy. This was my 6th vehicle from Honda City! John Billman was great and helpful! Bill McCulley got everything approved right away at a payment I wanted! Ivan Greiner was very helpful and knowledgeable! My only issue and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I don't believe my car was actually cleaned. There was dirt and mud still on my tires as they were the day before. There was mud and dirt on the pedals. There were scuff marks on the drivers door and kick panel. There was residue from the window stickers still on the window. Just kinda disappointing. Husband leased a Ridgeline. The sales associate did the bare minimum, granted my husband knew what he wanted. Separately we leased a Pilot 6 months later and my sale associate did a great job, it was finance that took the longest. Fast forward to 3 years later and my husband's lease ending. His sale associate reached out about getting him in a new vehicle etc. Husband said that he needed a larger vehicle that Honda doesn't offer. Radio silence from sales associate. Not even "understand, thanks for your business". We followed Honda Financials guidelines for turning in the vehicle--inspection, return car to a Honda dealership with return receipt that both parties sign and have mileage on, the dealership is to submit that, and we call Honda Financial to let them know the car has been returned. Now we're being charged $1300+ (2 more months of car payments for a car we returned 2 months ago) because dealership says they don't have the car. The receipt proves that wrong and Honda Financial is resolving on their end. We send a letter saying it's disappointing and infuriating that this happened and it's not a complicated process. It's never happened with any other car we leased Honda or not. We hear nothing from the dealership. So for pretty basic sales attention and a huge hassle returning a leased vehicle, we'll find somewhere new when my lease is done. read more

Bought my car here and was happy with the purchase, except for the fact that after agreeing on the car it took a long time for finance department to be ready to meet with us. Sales team was great, but the finance took forever to be ready for us to come to their office. By a long time, I mean to say we were there from 4 pm until after they were closing... which felt like forever with a one year old in tow (especially messing up meal/bedtime). If they were closer, we probably would have come back the next day to finish the purchase. We selected this dealer to get a Costco discount, and because they were able to find the model, trim and color of our choice much sooner than other dealers in the region. FAst forward to the first service with them (complimentary oil)... they kept telling me to wait until the light went on and then, as soon as the light went on there was a 10 day wait to get it serviced. So I came for their "fast lane" non-appointment time slot. I was told be there first thing in the morning. Well, at 7:05 am, it was a two hour wait. The first 45 minutes of the wait they had my car RUNNING in the waiting zone, wasting gas. It was really frustrating. They called for a survey three times and even emailed me. I did give them feedback via their phone survey, with a lady who sounded like she worked onsite. Hopefully, they fix their waiting protocols. read more

I bought my Honda from a dealership in a different state about a year ago. I brought it in to Schlossmann Honda for my oil change, and let me tell you what! These guys are so freaking nice. I always get nervous coming to a dealership. I don't know much about cars, and you always hear horror stories about being talked into services you may not actually need. That is not the case here. John was so great about talking through my options, what I need now and what I may need in the next coming years. I feel like they are very transparent and honest. When I was in the hunt for a new car last year, they were also super helpful. They just didn't have the exact car I wanted so I went out of state. The next time we are in the market for a new car, this will be our first stop. I will also be back here for all my car needs. Took our Honda in for extensive service. Over $3K spent. The next day, my wife sensed something very wrong with the car. They had misinstalled wheel bearings and there was a horrid vibration. The car was clearly not safe to drive. During that appt, one item that was skipped was fixing a power window because they needed a part. So we scheduled it a couple weeks later. Made the appointment on the phone, with my wife reminding them of the need to order the part. We got, no lie, over ten appointment reminders via phone and email. Appointment was today. Wife brings the car in. After half an hour, they tell her the part was never ordered and sent her home. It's shocking that any business can survive with this level of incompetence. read more

All of their employees are very friendly and have great customer service. We purchased our cars here and I was back because a part on my car was recalled so they needed to put in the new part. It was easy, I pulled into the service center and someone greeted me at my car and then took me inside to go over the paperwork. They said it would take most of the day so I had requested a rental car. I just had to show my license and proof of insurance and signed some paperwork and then I was off. Everything went relatively quickly. I do recall when we purchased our cars the service felt slow and the whole process took a ton of time. For service appointments I've had better experiences. I dropped my car off at 8:30am and they said they would be done by 4pm. They were in contact with me throughout the day by text. I hadn't heard from them in the afternoon and was hoping to pick up the car sooner. After sending 2 texts I got a call about an hour later that my car was ready. It was 3pm so they were an hour ahead of schedule. I would have appreciated a faster response/communication but overall fine with the experience. I pulled in to drop off the rental car and someone pulled my car around and I was on my way in a few minutes. Whenever they service cars they provide a complimentary car wash which was nice. My only complaint was that when I got my car back my steering wheel had been lowered. It's always hard to figure out exactly where it was before. read more

My vehicle technician, Santos, supplied a video which I was able to view at home on my phone. It showed not only the work he did today but what needed to be done in the future. This review pertains to the service center only. I cannot speak to the sales side. The service rep was mostly courteous and friendly, but there was a strange breakdown in communication. I do not believe anyone I spoke to understood my initial concern that there was an excessive gas smell in the oil. Very quickly into the appointment they demanded more than $1,000 in service items not related to the initial problem. Keep in mind, this is a Honda with less than 20,000 miles. I get a call back in a reasonable amount of time, and was told they could not find a gasoline smell outside the vehicle, didn't check for the gasoline smell in the oil, but I MAY need a new PCV. The estimate was approximately over $1,100. Now we are estimated at over $2100+, and without a known diagnosis of the gasoline in the oil. There was no gurantee the new PCV would resolve my issue, just "90% sure". Due to the high cost and incomplete diagnosis, I called back to get an explanation if anyone checked my oil. The rep, frustrated with my questioning, interrupted, and said I had "an attitude problem" when I was just trying to explain my concerns to him. Honda City did gracefully retract the diagnostic fee, but after noticing these red flags I would not consider returning. I took my vehicle to another local Honda dealership and not only did they listen to all my concerns, respond courteously, knowledgeably and professionally, their estimate was HALF for the SAME repairs, plus it included additional diagnostics Honda City dismissed. I don't mind the upselling, but to outright price gouge people is demoralizing. Shop around for the best price and service. read more

I am posting this review as a safety measure for future customers. I went in on Monday and had my oil changed/tires rotated in preparation for an upcoming road-trip (that is now postponed due to this experience)... yesterday I was driving home from dinner and my car started making a loud noise/shaking. I pulled over and all 5 nuts on driver side wheel had flown off. If I hadn't pulled over when I did, my tire would have flown off and I could have been in a terrible accident. I had to have car towed to dealership. Unfortunately the dealership is not open today so I need to wait another day to deal with the problem, and to see what other damage was done as a result of this. read more

This is the first "big girl" purchase my sister made by herself and these two handled it perfectly. From the start of the car buying process they would not tell us any numbers during the process, when we finally got to the finance office is where we finally were able to discuss the numbers on the car and the payment. The numbers worked and it was the specific model, color, and trim we did the deal. We were promised a replacement front floor mat that was missing when we purchased the car. After many calls and being promised a full set of all weather mats for inconvenience we never received them. We finally got some satisfaction (by getting a cargo cover since we already purchased mats) when we went back to look at another car to purchase and mentioned we were not really wanting to buy from them again because of the last experience but they had a vehicle we were interested in. The cherry on top was when we went back for a warranty issue (a little over 12000 miles) and were told we had to pay even though I called Honda USA and they said it would be covered. The service manager told us that it was not covered under the warranty because they didn't have to replace any parts. He said that if we "complained a lot" he might be able to call Honda and see if it would be covered. Since I called before we picked it up and had a case # they reluctantly didn't charge us. Unless they have a specific car you are looking for there are WAY better Honda dealers out there to deal with. read more

I wish I could give this place a negative star!! The worst experience I have ever had. This was the first time I purchased a new car off the lot! I went to this place the first week on May 2022. I was looking to purchase a Honda Civic sports 2022! I was told that the dealership didn't have any new Honda Civic on the lot. I sat down with one of the workers I was told a Honda Civic would be at the dealership by the third week in May. I told the worker that I couldn't wait past that time frame but I didn't have any transportation to/from work! He ensured me that the car would be there by the promise time. Not only did I have to wait for the car to get to the dealership but I also I to put a $1000 hold for the car (I was told if I didn't want the wait for the car any longer I would not be refunded the money I gave to hold the car). On May 18 2022 my husband spotted the car I was waiting to come in was on the dealerships website! So he called and they told him it was a mistake and they would take it off the website! I called and asked if they had Honda Civic and they stated on just came in! I told my husband he called them again to ask what was going on with the car! I am making this review on behalf of my father, Mark. The attached image showcases an email sent by my father to dealership & regional service staff to call out shameful business practice conducted by this dealership's service team. The detail can be found in the attached email, but in a nutshell, the scenario presents an evolving/ever-changing story on behalf of the service team as my father pushed for more information after being presented with a supposed initial diagnosis by engine code that his CRV engine needed replacement (due to supposed timing belt/chain jump and cylinder/piston damage). In the end, no engine code was never thrown. No timing belt/chain jump ever occurred. No cylinder/piston damage was ever present. No new engine was ever required!! (all confirmed by a third-party shop) This real story only came out as my father pushed for added information and had his vehicle towed from Schlossmann Honda over to a an independent shop for a second opinion. Is there still something wrong with the vehicle that requires some sort of service? Yes. But that said, it sure isn't a $6800+ used/new engine replacement as quoted by this Honda dealership team. Had my father not been informed and pushed for added information, this shameful business tactic may very well have succeeded with certain people that may not have been as informed. Through all of this, not only did this dealership try to sell a new/used engine at a price tag of $6800+, they also tried to sell my father a new car as a possible means to 'solve' the issue the car was brought initially brought into service for. I did get an email from one of their sales reps pretty quickly saying "great, come on down and pick a color". I replied, letting him know I didn't want to spend a lot of time at a dealership and preferred to do everything ahead of time (as much as possible). I mean, who really goes in and sits through the whole "oh, let me talk to my manager" thing anymore? Anyway, they never replied to my email, so I guess they didn't want to sell me a car. Love love love this place! I slid into a curb in the snow and had my 2016 HR-V towed here a few days later. That same day I was able to sign a contract on a new CR-V after trading in my damaged HR-V. At this point we didn't even know for sure what was wrong with it but they gave me a fair value and covered all the service costs, including the tow and rental until my new vehicle arrived on the lot almost 2 weeks later. On top of that, everyone I talked to there was professional and courteous. They treated me as if they really appreciate my business. And on top of THAT, they have a very impressive, state of the art service department. I'm thrilled with my car, and my car buying experience. Was promised $100 off my new vehicle since it was the 1st Honda I have bought, not true, no $100 discount. I asked salesperson twice during my time there about 1st responder discount, got some trickery answer about it, 1st made it seem like it was a possibility, then changed his tune when asked about it again. I am an RN in acute care who has VOLUNTEERED to work on a designated Covid unit since this whole thing began around late March. I told him this. How does this not qualify as a 1st responder? Yeah, we are 'heroes', but not when it comes to the incentives with buying a new vehicle. It goes against their voracious appetite to maximize their profits. I did a trade in of my old vehicle and got about $2,000 less than what numerous websites have valued it as on the very low end of the estimates. Yes, I have a new car and it is beautiful. Yes, I share responsibility in that I should speak up for myself when it is appropriate during the very intimidating process of dealing with people who are trained to basically rob you blind. But, this is the thing, I didn't try to haggle anything whatsoever about final price, so at least please meet me halfway, please be proud to offer me a 1st responder discount that you advertise, because as a company, you should maybe say a sorta 'thank you' for doing what you have done for our community. I am at least glad that I do not have to buy another vehicle for many many years. It is a pathetically slimy experience. read more

He was supposed to email the purchase agreement; I waited two hours. I called back and spoke with ... Chris - New Car Sales Manager - He kept talking over me and cutting me off. He took the bank info and my contact info at 2pm. I called the bank at 350pm and his email arrived at 4pm so I think the bank called him and he remembered to do what he was going to do in 5 tightaway at 2pm. The last three times I had a problem with my service. First time they forgot to replace my antenna. Second they forgot the antenna and to reset the tire pressure. Third time they forgot to reset tire pressure after waiting 75 min for a tire and oil change (had an appointment). Three strikes you're out. After the second time, I called to complain they assured me they would talk with staff to rectify the situation. Fast forward four months later, happens again! The service manager was not apologetic at all. He didn't even ask if I knew how to reset the light. I was in the market for a new car- will not be going here. Paying for a dealer oil change should not mean I have to reset the tire pressure light every time. If they can't remember to reset a light what's to say they are remembering to tighten my tires etc. Seems like they overbooked for today. Despite, it taking FIVE days to get in for an oil change and rotation during the week. Also, it took 20 minutes to get ahold of the service department. The phones kept ringing and ringing. read more

I have been taking my 2007 Honda Accord here for a while now. Never had any problems with staff until going to buy another used car. Every car had some sort of damage to it and it wasn't listed in their car fax accident report. Then once we decided on a car we realized something was broken on the car. Our sales guy was very helpful in finding us a car. But as soon as his manager came over all our problems began. Instead of the manager giving us a discount on the car we were hoping to buy or fixing the car, he decides to go out into the lot, bend the broken piece back into "place" and say "the clip fell out". He lied straight to our faces. Eventually our sales guy told us that instead of his manger fixing it, the manager just decided to lie. So don't buy a used car from here because they don't list all the damage or accidents they have been in. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. I built the car I wanted on Honda.com and requested quotes from local dealerships. They emailed me saying they could get me a Black Friday deal if I show up within 30 hours. I did. They did not honor my deal because they didn't have the car I requested in stock, causing me to pay $1200 more. I selected $12 cargo hooks online, where the picture shows 2 hooks. This dealership charged $45 and I only got 1 hook. They also for got to install it so I needed to make another appointment to come back again another day after already spending 5 hours there. My trade in was worth at least $700 on kbb for trade-in value but they offered $300. They told me my credit was good but offered 4.99% when there were signs all over saying 1.9% financing available. Do not deal with these sharks. They make their profit by taking as much money from their customers as possible. I need to find a new job because of how much more I'll be paying for this car. If I could return it and do it all somewhere else I would. There are more problems I had that I decided not to include because I would be writing for another 15 minutes. Update: I recently graduated college, so while I was talking to the salesperson I asked about the $500 rebate for a recent grad. The salesperson told me I could bring in my transcripts within the next 6 months and get $500 off the total of the car. I ordered my transcripts, brought them in today, and now they're telling me that only works if you finance through Honda. They'll say anything to get the sale, and won't tell you about the hidden conditions until you try to take advantage of them. This business is the shadiest I've ever dealt with. read more
