On surgery day, a few minutes prior to surgery, the doctor changed the manner in which the surgery would be performed. Saying it was a better approach. Later I found out, "it" was not. Since I was under anesthesia, I am uncertain what the doctor, and/or his resident, did or how the snafu was orchestrated, but my bowel was sewn way up under my bladder with 4 stitches on either side, causing a closed loop small bowel obstruction. After surgery, I was in terrible pain, and I have a high pain tolerance. I knew something was wrong, but only the resident came to see me and gave me pain meds to block the pain, but never assessed what was causing the pain. The doctor never came to see me after surgery. The resident was not as nice as he had been prior to surgery. I was at a friend's house in Phoenix, I called the office, described that I was still having terrible pain, and was told "take your pain meds. that's what they are for". For several weeks, I informed the doctor and his office that I was in terrible pain and had a myriad of symptoms. The doctor assured me I was fine. I saw the doctor at two weeks post op. I told him I could not stand with out urinating on myself, no bowel movement since the surgery and I was in constant pain. I discussed all of my symptoms, which later I found out he never noted in my chart. I telephoned him regularly, as he gave me his personal cell phone number. He suggested I call him and not the office. He stated he would reassess me at 6 weeks post surgery and "that" would be my "new normal". I never got there, I had excruciating pain, and started vomiting bowel particles through my mouth. I called the doctor and he said it was just constipation and to take magnesium citrate. My post op care was non-existing. Long story short, I had to have a bowel resection due to the closed loop bowel obstruction. It took me years to recover my health. I still am not the same as before. Due to the "good ole boy system, It is was impossible to hold this doctor responsible for his actions.

Although Dr. Stone is a good doctor, his staff is horrible. They treat you like a number, they don't care , they don't listen to your concerns. Most of his staff are young girls that are on a power trip that have no idea how to communicate or talk to people. I got a lot of red flags that I chose to ignore first being I had made an appointment three or four weeks out because that was their soonest appointment. I called two days later mind you still weeks in advance to change the appointment to a different day and the girl that answered said she was going to have to put me on a hole to see if Dr. Stone wanted to see me anymore because I had changed an appointment. That was my first red flag. I should've ran so fast, but I didn't. I kept trusting that they will pull through for me with this horrible medical problem I had. I was basically desperate To get help, but I have now learned that no one has to put up with that kind of treatment and I will never succumb to any doctors office that treats you like shit. And what sad is a lot of doctors don't even know what their staff is telling their patients and They're just on these power And control trips. I've been in such pain and called in sick to work and they had the nerve To ask me who told me to call in sick when I can't even sit without being in terrible pain. I had surgery scheduled and now I have to start over with my new doctor and they have made me have to postpone this very much needed surgery along with Jeopardizing my reputation at my job and jeopardizing my state disability. I have a very strenuous job and lift 50 pounds on a daily basis, but they didn't care. They acted like I was trying to take time off of work for no reason. Staff is very demeaning, rude and sarcastic. In this type of practice, Dr should really have educated staff that know how to talk to people, especially in this field . They literally made me cry four different times after hanging up with them. They kept changing their stories and just ganging up on you like bullies in grade school. Pretty pathetic so I've now gone to a different Doctor Who is amazing and his whole staff treats you with respect and listens to your concerns and actually cares. Steer clear of this practice because you will be terribly disappointed and frustrated your choice. If anyone decides to go with Dr. Stone's office, you will be pretty much on your own with no help from his staff. If you have complications or questions you might as well forget about telling them because they'll just poo poo your symptoms and act like you're insane. I don't think anybody wants or expects to be treated that way. I recorded every single phone call and I suggest anybody that may be going to them do the same. They just couldn't comprehend the simple fact that I work out of California, but live in Arizona and I've been paying in interstate disability for years and it's there for me to use in these situations. They kept saying that it was Fmla and it was Social Security disability and then jessica had the nerve to say sarcastically "well we're not in California, we're in Arizona. " Literally talk to me like I was a five-year-old. It was maddening There are Many better urogynecology practices. Don't make the mistake that I made. And also read the reviews. There are a-lot about his incompetent, uncaring staff even one says it's like his staff are sleepwalking through their jobs. Beware . Very sad situation. I had originally booked at another place, went in and was super sketched out and left. I did my research and found this place, which has nothing but good things said about them. I am writing this review to help someone else who is in the same boat as me. When I got to camelback family planning it was very welcoming and nice staff. I took a zofran to help with nausea, right when I got there today they got me right in, my appointment was at 9:45 and I was out at 11. did the ultrasound, talked it over with the doctor (who was INCREDIBLY sweet) a stylish blonde fabulous older lady, who I expressed I was very nervous. She helped me along the entire thing and made me feel so unbelievably comfortable. The nurse in the room with me as well was fabulous. It was much more relieving then I expected. Mid convo in the procedure room I went out from the IV and then felt like one minute later I was in the recovery room, where a very sweet nurse also took care of me. I remember absolutely nothing until I woke up 30 minutes in the recovery room. If you are scared you will remember anything during the procedure don't worry you won't remember a thing. I was very worried about that. I am now home and feel so much better. I have light bleeding and cramps and I am so glad I went with the procedure over the pill, which I had originally planned on doing the pill but was talked out of it by friends saying this is the way to go. I wouldn't have done it any other way. This place is incredible and they really treat you like one of their own. If you are hesitant on doing this let me be your say on go here! I couldn't recommend more and will be recommending it to anyone I know in the future. I am terribly disappointed with my experience with Chandler Endoscopy center. I was referred here…read moreby Arizona Digestive Health in January of this year for my colonoscopy. I was told that I would receive a call before my procedure to inform me of my out of pocket cost once it was submitted to my insurance for approval. I did not. I will own a portion of this, I did not receive a call nor did I follow up with the center to see what the out of pocket cost would be. I was desperate at the time to get some answers and I was told by my Dr that this is the first best step and at my age I would be eligible to proceed through insurance. I then received my first invoice in Feb of this year. I was charged 8,000$ and my insurance only covered 500$ of this cost. I called the billing number first and all they wanted to do was set up payment plans immediately, not discuss where the disconnect was. Keep in mind I was on hold for 30 minutes before I spoke with anyone. I then proceeded to call the office, I left a message with Rosie 02-25-25 for the office manager Heather to discuss what the next steps were with the bill. I was confused, because I was assured that my insurance would cover the procedure. I did not receive a call back, so I left messages for Heather on 02-27 and 03-04. On 03-05 I did finally get a call back stating not to pay anything, they were resubmitting the bill to my insurance provider. I continued to receive calls and invoices from the center, so I called the office again on the following dates 03-14 (Angelica), 03-18, 03-27 and again I was assured that it was re-submitted to my carrier and I need not do anything at that point. I left it alone for about a month, then the calls and invoices continued to roll in. I called the office on 04-30, spoke with Heather and she assured me that she would be reaching out to their billing department directly to discuss with them what the issue was. I never received a call back, so I called on 06-19 spoke with Heather again and I was told the same. She would reach out to their billing department and call me back. There are some significant lapses, however I do work 50 hours a week and do not have the time to call everyday. I then had a heart attack in July, so I was out of commission for quite some time. In August I started to receive calls and text messages from a collection agency. They did not leave voicemails, I can only assume that it is regarding this matter. I called to speak with Heather on 08-07 and left her a message regarding this matter and to this date I have not received a call back. I am only to assume that since it has gone to collections, they deem the matter as closed on their end. I then researched pricing on my own if I was to pay cash and not go through insurance. I received prices ranging from 2-4k. So again I am to assume that we raised the rate because we are going through insurance? Now I am stuck with a 7500$ bill that was sent to collections, when I was assured they were resubmitting on several occasions. The whole procedure took less than 10 minutes (or 1,000$ per hour) At this point I do not know what to do, I will be paying for a colonoscopy that was recommended for the rest of my life along with the ER bills that are going to start rolling in from my heart attack. I will say this in closing, everyone was very nice, professional and made me feel very calm before and after the procedure. About a year ago I decided to get an implantable estrogen HRT pellet from Arcadia Well Woman. I did…read morea hormone panel and they told me my testosterone was low so they recommended I add some testosterone. I agreed, but the testosterone had an adverse affect on my and I spent the next three months irritable, aggressive, and full of uncontrollable anger. It affected my relationships. I almost lost my husband because of my mood shifts and irrational anger. I lost my self esteem, I grew body hair all over and I hated myself. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't think rationally. It was like a monster had taken control of my body and wouldn't let go. I decided I would never make the mistake of adding T to my hormones again. Last month I decided I wanted to try the pellet again, minus the testosterone. I went in for a checkup, and thoroughly explained what had happened last time and that while I wanted an estrogen pellet, I did not want testosterone again. The doctor agreed, she said "That was way too much, we won't do that again." We scheduled the procedure for late May. The procedure took place last thursday, and when it was over I said "I'm glad I won't have to deal with that testosterone anymore." and the doctor responded "What do you mean, we put testosterone in this pellet too." I told them to take the pellet out immediately, that we had had a thorough conversation about this and I made it clear that under no circumstances did I want testosterone. She said she didn't remember the conversation. I told her it's explicitly her job to remember the conversation. She told me there's nothing in the records about it. I told her it's explicitly her job to keep those records. The pellet had already crumbled in my body at this point and she informed me that she was unable to remove it. She gave me supplemental estrogen and prescribed spirolactone, but neither has proven effective in keeping this aggression in check. I am now faced with the prospect of another three months of artificial irritability, anger, and rage, and it is directly the fault of Arcadia Well Woman. It was malpractice, and it was assault. I wish I had the capacity to sue them. I wish I had the grace to let it go. But thanks to their actions, I have neither. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend someone go to this doctor.

I should start out by saying that I received good care from Dr. Holmes and his staff, and delivered…read morea healthy baby girl by C-section, which he skillfully performed. However, here are the things I wish I had known before I chose him as my provider: There were times during my labor and delivery that he didn't know who I was. He kept confusing me with other patients. This was entertaining in some instances and not in others - for example, when he confused me with someone else who under no circumstances wanted a C-section. My baby's heart was in distress, my own heart (with a documented and discussed history of arrhythmia) was tachycardic, my water had ruptured more than 30 hours before (a month prematurely), I was running a temperature, and I was only dilated to a 2, and yet *I* had to be the one to bring up the possibility of a C-section. He was shocked when I did, because he thought I was vehemently against surgical intervention. This, despite the fact that two days before at my 35 week appointment, we literally shook hands that he would lean toward C-section if things went south. Another instance of him not knowing who I was: my water broke at midnight, so I called the answering service. They took my name and gestational age, and within a minute I was speaking to the doctor who informed me to head to Banner Gateway. I saw him the next morning, where he looked at my chart and expressed surprise that I was only 35 weeks pregnant. This could have been dangerous if my baby had been any more premature than she was, as Banner Gateway isn't as well equipped to take care of premature babies as Banner Desert is. Even if the answering service failed to tell him my weeks of gestation, shouldn't he have asked? Or shouldn't he have remembered, considering I saw him 12 hours before that phone call, at my 35 week appointment? At first I thought it was neat that he spent so much time with his patients and that he does all the ultrasounds personally. But ultimately what that means is that he and his staff are over-extended, and you WILL wait at each appointment; possibly up to an hour. I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't just hire an ultrasound tech to re-distribute some of the work, because lord knows the man has plenty of demand. (I even had a hospital staff member say to me incredulously, "He sure delivers a lot of babies...") I assume he just doesn't want to pay another staff member, but the entire practice suffers as a result, and it doesn't look good for him. Tip: If you choose him as your provider, get into the habit of asking for the very first appointment of the morning. (And even then, you might have a wait, depending on how his early-morning rounds at the hospital go. But it's your best hope.) The ultrasound equipment is ancient; forget about seeing clear images of your baby. You'll be lucky if you can make out a spine or a head. My best friend was pregnant at the same time as me and the difference between our ultrasound photo keepsakes makes me sad. I had no concept of my daughter's face or profile before she was born. The office itself is very old and tired and decorated like an 80's Relief Society room. There's a Book of Mormon in the lobby. (I'm even Mormon but found that off-putting.) At my first appointment, they gave me a little trinket that I got the strong impression was intended to be distributed in the parking lots of Planned Parenthood clinics - a pin showing you the size of your baby's feet at 10 weeks, and I think there was a scripture? If I recall correctly? All of this to say, I did not get the impression that the doctor would be supportive of all of a woman's options and rights when it comes to pregnancy. At my six week follow up, he talked about prescribing me a birth control pill that could have caused my milk to dry up. Luckily I was informed enough to know that as a nursing mother I needed a pill without estrogen - but if I hadn't known that, it could have been disastrous to my milk supply. Also, as soon as I left my six week follow up, I realized he never cleared me for sex! I thought that was the whole point of the six week appointment!! It was never mentioned. I don't plan to have any more children, but if that changes, I won't be seeing Dr. Holmes again. He's a very nice man and his team is as wonderful as all the reviews say (Alejandra in particular is a true gem), but everything considered I cannot recommend the practice.

The NP takes the time to explain, while I felt like Dr. Reyes was always rushing and left me with more questions than answers. Front office and CNAs are ok. It's a hit or miss with them. Call the 480 number rather than the 602. They're obviously doing something right as I keep going back and definitely better than my previous DR.

Had first appointment with this group on 6/9/26 after my primary care doctor sent me to them after…read moreimaging (MRI) was done on my back. They had no check in procedure online, so I had to fill out 15 plus pages of information when I arrived. Then was told the imaging had not been forwarded to them so they rescheduled me for 6/29/26. Upon arrival I was handed a tablet to fill out my information again. Most of the information like pharmacy, emergency contacts, etc. did not appear as well as secondary insurance. Then was taken back to be seen by the Doctor after filling out all the information again. Unfortunately someone messed up again, and they still did not have the imaging. Wanted to set appointment for next week. So they will charge my insurance for two visits that never really amounted to any help for my back issue. Would definately NOT recommend this practice.
