I can't say no to warm sandwiches. The bread is really unique and toasted, but I wish there was as much meat as shown in the menu pictures since their slogan is "it's a mouthful!" anyway! I do like the variety of ingredients in the sandwich though - lots of types of veggies meats etc. The food comes out fast and hot. I enjoy the specific sides they have, but I wouldn't say they have something for everyone. So, I wanted a brownie. A good old fudge brownie. Did a quick search for a good brownie and came across this location. I went thru the drive thru and ordered my brownie. The staff was very friendly and wanted to make sure I didn't want anything else (what I didn't realize was the day I was there was a big specials day - go figure lol). Stopped by the drive-through for a late lunch. Drive-thru operator was very friendly and helpful - explained the difference between the original/deluxe original which is really just the deluxe has a whopping ton of meat! Of course, I chose the medium deluxe it was delicious huge and I couldn't eat it all! Made it a combo with a Diet Coke and a bag of chips. Overall very impressed - service was good and good was fresh and delicious! Their menu was large and there were a lot of very good sounding items. Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally able to stop by to pick up online order. First off, customer service from the cashier (also claimed to be the manager) is a disgrace to the restaurant. My online order was left on the online order pick up shelf, so naturally we walked up to grab the order directly, especially during rush hour @ lunch there were long lines of walk in customers waiting to order. The cashier rudely walked over and in an Extremely condescending tone stated: "For your future reference, you need to come see me first before grabbing your order off the shelf." The tone was so unpleasant as if she's talking to her dog. Then may I suggest, put up a sign so there's no confusion and also avoid pulling you away from your regular cashier's job during rush hour? I was hoping the food itself would make up for the bad customer experience, but no, this is our first and last. Full disclosure from the outset-This review is limited in scope because the dining room was closed for renovations according to posted signage. After finding out the aforementioned, I proceeded to the drive thru. Waited several minutes even though it was not busy, 1 car in front of me. Drove up to order, and was angrily greeted but the drive thru person. I inquired about pricing for Giant size sandwiches and was haughtily rebuffed. I felt rushed and settled on: 1) Smoky cheesy with ham 2) Turkey bacon club. Pulled up and was summarily greeted. I asked the drive thru person her name, and she responded Sarah. Followed up by asking about the dining room closure and she responded it was because 8 people walked out the day before, hence her attitude! No excuse. Service-Zero stars. When I got home and was able to enjoy the sandwiches, I was reminded of why I go to S-sky's; Very fresh and flavorful. I generally like the food here, but for some reason the cooks here are fully incapable of making bacon properly which is just mindboggling to me. On four separate occasions I've gotten a Turkey Club sandwich and every single time the bacon has been undercooked to the point I had to just take it off. Two of those orders were placed on the mobile app with special instructions that specified for the bacon to be crispy, and yet not only was it not crispy, it was undercooked. I usually just get the Original sandwich (which doesn't have bacon) and it's almost always good, but every once in a while I try to get the Club thinking maybe they've learned how to make bacon. Seems like they still haven't figured it out. I've eaten here many times over the years and I like the food for the most part, but the fact that their cooks don't know how to make bacon properly and do not pay attention to special instructions has made me go here less and less. Large sandwiches packed with flavor. While on 64, we decided to stop here since we had heard positive comments about it from others. We are glad we stopped, their sandwiches are delicious and flavorful. At first, I thought they were pricy (chips are an additional charge), but then I saw the size of the sandwiches. I should have saved half for later. We ordered the French dip pretzel and turkey bacon club. Our orders were accurate and ready in a reasonable amount of time. Their drive thru option is very convenient and their employees are helpful (I had several questions). We would recommend this establishment to others! read more

I was in the Cary Auto Park area and it was about lunch time so did a quick lookup of nearby eats...and Schlotsky's Deli popped up. I hadn't had Schlotsky's in forever so thought I would rekindle some old flames ;) Glad I did, because their pizzas were awesome sauce! Apparently on Wednesdays they automatically offer BOGO pizzas, so I ordered the BBQ Chicken with Jalapeno and Pepperoni with Garlic Crust. Both were great and there was plenty leftover. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was clean and tidy. The exterior could use some fresh paint because the remnants of old signage can be seen on the front, and the landscaping hasn't been kept up. This caused me to think it was closed when I first drove up. Hopefully they take care of that, which would probably help bring in more customers. Anyway, I didn't get to have a sandwich on this visit so I will certainly be going back. If you need a quick eat, this place definitely should be on your list. read more

He was respectful, but respectfully refused service during their advertised hours. Gave me a card to call general manager. SURPRISE no answer and mailbox full. I noticed during the ordering process that I said thank you a few times with NO response from him, but I didn't think anything of it. I pulled up, paid, said thank you for my order to which he didn't respond. I was masked and figured he didn't hear me so I repeated " thank YOU". I used to go to a Schlotzsky's in FL & they closed...2 decades ago! I had high hopes for this one while visiting my daughter in Raleigh. I saw some bad reviews on the service. Well... they served me a sandwich with the "wrong" bread. It turns out they ran out & wouldn't get a supply for 20 minutes. I smiled & said no worries as returned to my table. Truth is I didn't want to embarrass my daughter by complaining . The sandwich was delicious anyway! (Sourdough Ruben, I wanted the dark rye). So from what I understand I am one of the few real Schlotzskys fans left out there. When I was living in Charlotte there was only one Schlotzskys left and it was 30min away in Gastonia man oh man I couldn't wait till I had a shoot out that way so I could get me fix. This Scholotzskys on 64 I believe is now the only one in this area and It's my go to on the run "healthy" fast food. I only order one thing when I go to Schlotzskys and it's been this way for well over ten years now...the veggie sandwich. This veggie sandwich is like crack to me I just love it and when I get a craving for it I just have to have it. Understand that you will always wait longer at this drive-thru then other fast food places I assume it takes a little longer to make those yummy sammies. I can't really review anything other than that sandwich they use to have a Thai chicken pizza that was pretty good as well but the drive-thru menu here is really limited I bet if my lazy butt went inside to order i would see all that they had to offer. Oh let me not leave out that they have one of my favorite hot sauces. I eat hot sauce at every meal on every thing and this sauce just makes the sandwich it's not to spicy but very tasty. While out in the Apex area, my guest and I decided on lunch here. I had never been to a Schlotzsky's before. Counter person was patient while we checked out the menu options. I went with the Angus roast beef and my guest chose a chicken sandwich. We got our drinks, put the number on our table and the food was brought to the table quickly. This location in Cary has been around for many years. The one in Morrisville on Airport Blvd has closed and this Schlotzsky's remains. I came here with co-worker for lunch and I opted for a sandwich on their sourdough bread. It was not the sourdourgh I was thinking of (San Francisco style) and was ok. The service was fine and you pick up your order when they call your number. They have a new fountain machine with all the flavors and have updated their decor to make it more fresh. We used the coupon in our Go Play Save book and saved a few dollars after purchasing two drinks and a sandwich. My co-worker got the flatbread with bbq chicken and it was also pretty good. read more

We r regulars at Schlotzskys Apex. Been dining here for years. It recently went thru a bad time service wise but glad to say it is back on too. We think this is mostly due to the young gentleman working at the front register though he is in back cooking more often these days. He disappeared for a while and that was when things went south. Entered to find the employee that takes orders sitting in the corner at a high top on her cell phone. Asked what the most popular item was and was told the brisket burger. The picture looked great so I ordered one. Over 15 minutes later with no one in line ahead me my take out was delivered. When I opened it I can't make this stuff up I thought they had forgot to put the meat on it. Not even HALF of what was in the photo.
