Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the employee at the counter. He pleasantly took our order and answered any questions that we had. We ordered a Brooklyn white pizza, bbq wings and a piece of tiramisu. Everything was amazing. The crust on the pizza was cooked perfectly and all of the toppings were great. The wings were so good! The tiramisu was great as well. We will definitely return for more of the goodness that they offer. Lastly, the restaurant was very clean and nice and cool...it was hot outside lol. One of my favorite pizza places in the neighborhood of Raleigh-Durham. The layout and space is small only accommodating 30 or so sit down guests. The pizza is quality, hand made and delicious. You can peak and see the pizza being made. The portions are large, the pizza slices are big. The wings and sauce are awesome. I was in the Apex area today and happened to see a Johnny's Pizza so decided to get some wings to go. I was first introduced to Johnny's Pizza back in November at the location in Cary. I enjoyed the food at that restaurant so when I saw this one in Apex, I was excited to try it. This restaurant has available indoor seating, but it is fairly small. The cashier was welcoming and professional and took my order right away. I ordered two dozen wings in garlic, parmesan and mango habanero sauces, respectively. I asked that my wings be cooked well with a little bit of crisp, so I had a few minutes extra wait time. I was the only customer in the restaurant so the wait wasn't too bad. The wings were good. The sauces were definitely the highlight of the wings. Both sauces had a really nice flavor and a bit of a kick. The wing pieces were a good size as well. This place is horrible. They sub out their deliveries to Uber Eats so when you get the food its ICE COLD and they forget your items within the order. They have lost me as a customer, and I will get my pizza at a much better and more reliable place. read more

The pizza is the best around. Thin crust, great sauce and the right blend of cheese. I ask for a well done pizza which gives the pizza a crispy crust and the cheese is browned a bit giving it excellent flavor. It's a great New York style pizza. They need to open a place in Garner, they are in the process of opening in Raleigh soon. read more

I tend to come here if I want to grab a slice for lunch just because they're always a lot friendlier than other nearby options. The pizza is tasty, and the salads are substantial. So I was house sitting and craving some pizza and this came up as being less than 5 miles away and had decent reviews, but sadly, the product fell short for me. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. It was just average from a flavor standpoint. They got my name incorrect when I picked up the order, but the bigger issue was the price. It was crazy expensive$28 and some change. I had checked Yelp and their website for pricing before ordering and the pizza was listed for $15 so imagine my surprise when my total was double that! read more

We tried Johnny's twice last week and it was consistently good. They use a bit more sauce than most which I like. They cook it perfect when you ask for it just a bit past normal. * a lot of places don't grasp what this means and they often burn it. They don't get 5 starts because twice I tried the stromboli and twice I got a calzone, less the ricotta cheese. A true stromboli should be rolled or wrapped, not folded and tucked. The pizza is good so it carries the four starts all on its own and they delivery fast and hot. Like eat in the restaurant hot. For this and the extra sauce they use and understanding what a bit extra cooktime means secures their place as our go-to Friday night pizza delivery spot. read more

Spending more time in Raleigh now so I was delighted to see a Johnny's Pizza location in Apex! Since this location was closer than the Cary location, I decided to order delivery. Unfortunately they did not deliver to my location so I ordered pick up instead. They do offer curbside takeout. Masks are required inside the building and all employees that I could see were wearing masks. My order was accurate and ready upon arrival. I ordered online via Slice. Ordering is easy and straightforward. When they have deals available that are listed near the top. According to their store signage, they also have senior citizen and student lunch specials. I did their $11.99 large pizza deal and chose pepperoni as the topping (+$3). I was going to select garlic as well but it was an additional $3 just to add garlic. I do not like sauce on my pizza so it was just cheese and pepperoni. The flavor was good, but the dough was very tough. We also ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza. This pizza is delicious! Flavorful and satisfying. As anticipated, it did have a little kick to it. The pizza provided as this location is comparable to their other locations. We enjoyed our meal and will continue to recommend Johnny's Pizza to others! read more

We ordered delivery from here and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the penna al a casa(I think) and it was exactly what I wanted it to be. Not heavy on the sauce, lots of mushrooms and spinach, good portion. The pizza was very good too. The chicken parm was a good portion and the garlic knots are so yummy. We really enjoyed everything. Thank you WRAL for providing restaurant health scores. Food was too warm, the sink was heavily soiled, and equipment was dirty. They scored a B with an 88.5, which is gross. Previously they scored a 90.5 and another 88.5. When the health department came back after issuing the latest B, they hadn't improved and scored another B! Based on all of these reviews, this establishment obviously doesn't care about preparing food in sanitary and healthy conditions. This has been my go-to place for pizza and boneless wings for years, but based on these heath scores, I'm no longer coming here. This used to be one of our favorite take-out spots but unfortunately we don't order as often as we used to. I understand that prices are going up for everything & everyone. Unfortunately, JP has been regularly increasing their prices well before the pandemic. They have increased the prices so much that I don't want to order from them any longer. If I want to pay minimum $22 for a small pizza or $23 for chicken alfredo, for example, then I would rather go to a nice sit-down restaurant and be waited on. Yes there is a small dining room at JPs but the one time I went inside to eat they only had plastic-ware and I haven't been back (inside). The few times I've been here, I noticed that it was crazy popular with the young-uns. Lots of high schoolers in there just milling around over sugary drinks and pies. That's a pretty off-putting scene for me, so my repeat visits show how much I love Johnny's product. Driving into their lot can be maddening depending on the traffic. But it's worth it once you're there because these guys have the most insane chicken wings in the world. They are, hands down, my favorite from anywhere. Doesn't mater if you're having the surprisingly good honey mustard wings or just the regular milds, you're going to score your ass off. Generous helpings of Ranch, Bleu Cheese or whatever suits you are free and well made. Check in using your Yelp app for free garlic knots. The pizza can be okay to great, in consideration of what you order. I liked the cheese a lot. The pepperoni was a blast too. But the meat lovers was a bit of a miss. There was just too much going on and keeping it simple in the pizza department could get you a win. But the damn wings! Mercy! Give them a try and come back here to thank me or tell me how wrong I am. But, as a side note...there's another spot in Apex that's very similar to Johnny's where wings come in. This is good pizza. Their margarita fell a bit short because the tomatoe sauce was a tad acidic for my taste but they definitely used fresh ingredients. They just needed a pinch of sugar to sweeten it up aabd reduce the tomatoes acid but overall very good. read more
