He cut the no frills of other service department run around and made recommendations for service with real authentic feedback. He also did extra digging to ensure previous work was documented. I appreciated the honesty which keeps my business even trying to ensure I was getting the best pricing. They also have a great waiting area for getting work done along with snacks and drinks. Salesperson was very helpful and upfront, just watch the numbers and what you are paying for. Still a new owner. I haven't had to deal with service department. Hopefully that won't happen too soon. We did run into a problem, it seems that the $500 I put down as a deposit to hold the vehicle wasn't added to the total down payment on the bill of sale. I noticed this two days later and went back to the dealership and was told it was a mistake and that corporate would get a check in the mail (still waiting 3 weeks later) there were a few items that were going to be added to the vehicle at no cost per the sales manager as a condition of the sale as he didn't want to lose the business. The items were added to the vehicle but the price wasn't adjusted right away I noticed this discrepancy and it took a bit to get it straightened out. Came in for a scheduled oil change. It took 95 minutes during that time three people came and went and got their oil change and one even got tires rotated. When I asked what was up, they cheerfully said they had no idea they had their best mechanic doing that oil change.. Car was supposed to be returned to washed, but instead was unwashed. I had a ton of issues w my 2018 Hyundai Sonata. I was told by Hyundai to take it to Amato on Port Washington. Their service dept (Shelly) told me I needed a engine knock sensor done before they could do anything on my vehicle. That was almost $900.00. I called National, explained EVERYRHING. They said they could do it for close to $200. Now my car was not able to be driven so I was towing it to these places. National called Amato because they left paperwork in my car then told me they couldn't fix it and to take it back to Amato. Now at this time I'm out almost $500 bucks for 2 places to do nothing. My husband told me to take it where I bought it, Hyundai West Allis. I wish I would have taken it here first. I worked with Craig in services. He was WONDERFUL! He found all my warranties for me. I needed a new engine and he went to bat for me because Hyundai didn't want to pay for it. $6400 plus the knock sensor, he got covered for me. He also got me a free oil change since I got the new engine. All I paid for was a tune up and a new battery, and he found discounts for me. He put me in a loaner and I didn't have to ask. I was devastated thinking about if I needed a new car ect. I'm so happy to had worked with Craig. I will forever be a Hyundai West Allis/International Autos shopper and promoter. read more

Bought a used car from them and by the time I got home (an hour away) and restarted the vehicle it was making a weird noise. My husband is a mechanic and looked over the car before we left and they agreed to replacing a brake light that was out but then he found out it was a timing chain issue. When he called them back the next day, the manager said he was out of town and to bring the car back when he would be back the following a Monday. Today he brought the car in and they told him they never said they would look at it and that they charge $280 for that. He said ol let me call my wife as its my car. They told him just to get the fuck out. As he was leaving they also said his broke ass didn't have money to take them to court anyways. read more

DO NOT BUY OR FIX A CAR HERE! Terrible! HYDUNAI 2014 engine replacement/transmission fail Got an engine replacement due it to exposing.. recalled after 2 years. They put it in. They didn't put the bumper back in and refused to fix it. Had to get the tech guy to do it after showing pictures. That it did not come in like that. Than they don't drive it to see if it has problems just 3miles going 20mph so it doesn't bump codes..(so they say it didn't have problems when we had it). Than my transmission goes out after replacement of the engine and I told them that there a lot of people who got the engine replacement (from the recall) that now has transmission issues because of the engine breaking. If you are in the market to trade-in and purchase a new or used car, please note two things. 1. know the true value of your trade-in and don't let the salesman know your asking price. I went to West Allis after my car was damaged and thought its value went down by the cost of repairs. Due to the damage I thought the value was around $4,000. The dealer had me fill out a form asking name, address, if the car has a loan and what you want for the car. The dealer came back with 3,500 for my can and offered to put a hitch on the new car after I asked. I said thank you but had to think about it. I went to CarMax and got an instant offer of $7,000 for my damaged auto, double what the dealer offered. BTW not dealing with Hyundai West Allis any more. read more

I have a 2019 kona and we have been back and forth to them because of engine ticking. This has been about four months. Each time we would do we go back as per the dealer. Make an appointment and we go in only to be told .... we are too busy! For an appointment? We were burning 1 quart of oil per 1000 miles. They said ....oh that's normal! What??? Now my 4 year old car needs a new engine. It's not over yet......they have no idea when they will have one . I have grandkids to take to school and pick up. Amazing service! I didn't buy my Hyundai from this specific dealership, but I trust Hundai service to take good care of their cars! Online booking is simple, and when I've called for clarity, the receptionist and service representatives are very helpful. Oil changes take the typical 45 minutes or so, and there are free snacks, free drinks, free WiFi, and a flat screen tv while you're waiting. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and the service techs are amazing- especially Brian B. He knows my name, gives great advice, and makes sure I'm taken care of. They have had my car for 4 months. they still have it and can't find out if it's under warranty. They never call or follow up. I have called multiple times and there's never a solution. Since my car doesn't run, they won't have it moved to the Greenfield location, but say it is my job to move it. Worst service I have experienced. This review is for the service department, as I did have a positive experience once with their parts department, but this recent experience definitely ruined my opinion of this dealership. I scheduled an appointment with Hyundai West Allis for annual maintenance on my car, which I bought last year from another dealership. In hindsight, I probably should have seen the red flags when I called them to schedule the appointment and they refused to tell me over the phone whether or not my car would qualify for the complimentary maintenance- their response was just "you'll have to wait and see until you come in for your appointment". For comparison, both of the other dealerships in town were immediately able to tell me if I qualified once I told them my current mileage and VIN. Keep that statement in mind, as it only gets worse from there. Not wanting to be the stereotype of a young female driver with her first car who gets scammed at the service desk, I made sure to thoroughly read my Owner's Manual and the Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance Program details online. It was clear from these documents that I would qualify for my first complimentary maintenance after 12 months or 7.5k miles of driving. While the mileage on my car was lower than that, I did have the 12-month qualification, so I did not expect to have any issues when going to the dealership. However, it's a good thing I asked to triple-check once I got to the service desk, because suddenly this dealership declared that they were only counting miles and did not accept the month qualification- which is not what I saw in anything that I read. I did bring up that I believed 12 months of vehicle ownership would also qualify me for the maintenance, but I became a bit alarmed when the response I got was "Well, I can look up your VIN to check, but if I do so you will automatically forfeit your Year 1 complimentary maintenance and have to wait until next year to have your car serviced". It was definitely a weird threat and one that did not seem logical at all, though it seems that they told that to me thinking that I would not know any better. Since this did not sound right to me, I told them that I would think about it and went back to my car. I'm not a confrontational person and did not want to cause a fuss about it. As I mentioned earlier, both of the other Hyundai dealerships were able to look up my VIN without removing my maintenance guarantee, so I am still not quite sure where Hyundai West Allis came up with this excuse. I did want to give them the benefit of the doubt, so I called Hyundai Consumer Affairs to make sure that I wasn't mistaken. The representative on the phone was very helpful and confirmed that indeed, it was either 12 months or 7.5k miles that would qualify, and dealerships could not pick and choose to only accept one or the other. She filed a report for the incident and advised me to tell the dealership about it. However, at this point I did not trust them to perform quality service on my car even if they did accept the Hyundai policy, so I decided to go to another dealership to get serviced (which was much better). Since I have also had experiences with dishonesty in their sales department when trying to buy a vehicle last year, I don't anticipate that I will be returning to this dealership. I hope that others can have more positive experiences with them, but make sure you know your stuff before you go! read more

I went to West Allis Hyundai to have my oil change and tires rotated as scheduled on 11/23/2021. My front passenger side tire/wheel fell off on 12/7/21. I had the car towed to West Allis Hyundai because they were the last people who serviced my car and did the tire rotation about 2 weeks prior. I was first told I had to wait until the middle of January until they could see it. About 20 min later Michael from the service desk called to say he was sorry and when I had it towed there they would give me a loaner car. When I came in with the tow truck driver, the car was greeted by the mechanics and taken right back to the garage. Later that afternoon the service attendant Michael called to tell me it would cost $900 to get the wheel back on and that was not the price of the body work needed. I would have to pay that over and above. When I asked if the dealership would take any responsibility for payment or offer some compensation, he said no. The service manager felt it was an act of god and I should just turn the claim into my insurance company. The Service Manager or Manager making the discussion that the dealership was in no way responsible never talked to me or gave me their thoughts on how the wheel would have fallen off. They have never spoken to me. In talking to other mechanics, they looked at the pictures and said it appeared that the lug nuts were never tightened down or even put on after rotation. The one post is broken off where that would have been the one lug nut in place. I feel the business did not show good faith in their work or any integrity. I'm hurt because the car was always serviced there. I bought it in 2015 and had my oil changes and maintenance done there since purchasing it. I have been loyal and trusting to them, but they in return have turned their back on me.  In my opinion, good business is not done that way. Bought my car from Hyundai International Auto, along with the service package. All they care about is selling you a car, they do not want to service your car. I was lied to and told that I would have to drop off the car for 2 days and then THEY would have to hassle with Hyundai corporate to start the procedure of the oil consumption test. After calling Hyundai USA Corporation who told me a totally different story, I scheduled the oil consumption test with Boucher Hyundai of Waukesha. It is simply an oil change with an extra five minutes of paperwork. "We can take care of you no problem!" This is what Hyundai USA Corporation also told me. Unlike any sales experience I have had before. It is apparent that you need not excel at any true skill to work at West Allis Hyundai. It felt like I had to hold their hand and walk the sales associate through the initial communication process, and continue to help them along the process, all the way up to the delivery of the vehicle I had purchased. I found it interesting on the afternoon that my wife and I were picking up our brand new vehicle, in the pouring rain mind you, we were directed to go outside to look at the car for the first time. I quickly suggested maybe you could pull the vehicle into the service bay so we are not standing in the rain? Anyway the whole experience was one that we would most happily forget. To top it off, when the general manager (Dan R) whom never introduced himself to my wife or myself while sitting across a desk at the desk assisting the Finance Rep, that was the icing on the never again at this dealership cake. Really, If you're in sales and you don't even know how to introduce yourself to someone you should probably reconsider your career path, Dan R. Do yourself a favor and skip this dealership. There are plenty other dealerships who do care and do a great job earning your business. Unfortunately, we were in the market for a very high demand - low supply vehicle, and they knew it. If we didn't buy it, the person right behind us would at full MSRP. Lastly, when they say in an email "If you're just price shopping, we will match any offer you receive". They really are just saying that, they did not match another offer we received, in writing, because it was a Palisade, and they don't match pricing on that vehicle since it's popular and in high demand. I took my car there to have an ignition coil replaced after going to the O'Reillys on bluemound. They told me that it was a cylinder4 misfire. I thought this had been fixed because Hyundai West Allis charged me $600 in December to fix the same problem. I took my car in on April 6 telling them that I had a cylinder 4 misfire and it was most likely an ignition coil and I thought they had fixed it in December. No they only replaced two of the four. I had to Uber it home as they don't have loner cars. I get a phone call half an hour after I get home for them to tell me what I told them it was a cylinder 4 misfire. They made me pay $168.28 for them to tell me what I found out for free at O'Reilly's on bluemound. They told me they cost to fix the problem for $650 and I might as well fix the other coil for an additional $150. I was able to fix the problem for $44, a YouTube video and 5 minutes of my time. Never take your car to these rip off artists. Poor customer service and they will take advantage of you every chance they get. read more

I used to really like this dealership. We had 2 Hyundai's in our househould and had such good luck w/the cars & the service w/any warranty issues. It was always very easy to make a service appointment and get any little thing fixed. They even replaced the driver's seat for free because something felt odd after an accident I had. We went back for some service this week on my husband's car which is still under warranty. They were odd on the phone, not trusting the milage my husband told them that was on the car. He had a problem with a belt and they wanted to charge a $50 diagnostic fee just to look at it. In the 5 years we've been going here we were never charged a fee to look at the car and my husband told them that and they said they would waive the fee over the phone. So we get there and again the fee came up and my husband said they would waive it. The man was rude and said "no, my people need to get paid for their time". So we left and went to another place that did not charge to look at it. Crazy... we won't be going back for service. I also had an odd salesperson after my hyundai was totalled and I needed a new car. I ended up leaving and not getting another hyundai which I'm glad I did since their service stinks now. read more

Don't ever take your car here to get fix, I have never in my life experienced such horrible customer service. I had slipped off some snow lost control of my car and hit a curb I got my car towed here and never fucking again it took them two months just to repair my vehicle. (My car still needs more repairs done.) They sent my car to the collision center the manager there told me my car would be done in a month she ordered the parts and sent the car and the parts to auto service. They were completely awful they would never answer the phone, constantly told me they don't know what's going on with my car told me that parts was never ordered for the car would argue with me about what was going on with my vehicle constantly told me my car would be done in a few days. So when I talked to the general manager I was told that they wouldn't have the car parts until April 1st so I told them okay cool I would like to tow my car out and take it elsewhere then he told me I couldn't do that unless I paid for the car parts that magically they received on march 29th they tried to charge me for a tow fee and I used AAA roadside assistance to get the car towed there. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! They will argue with you waist your time and money and will try to charge you for extra stuff I will never take my car here ever again absolutely terrible service. read more

I bought my used 2014 Veloster Turbo from them in September of 2017, prior to them being bought out by International Auto. I got it with a Certified Pre-Owned warranty. I've had the car in a couple of other times and received wonderful service with no charge due to said warranty. I received emails from them recently that it needed its 45,000 mile service done. I was quoted $287. I told them that I had an engine light on having to do with emissions and asked them to check it out because I knew it was still under warranty. BTW, for 300 bucks you get a shitty oil change, a half assed car wash, a new air filter (like 8 bucks on Amazon) and a tire rotation. Woop-dee-do! I go to pick up my car, and I get a bill for $472. WTF? Well, I went around and around with belligerent service tech Andrew, who has no clue how to deal with customers, arguing with me that THE FIRST THING HE TOLD ME was that it was no longer under warranty so he had to charge me a diagnostic fee. Nope! In fact, when he called me about my "cracked brakes" (less than a year old) and the purge valve fix for $325, I told him don't do either, my ex is a former car mechanic, and I'd have him look at doing both. For the cost of the part. NOT $325. So when I asked about the extra $200. Andrew told me they changed the purge valve because I said to. Again...nope! Then when he angrily looked it up to "prove it to me" he realized they hadn't changed it. Huh. I guess I haven't lost my mind after all. What a relief! So! You know the thing they plug into your car's computer to get a read out of what the engine light is on for? Yeah, well that costs you 200 bucks, folks! I have missed my freaking calling as a high school teacher! Educating our future great minds! For basically peanuts! I got a Master's degree in the wrong damned thing! I could be making $200 a throw for sticking a tester in a plug and reading "fix purge valve!"Why didn't anybody TELL me? Oh and Andrew, when you wash a customer's car, it's a good idea to GET THE BACK END CLEAN TOO. Just sayin.' It's a white car...did you think I wouldn't notice? Needless to say, I won't be going back EV. ER. You shouldn't either. And,in case you were wondering, yes! My articulate, bitchy self got the diagnostic charge waved. You betcha! Really this review is negative 5 stars. Yelp makes you show at least one star. Update: My ex got the purge valve and told me it would take about a half hour to fix. I plan to call the service manager and make him justify $325 for a $14 part and an easy fix. Update 2: it took 15 minutes to change the part. Not a math teacher, but if they get $140/hour for mechanics and the part was $14, Then $325 is a FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT mark-up!!! International Auto has given a whole new term to horrible customer service. I have purchased my last two Hyundai vehicles at this location. My backup camera was malfunctioning so I called to make an appointment for a Saturday morning. I was told they could not help me on Saturday because of limited staff. I told them that I didn't mind if it was a couple weeks out because I work . 3 a.m. to normally 3 or 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and their service department closes at 5p.m. They still refused to service the vehicle. I called the dealership to speak with the General Manager and was notified that he has no authority over the service department. I expected to have an unpleasant buying experience because that's what seems to happen every time I buy a car. I looked at dealers inline and Mike Juneau seemed to have the best prices. Upon entering the dealership, I was met by Mike H. I told Mike that I wanted to test drive and I was ready to go in about 5 minutes. When I returned from the test drive, I expected to be given the hard sell but that didn't happen. I realized that I didn't have much time to discuss my purschase that day so I told Mike that I would be back tomorrow. When I came back the next day, Mike had the car I wanted in the color I wanted. I expected to have to bicker over what I would get for my trade in and was given more than I expected. The finance guy was personable and didn't dazzle me with numbers. Anthony then went out and dealt with some other customers even though there were other salesmen just sitting around doing nothing. I will start by saying this place is terrible .I bought a new 2017 SanteFe here.It had sat on the lot for a year according to the window sticker .I got It thought was a decent price. My wife and I are retired we don't put many miles on a car. We bought it last year in say march.And since put 4,100 miles on it .Next to nothing.The brakes started to pulsate a while back,We were told there is nothing wrong.Well it's getting worse .I got another appointment,for brake inspection $42.00 . Was told we don't drive enough to keep buildup down (rust) We have to resurface the rotors and pads $440.00 will fix it. We discussed this with service Manager, And he refused to fix the problem .He told me to file a complaint,even gave me the phone number .He told me I should bring it in every year or so to clean the brakes. I've purchased 6 vehicles from Mike Juneau's Arrow Hyundai. They were recently purchased by International Auto$. Last fall, they lost my Wheel Lock Key for the locking lug nut. The next visit, Arrow Hyundai Service Tech Scott Polzin said they would gladly replace it. I have never in my life felt like an unvaluled customer than I did dealing wtih Arrow Hyundai. I was asked by them to come in and give a down payment for the vehicle I wanted as good faith money to hold my car while I was out of town. I get there, my salesperson wasn't there, I stood in the inside the front of their building for about 20 mintues before being acknowledged only to be told, "That car was sold". I will never buy a vehicle here again. This dealership causes more problems then what you go in with. I took my car in for a wheel baring and now it makes a loud grinding noise. They said some rust built up around the breaks and it would be loud for a few days. This noise is not from rust and when i called them they wouldnt even offer to look to see if it was something they did. They would look at it for a charge though! A previous time i took my car in....because the engine had to be replaced they forgot to put a clamp on a fuel line and i lost a full tank of gas! They topped it off to the quarter tank i came back in on of course not the 3 quarters i lost on the way their! I will start going to the hyundai dealership closer to me. I thought i would give the dealership i bought the car from my continued business but obviously my business does not matter to them. read more

We brought my mother here a few months ago to purchase a vehicle. It was the smoothest, most easy going car dealership I have ever been too!! Our salesperson was Pamela, and she really listened and didn't try to put my mother in a car that was more than she needed. She doesn't drive much or far, so didn't need all kinds of features.
