Stopped in today and the food was subpar at best. Bread was dry and crumbly and the amount of meat and lettuce put on the original sandwich for the priced paid is shameful. The lady working the expo window was the rudest employee I've ever encountered at a Schlotzskys. The only highlight was the young man working the register. Do better Apex Schlotzskys.

Lots of meat on the deluxe original

Stopped by the drive-through for a late lunch. Drive-thru operator was very friendly and helpful - explained the difference between the original/deluxe original which is really just the deluxe has a whopping ton of meat! Of course, I chose the medium deluxe it was delicious huge and I couldn't eat it all! Made it a combo with a Diet Coke and a bag of chips. Overall very impressed - service was good and good was fresh and delicious! Their menu was large and there were a lot of very good sounding items. I played it safe with the original - I'm sure I'll be back to try something else!

Large sandwiches packed with flavor. While on 64, we decided to stop here since we had heard positive comments about it from others. We are glad we stopped, their sandwiches are delicious and flavorful. At first, I thought they were pricy (chips are an additional charge), but then I saw the size of the sandwiches. I should have saved half for later. We ordered the French dip pretzel and turkey bacon club. Our orders were accurate and ready in a reasonable amount of time. Their drive thru option is very convenient and their employees are helpful (I had several questions). We would recommend this establishment to others!

    BOGO Pizza Wednesdays

I was in the Cary Auto Park area and it was about lunch time so did a quick lookup of nearby eats...and Schlotsky's Deli popped up. I hadn't had Schlotsky's in forever so thought I would rekindle some old flames ;) Glad I did, because their pizzas were awesome sauce! Apparently on Wednesdays they automatically offer BOGO pizzas, so I ordered the BBQ Chicken with Jalapeno and Pepperoni with Garlic Crust. Both were great and there was plenty leftover. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was clean and tidy. The exterior could use some fresh paint because the remnants of old signage can be seen on the front, and the landscaping hasn't been kept up. This caused me to think it was closed when I first drove up. Hopefully they take care of that, which would probably help bring in more customers. Anyway, I didn't get to have a sandwich on this visit so I will certainly be going back. If you need a quick eat, this place definitely should be on your list.

We ordered the Chicago Dog, the Reuben Sandwich, and finished things off with a cannolo (yes, the singular form of cannoli). The Chicago Dog was delicious and loaded with flavor, although I have to admit the toxic-green relish initially threw me off a bit (see pic). Once I got past the visual shock, it was actually a fantastic hot dog that stayed true to its Chicago roots. The real star, though, was the Reuben Sandwich. At around $15, it was absolutely worth every penny. Generously stacked, perfectly toasted, and packed with tender meat, melty Swiss, tangy sauerkraut, and just the right amount of dressing. The cannolo was the perfect sweet ending to the meal -- crisp shell, creamy filling, and not overly sweet. What really stood out was how friendly everyone was. The staff made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be back... especially for those Thursday $5 draft beer specials. Apex locals, you've got a gem here.

I ordered the…read morehummus wrap with beef, and it was honestly one of the better wraps I've had around here--fresh ingredients, good portion, flavorful hummus, perfectly seasoned beef, and a nice mix of veggies and feta that all came together without being soggy or skimpy. The side of ridged chips with a little cup of sauce was a nice touch too. For the price, it's excellent value; you feel like you got a full, quality meal without it breaking the bank. The service was outstanding--the young woman at the register was super friendly, helpful, and genuinely nice. She answered questions, made recommendations, and just made the whole experience feel welcoming. No rush, no attitude, just good people. The place itself is clean and comfortable, with unique indoor and outdoor seating options that feel cozy and relaxed. It's not fancy, but it's well-kept and has a nice vibe for eating in. Big bonus points for no tipping culture here--no awkward tip screen shoved in your face, no guilt-tripping prompts. I appreciate when a business pays their staff fairly and doesn't put that pressure on customers. It's refreshing and makes me want to come back even more.

Something about being travel-hungry made one thing crystal clear: I needed a Wreck. And wow... this hit the spot perfectly. I ordered the A Wreck on multigrain, thin-cut, loaded with basically everything good in the house -- Genoa salami, roast beef, smoked ham, turkey breast, provolone, hot peppers, caramelized onions, pickles, cucumbers, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic aioli... the whole masterpiece. Every bite hit. The bread had that perfect warm toast, the meats were stacked generously, and the balance of tangy, savory, crunchy, and spicy was chef's kiss. The caramelized onions with the hot peppers especially took it over the top. Also grabbed a large Strawberry Dragonfruit refresher, which was ice-cold and ridiculously refreshing after airport chaos and North Carolina humidity. Exactly what I needed. If you're anywhere near RDU and debating a stop before heading home -- do it. This Potbelly absolutely delivered. The Wreck remains undefeated.

I received a confirmation email that my order had been received. When I called to see where my order was, I was given the Manager on the phone. He explained to me that the Credit Card didn't go through so they cancelled my order. No one ever called or sent an email saying the order was cancelled!! I could have easily provided another credit card! By now it was noon and I ended up running to Harris Teeter and picking up a dozen deli sandwiches, cookies, chips, and salad. It made for a hectic afternoon, but I saved nearly half what I would have spent at Potbelly and the food was just as good. What makes things even worst is that the manager didn't offer any sort of apology or offer a discount on my next catering order. I will NEVER order office catering from this location again!!
